Austrian fascist leader visited gay bar before death crash
The former leader of the far right in Austria was drinking in a gay bar the night he died, it has emerged.
Joerg Haider had never been open about his homosexuality, but his habit of surrounding himself with handsome blond teenagers had led many to speculate.
The German and Austrian press outed the married father of two daughters in 2006.
His fascist political views led him to high office in Austria, despite his open praise for Nazi policies.
Haider died in a car accident on Saturday morning near Klagenfurt, less than 30 minutes after leaving the Stadtkraemer, a well-known gay hangout.
Prosecutors have confirmed there was four times the legal limit for alcohol in his blood and he was driving at twice the legal speed limit when he crashed his VW Phaeton.
Haider, 58, was the Governor of the state of Carinthia.
Thousands of people are expected to attend his funeral today, and police are prepared for clashes with anti-Nazi protesters.

I wander how many Nazis will turn back around and go home once they know (like Cyclops and Bumbrook), there pure Ayran pin-up was someone who nazis would call a "degenerate".
ReplyDeleteI wander if the pent up angst of hiding their sexuality from a masculine hetero world full of homophobic haters leads gay neo-nazis to dispise the world around them, starting with easy targets in their eyes, other minorities.

ReplyDeleteLooks like Austria is putting the Klan into Scottish clans, with their claiming of the kilt as a neo-fascist fashion icon.
Any guesses what the dead Hitler worshipper wore under his sporen apart from leiderhosen?
He has much in common with Griffin
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Haider used the old Donkey/Dog trick which Griffin uses on the audience to deflect his own homosexuality?

ReplyDelete"International guests included Sayf Gaddafi, the son of the Libyan leader, who was a close friend of Mr Haider"
How many prominent BNP members attended the funeral?
ReplyDeleteOr did the fact he was gay put them off? lol
Shouldn't have out off Bumbrook, Collett and Griffin, lol
They should have turned out in the kinky leiderhosen
Is it me or is there a striking resemblance between Haider and the late Larry Grayson, compere of the phenomenally popular 1970s BBC Saturday night flagship light entertainment vehicle, The Generation Game?
ReplyDeleteI have no issue with homosexuality or any other adult consensual sexuality which is practiced in privacy, however I do have an issue with the far rights' homophobia and hypocrisy. There are so many of them that turn out to be homosexual it makes you wonder if their extremism is some form of reaction and self loathing. They would be better off with a dash of honesty - the likes of Arthur Kemp are well know to be homosexual in right wing groups in South Africa, hence their unpopularity, but he seems to be going to great lengths to deny this in the UK.

ReplyDeleteI agree, like anonymous what I can't understand is there homophobic homosexuality, BPP seems to have the same issues in their declarations.
Either the posters are incorrect concerning homophobic hypocracy i.e. I've checked and find Haider has never made such noises (don't know about his previous party)nor did his BZO, or Haider was not really far-right. I tend towards the latter since the far-right are hypocrits.
