'I truly believe that there has never been a political leader in this country so hated by his own people.' Sadie Graham
Just when you think the BNP's December Rebel faction has disappeared into the obscurity it deserves, it suddenly pops up again like a demented Jack-in-the-box to bite Nick Griffin on the arse.
Sadie Graham has been temporarily resurrected from the politically dead specifically, it seems, to attack Nick 'Fingers' Griffin for his lying and cowardice, the lack of proper leadership in the party and the complete lack of structure within the BNP. Regarding this latter point, she says;
'One day the world will know that Nick Griffin is a liar and a coward...[the] party is without doubt in turmoil and decline. The votes are decreasing and the rate of councillors is not moving forward...too many councillors don’t get re-elected into their seats, so something is seriously going wrong. The problem is the leadership or lack of it, there is no party structure, no shadow cabinet, regional, national organisation and accountability are extremely poor, basically the Party is not moving and growing as it should be now. It should be every true nationalist’s role, both within and outside of the Party, to do all that they can to remove Griffin from the position as Chairman. This is the only way to secure the Party’s future, so that a pro-democratic and anti-corrupt structure can be formed in his place...I truly believe that there has never been a political leader in this country so hated by his own people...
In these past seven months I have been amazed, amused, angered and left in disbelief at the way Griffin has handled this whole affair. If he hasn’t been lying about us then he has been skirting the issue or refusing to discuss it. Has the ‘Mighty Chairman’ told you he still has my computer and all the data on it? No, I haven’t had it returned, despite me returning every remaining Party item I had in my possession. Several of the items that he returned to me that were ‘mistakenly’ taken from my home in that illegal entry by BNP Security were also returned to me not in working order. Quite petty really but then nothing would surprise me now when dealing with this man – and I use that term quite loosely.
Plainly folks, the BNP will not make any serious inroads whilst he remains at the helm, it saddens me deeply but this is the reality and every day more and more people are realising this. It was a real shame that Colin’s campaign didn’t take flight, but it was always going to be virtually impossible when you have a Chairman that uses expulsion and proscription as a way of keeping himself in power. As if little version of Robert Mugabe, Griffin would have us topped if he thought he could get away with it. Colin was a brave man to stand and good on him for doing so, I just hope that more people find the courage to sign the nomination papers next time Griffin is challenged; and yes there will be a next time!
So where do we go from here?'
But that turns out to be a rhetorical question for Graham's only response to it is to say for the umpteenth time that the party needs to remove Griffin. That's it.
And this is where Sadie Graham and the rest of those in the rebellion of last December have failed dismally. As was clear from the support that the rebels garnered and the support gained by Colin Auty, a relative unknown in the party as a whole, there is a whole section of the membership that feels that it has been let down by the leadership of the BNP: not just Griffin but all the hangers-on too, and Graham clearly thinks that this should be enough to carry her supporters until they get rid of Griffin or, as seems more likely, he leaves of his own accord.
One of the responses to the Graham post on the Voice of Challenge blog begins, 'Excellent post Sadie, your silence these past few months speaks volumes for your own integrity...'
The writer of this comment is wrong. Silence says nothing of integrity - rather the opposite, in fact. The truth is that Graham (and the rest of the rebels) have lost their nerve and have no idea where to go from here. They are faced with a leader who is damaged goods, with accounts that are commonly known to be well, dodgy, to say the least, and with a party that appears to have become stagnant with its own ineptitude - scoring political points only because the climate is perfect for it and gaining councillors more by accident than design. Certainly, it's clear that councillors get no real support from the party, simply because there is no real support structure in place, despite the fact that the BNP has been getting councillors elected for some years now.
There are a million things that Sadie Graham could have said - after all, she was once a senior officer in the party and as such would have been privy to a lot of information that could doubtless have knocked Griffin off his perch in no time at all. She chose not to and the only reason for doing that must have been that she hoped at some point to inherit the BNP by proxy, simply because the membership knew her name and she seemed, on the face of it, suitably clear of the financial problems that plague Griffin and thus a likely successor by popular acclaim.
It's too late now though, and by leaving it this long to attack Griffin, and by doing it so half-heartedly, the rebels have shown themselves to lack the spirit to take over even if they were to be offered the opportunity. A call to arms from Graham immediately following the December purge could and probably would have destroyed Griffin quickly but this anti-Griffin puff of air does nothing except repeat what has already been repeated ad nauseum - Griffin must go. We keep hearing this but there he still is, still ripping off the membership (feel free to sue us for that, Mr G - we'd really enjoy the court case and the publicity) and still manipulating the party like it's his own big expensive toy.
If this is Graham's tentative opening salvo against the enemy, fine - we look forward to the next. But we suspect not and if we're right and this is all she has to fight with, this attack is Sadie Graham's swansong.
Sadie who?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunatelt for Graham and for the VOC, she was pregnant for most of the last months during the december purge onwards and has only given birth recently. Even Gri££in knew she would be, in his words, "out of action" due to it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she is now going to ocme out fighting although with a baby at arms its a bit unlikely
What did Sadie Graham expect? This is the BNP afterall! It's being the BNP! You can't change the BNP! Duh Sadie Graham.
ReplyDelete"'I truly believe that there has never been a political leader in this country so hated by his own people.' Sadie Graham"
ReplyDeleteThat's the most honest thing she's ever said.
Poor old Chris Hills starting to sound desperate on the VoC site
ReplyDelete"An excellent post Sadie, but it really says nothing we didn't all know already. Also I don't agree with your view that Colin's campaign was doomed from the start, it could have been won.
You end the piece by saying: you can't tell us how to get rid of Griffin and his gang, my question is if you can't who can?
Could you not organise a half day conference, similar to the January VoC meeting, for the Sunday morning of the RWB, after which we could then attend Griffin's EGM on mass. The many members who recognise the truth about Griffin need leadership, like it or not Sadie that's you!
I say to Sadie, Ian, & Kenny, you started all this (and I for one am very grateful you did), you're our generals in this fight Griffin has now set the time and date of the next skirmish (Sunday afternoon after the RWB): plan a strategy, organise the troops, and let's take the fight to him.
From
Chris Hill
(Lancaster)"
Oh dear. LOL
Very sympathetic towards Sadie aren't we?
ReplyDeleteThe fact that you want Griffin removed as much as her should be a warning to all the loyal Nationalists.
"politically dead"????
ReplyDeleteHardly, Sadie has been a serving councillor - also the silence from the rebels has been adopted as a result of advice from their legal team. The Court battle, one which Griffins claims he doesnt want and its obvious for all to see just why he doesnt want it, will be the showdown, Griffin's nemesis.
Im no LU supporter but one has to ask the question why would you want to see Griffin go, he has been doing your work for you; overseeing pathetic election results, spending members money to the point of disaster and not making any headway in what should be a very good political climate for the BNP. If you want to see the BNP fail you just need to prop up the liability that is Griffin.
'Very sympathetic towards Sadie aren't we?'
ReplyDeleteDon't quite see how you get to that. Perhaps you didn't read the final sentence: 'But we suspect not and if we're right and this is all she has to fight with, this attack is Sadie Graham's swansong.'

There are a good many reasons for us wanting Griffin to go - not many of which I am going to share on a publicly-accessible blog.
Gri££in v Green Arrow fall out on SF: Could be wrong but that could be contrived. Degenerated too quickly
ReplyDeleteThat Chris Hill guy from Lancaster is just pissed off because he's not needed in Nick's BNP. When he was organiser in Lancaster he never did nothing and is just spitting his dumb out because things are happening there now. In 7 years he never put a single leaflet out or sold any papers on the streets, he was just an arm chair activist at best. Now he wants to destroy Nicks successful new organiser in Lancaster because he is not part of it. Just days after he was appointed last week he had people out with a stall in the town centre, something Hill never did in 7 years. I'm not surprised you publish his posts here because he's been working for you for 7 years anyway. Fuck off Hill all true BNP people hate you.

ReplyDeleteThat's the best fantasy post I've read all year. None of it's true at all.
Hill certainly put leaflets out because we retrieved piles of them and what a load of lying shite they were. There is no 'successful organiser' in Lancaster and you know it. Or if there is, he/she/it hasn't got around to getting in touch with the area contact yet. Successful? How do you measure that then? By having a stall in town that was run by those fat bastards Jefferson and Ashburner from Cumbria and was driven off without any interest except some drunken twat after an hour? And Chris Hill working for Lancaster Unity? Why the fuck would we want a useless sod like him in LU?

She was pregnant, not fighting a critical cancer or flying to Mars and back! You may not have noticed Ted, but women in pregnancy stay at work, pursue political careers etc.
The long and the short of it is that Graham and her rebels have even less political savvy than Griffin - and that's saying something !
The reality is that the BNP in recent years has been an essentially unstable broad coalition ranging from fundamentally decent people who are simply brassed off with certain elements of life in 2008, via various (and variously nutty) nationalists, right through to some vile holacaust-denying, jew and muslim and black-hating headbangers. Throw in the various financial shenanigans and personal animosities ... oh, and the various alleged sexual peccadillos .....
Can this sorry tribe actually be lead ?? Probably not.
Chris Hill on the EiE blog always kept a candle alive for Nick "The Cyclops" Griffin calling for moderation instead of all out attack.
ReplyDeleteThe softly softly strategy has failed miserably.
His feeble mindedness and wimpish attitude towards Griffin has finally been paid back by Cyclops by pulling the rug from under his feet.
Chris Hill had his chances to rally against Cyclops but he fannied around too much to help Sadie the slightest.
suspicious minds about Lancaster Unity's intentions = ensures griffin stays in power
ReplyDelete"The truth is that Graham (and the rest of the rebels) have lost their nerve and have no idea where to go from here."
ReplyDeleteThat's what this whole article's about isn't it. Forcing the so-called rebels to put up or shut up. Well I can tell you they're not going to put up because they have nothing. No ideas, no verve, no sense. The rebellion could have done a number of things, got rid of Griffin and his useless crew, split the party, killed the party. Instead it's been allowed to fizzle out like a damp squib and all we're left with is the odd bleat like this one from Sadie, which means nothing and will change nothing. Your right, the rebels lack the spirit to do anything substantial.
"Can this sorry tribe actually be lead ??"
ReplyDeleteYou can be the judge of that when we do!
'You can be the judge of that when we do!'
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like Lee Barnes. It's incomprehensible drivel anyway.
To Ted the REd
ReplyDeleteGreen Gobshite is just another of Cyclops' internet arse lickers, just another gobby BNP blogger with an IQ smaller than his age.
The BNP leaders wouldn't piss on his if he was on fire. Could be he's finally seen through Cyclops and the gang but don't go betting your shirt on it.
Chris B
Griffin must be pissing himself laughing how fear of both antifascism and griffin has left many people caught between a rock and a hard place.
ReplyDeleteThink about it, you rebels!
Regarding the well edited picture, I think there should be a competition to guess what Sadie is either thinking or saying, could be quite a laugh.
ReplyDeleteI keep trying to tell you all
ReplyDeleteThe BNP exists because the state needs it to exist. The BNP, is the Littlejohn column for the voting public, a safety valve in which to trap and hold the states idea of all threats to democracy.
Without the BNP, where would they go? The Copeland’s, and Cottages, are easy to find within structures that they find attractive, and that is why those structures are ALLOWED to exist.
I’m convinced Griffin was hand picked for nationalism, and taught the ropes by his father.
Griffin will go nowhere until the state sees he is on rocky ground, and when the states fear of the dispersal into the underground of what might be dangerous nationalists forces a change at the top. Then, and only then, will the state take Griffin down, and not necessarily for anything illegal. They may grant him MEP status, and he’ll retire from the party leaving another groomed state youngster to takeover (Collett, or Jennifer Griffin) just as Griffin was groomed.
BNP members need to step out of the bubble, and start living.
Regards
SE
Rebels suspended and dismissed from the BNP were hoping for a revolution - or if not, giving Cyclops a metaphoric (not actual) bloody nose, and hopefully making him take site of his own mentally ill mind.
ReplyDeleteSadie Graham's idea of a revolution is to have a quiet whisper on her knees AFTER the RWB has ended.
WHY THE QUIET DIPLOMACY, GRIFFIN!!!
Competition.
ReplyDelete'Can't see Griffin clearly cos Colletts head is in the way, Oh well, bonus or what'

PUTTING THE KLAN INTO SCOTTISH CLANS
ReplyDeleteLacking things to do after leaving the BNP, Kenny and Scot McLean have set up a sham Scottish nationalist organisation which is not a political organsation, but aims to become a social society.
www.scotland-first.org
It is advertising a Highland Games event, ,making it appear ordinary, and quite bona-fide, however reading on in the terms and conditions of the society, but it's not just Scots who may join: -
Scotland First is open to ethnic Scots here in Scotland and the wider Scottish diaspora across the world as well as "other patriots in Scotland, Britain and elsewhere" whose people broadly share the same ethno European heritage and who, like Scotland First wish to see these separate European identities and cultures survive and flourish".
The stated aims of the organisation is "to provide and promote comradeship to nationalist patriots who espouse a love of (white) folk and family".
In other words, it's so-called "white pride" or white supremacy masquerading as Scottish nationalism.
The part of their website that makes me chuckle is the following wording: -
"Scotland First has no formal membership but organises activities with the financial and practical support of subscribers who provide a monthly contribution".
Either The McLeans are organising days out in the sun, hoping to become the "Walace Arnolds of Scottish racial nationalism", or they are secretly hoping to "do a Griffin". and pocket the money. Whether or not this is true, this is what Nicholas Cyclops will say when he makes fun of the movement, hoping to undermine them.
Is this "partnersnhip" is somehow designed to register the founders for working tax credits, or will the "directors" be paying themselves above inflation "wages" for being self-employed operatives of Scotland First? Being an unaccountable political organisation is bad enough but for a little known social society, members would be mad to part with their hard-earned cash.
Perhaps they are trying to recreate the cultishness of the Red, White and Blue festivals in Scotland. Or they want more friends to hang out with, and aren't into swinging like many other members of the BNP such as Cromie and some of Nick Griffin's heavies (I remember when someone put those photos up on Indymedia, lol).
Before I go on , there's something I must point out to the organisers of Scotland First. There's a disctinct difference between using members subs to fund activities that families can take part in, and latching onto the back of long-standing activities that Scotland First has not planned, and has not historically been involved on.
It makes you wander whether Scotland First, as well as claiming Highland Games as their own Scottish Caucasion invention, will also be claiming that they pioneered Highland Spring mineral water, highland mist, and Aberdeen Angus cattle.
Whether the rebirth of Scotish nationalism will take to far right politics, or rather, social activities is questionable. Yes, there's nationalist fervour in Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Glasgow, and the win in the bye-election for the SNP spells a sea shift towards Scotland going its own way, which will also spell the end for the BNP. Maybe this organisation is meant to be a thorn in the side of British Nationalism, cocking a snook at Nick Griffin.
Either way, it is terribly sad that neo-nazi politics have become a fledgling social club, as, like the Ku Klux Klan, national social(ist) organisations that don't compete in elections are harder to keep track of.
And it's extremely sad that the all-embracing cultural nature and diversity of Scotland, a nation that exported labour and immigrants to all four corners of the globe, as with Ireland, is being perverted with skin-colour nationalism, when independence is all that true Scottish nationalists seek.
The SNP is politically neither left or like. Like Plaid Cymru, the SNP is a party that is reviving thoughts that Scotland should revert to being an independent sovereignty, bring thought to Mary, Queen Of Scots, expressing Scottishness through sporting activities, language, the arts and preservation of rural scenery, which are points of interest many patriotic Scots can align themselves to.
With hindsight, perhaps Scotland First, is shooting itself in the foot by being a Scotish Natioalist organisation (albeit without the baggage and the infighting of a political organisation), as the extreme right in Scotland has for a long time, aligned itself with Rangers and the Orange Order, a sectarian outlook which admired London more than Scotland.
If Rangers fans don't like tossing the caber, someone might as well them them "yer all doomed" in Dad's Army Fashion.
To get a true idea of Scottish Nationalism and the way troops north of the border have been cannon fodder for many centuries to fight Britain's colonial wars, one should refer to the sentiments Black Watch, a stageplay which began life in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe before successfully transferring to the West End. Unlike some threatre which relies more on fiction than reality, Black Watch was based on real testimony, and pays tribute to the resiliance of Scottish troops while expresses regret that they were, (much like the unknown Star Fleet lackeys who guest star as an away team from the Star Ship Enterprise before perishing), Scottish soldiers in the Black Watch were used rather than empowered and commandeered by London.
True Scottish nationalism is all about pride in Scottish culture, human spirit and purposeful endeavour, not by bonds of race and parental nationality, but by attitude and positive nature under the worst of odds. Scotland, like Ireland, is a country that proudly celebrates its emegration and the hospitality shown worldwide to Scots, is ultimately repaid in the warm Highland hospitality that everybody visiting north of the border famously receives (all expect the colonial nEnglish, some people are muttering, lol)!
Skin colour and racial heritage matters not to the Scots, just like it matters not to the 101 nations around the world who pay tribute to the Scots by forming piped bands, and celebrating Burns Night. From the remotest regions of Africa through to Asia, South America to the Artic Circle, millions of people of all colours and religions (who aren't Scottish) have on their orn fruition become honourable Scots, because they admire scotland and the Scottish people so much.
Introducing a sickening racial aftertaste to Scotland, would be a disaster for worldwide public relations, and would undo 500 years of worldwide friendship between all countries of the world and Scotland. If revisionism is to be intruduced into the celtic psyche, people would instead view Scotland, not as a proud nation held back by greedy, selfish kings and Queens from England, but as an exclusively caucasian cult.
So, when the McLean clan start to tie cabers to each other to make crosses to burn like the Ku Klux Klan, and paint Hitler moustaches on paintings of Robbie Burns, they are besmirching everything positive and admirable about Scotland and the Scottish people.
Oh and lawyers from the bus and rail giant First Group might have soomething to say about the use of the name "Scotland First".
