Scottish Parliament and Welsh Assembly, local government in England and Scotland
The fascist British National Party are standing an unprecedented number of candidates in Scottish parliamentary elections, Welsh assembly and English and Scottish local elections. The BNP holds 49 local council seats in England and is hoping to significantly increase these. The BNP’s vote has increased 75-fold since 2000. It is now more important than ever to have a united national campaign to defeat them.
Since launching our campaign at a 600-strong national conference in February (please click here for full report), Unite Against Fascism groups across the country have so far already distributed hundreds of thousands of leaflets in key areas in order to help stop the BNP by turning out the anti-fascist vote. With four weeks campaigning until the local elections it is important you act now to stop the BNP.
Below are details of UAF activities in the weeks running up to the election period, including leafleting in key target areas, rallies, debates and gigs jointly organised by UAF/ Love Music Hate Racism. Please contact the UAF office for further details on 020 7833 4916 or email us your activities if these have not been included.
