Whittle (left) and Sheppard - overjoyed at the news of their imminent return to the UKStephen Whittle, 42, and Simon Sheppard, 52, of Selby, fled in July 2008 after being convicted of publishing hate speech against Jews and other groups on their website. The men sought asylum under America's free speech protections, claiming they were being persecuted for their right-wing views.
They were taken into custody at Los Angeles International Airport when they asked a uniformed US official for help. An immigration judge ordered that the men be deported to the UK to face justice, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Sheppard and Whittle fled the UK last July during a trial at Leeds Crown Court after being released on bail while the jury deliberated over further charges after convicting them on several counts.

Immigration is an emotional issue for Lincolnshire voters – it was workers from the county who staged the week-long strike outside the Lindsey oil refinery in protest against the use of foreign labour in February. The BNP won their first district council seat in a Boston by-election last year, and the far-right party fought for 23 seats across the county this week.

So far there have been 214 local councillors elected.
ReplyDeleteOut of the entire 214 the BNP have not won a single seat .This also included 37 seats in Essex which the BNP saw as a prime battle ground
