News from the quiet Revolution

Having adopted the role of historian to the phenomenon of the BNP's Quiet Revolution, a concept much trumpeted by that noted naturalist and angler, Mr Simon Derby, it is perhaps time to offer a further update.

As the excitement of May 1st, and Mr Richard Barnbrook's magnificent triumph in securing a seat on the largely irrelevant GLA (by a margin of a few decimal points), recedes let us consider the BNP's performance across a broader canvas. After all, the whole basis of the Quiet Revolution is:

a) that the BNP is fielding more and more candidates, across a wider geographical and social spectrum;

b) that their electoral support is growing.

So what happened in the rest of May? Well, there were only six local authority by-elections, four of them in Somerset! No seats changed hands - there were four Conservative Holds, and two Lib Dem. The BNP fielded candidates twice, and there was one Green. Oddly, there were no independent candidates.

In a Chard ward of South Somerset District Council a BNP candidate secured 17.2%; the Lib Dem held the seat, with the Conservatives a close(ish) second. A disturbingly high percentage, but would it have been significantly lower had there been a wider range of candidates? In particular one wonders what impact the lack of a Labour candidate had on this contest.

The other BNP candidate was for a Medway Unitary Authority vacancy, in the overcrowded "multiculti" south east of England. They polled just 6.8%. A particularly poor result, especially given the withdrawal of UKIP (who polled over 9% last time) and an Independent (over 6%).

Across all six by-elections 9957 votes were cast; the BNP gleaned just 411 of them (4.1%). And no, I don't think that translates to 12.3% if they'd fought all six seats!

But if May was poor, the prospects for June look worse. On the first two Thursdays of June there are fifteen scheduled by-elections (for a total of twenty vacancies). The nominations by party are as follows:

Conservative 17 Liberal Democrat 17 Labour 17 Independents 7 Green 3 BNP 3 Plaid Cymru 3 UKIP 1 Left List 1 (there is also one "no description" candidate).

What is also interesting is the geographical spread of the BNP candidates, as all three are standing in Cumbria (one in Cockermouth - please form an orderly queue for jokes - and two in the Upperby Ward of Carlisle). So no BNP candidates in such areas as Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire or Sussex. And no BNP candidates in Waltham Forest or Harlow byelections.

British National Party? Or Cumbria Party?

Oh, and no candidates in the Welsh byelections, in neither Newport nor Flintshire (home of Excalibur marketing unless I'm mistaken?) - not very good for a party led by a resident of Wales?

Signs that things are not too jolly in Chez BNP as things stand. Over the five week period just 5 candidates for 26 vacancies plus - of course - the failure to field a candidate in the Crewe & Nantwich parliamentary byelection.

And all this just as the 2007 accounts fall due for publication. Wonder what they will reveal?

  1. A thoughtful article, thank you.

"And all this just as the 2007 accounts fall due for publication. Wonder what they will reveal?"

We're all wondering that. I'm also wondering if the BNP is going to be late enough submitting them to have to fork out another unnecessary £1000.

  2. Quiet revolution or noisy, it doesn't matter. If Nick Gri££in gets in as an MEP he'll dump the party and go off to play with his European mates leaving it run by that moron Mark Collett or Richard Barnbrook. Either of them will fuck it up completely within six months.

  3. Nottinghamshire, and Shropshire, were destroyed by Darby more than 12 months ago. Its a recurring pattern. 2 yrs ago he destroyed Walsall, Birmingham, and Worcester.

The BNP, is run by the STATE.

To answer that properly, you must first ask, what exactly is it, that Darby does, what is his purpose within the BNP organisation? and what has he achieved for the BNP?

The answer to all the above questions, is nothing. He does nothing, and has achieved nothing.

Even during the one term he served as councillor he did and achieved nothing. He attended no meetings, or spoke at them. He even stood from a fraudulent address that even the press never picked up on.

If you study Darby's blog, it's about as political as the Mad Hatters tea party...

  8. Who runs the BNP's website these days?

The "Editor" has commented to a poster that a BNP victory in Henley would be "rather surprising".

Well, it's one way of putting it !!!!

  9. GRi££in = Greedy capitalist snob interested only in getting himself on the gravy-train in Europe.
All his ‘friends’ are freaks. His wife is a lesbian wannabe but without the courage to live like one. She has made several drunken advances towards different women within the party, that is always hushed up afterwards.

Collett is a sexual predator with a taste for underage girls.

    Walker is a corrupt alcoholic.

Barnes is probably the most mentally ill person ever to run a blog let alone be a ‘spokesperson’ on legal issues within that grubby little party.

Reynolds, whose vile sexual activities include things that I simply can’t bring myself to describe right now.

5IMon Darby, is without doubt ‘state’ or similar but Gri££in won’t act. He won’t act because Darby is still serving a purpose in propelling the fat slob towards the European seat he so dearly wants.

EVERYONE must work hard and deny the scum-bag his nice little retirement nest-egg. He would be so absolutely gutted had seek even more retribution buy purging everyone except Collett; the party will be completely finished then. Fucked.

  10. Searchlight's sewers column has a fantastic dig at Darby this month.

Are you able to re-print it here?

  11. I see a poster on stormfront is upset by our debate on the british nationalism forums. Cromwell aka Brendan Scarborough described SF as a "meal ticket for Don Blck and david Duke" band said anyone who argues with a sustaining member(one who pays them £3.50 a month) gets banned!
So now we know where the owners get so rich!

  12. Someone calling himself MrRS is upset! He posted

    A rival to Stormfront?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My initial post in this thread was obviously satrical but i fear that some of you have missed its purpose. This being the internet, satire is not often understood in the way that it is intended.

The British Nationalist Forums is a website which is obviously designed to fill a niche, it is not, and doesn't seem to want to be Stormfront.

The opening post in this thread is misleading and when a poster takes such comfort in using websites such as Lancaster's bunch of loony communist fruitcakes website, i find it rather bizarre and i wouldn't believe a word such a person said.
It seems that someone has taken offence to the BNF forum and is using every means at their disposal to slander the BNF, that person is the person who started this thread.

    Readers beware.

I suggest to anyone that has free mind, is that they should read the forum and make their own mind up about it. I have never, and i never will trust anybody who uses arsewipes such as those Lancaster communists in an effort to slander anyone.
If anything we should turn the spotlight onto the starter of this thread, the poster who uses the name of Kenday.

  13. "Brendan Scarborough". Who he?
A rival to Scumfront? Not a chance. SF has 133,000 members. "Scarborough" has a massive 210.

  14. "Silent revolution" more like. That's the way 51mon Darby likes it, that's what he's been paid to do. Keep it quiet. When has 51mon ever written a political article or even given a political speech? He is as dull as dishwater and wouldnt know his right wing from his left wing. He is far more passionate about kites and guillemots than he is about politics, still he has to pay the mortgage on his nice Welsh cottage a short drive from his charge Gri$$in.

  17. Paedo Boy and Hitler fetishist Collett is the next BNP leader.

    Griffin said so himself, lol

For anyone who thinks he's a political lightweight, check out the many videos about him on You Tube including the infamous Russell Brand video.

  18. ""Brendan Scarborough". Who he?"

Just some civic nationalist type who seems to have upset some of the retards on SF. He seems to have a split internet personality. He isnt even using his real name and whats with a so called "British Nationalist" who lives in the States.
