Kray twins admirer is big BNP donor

The notorious Kray twins (left) and the inglorious Crap twins (right)
A close friend of the murderous Kray twins is one of two major donors to the British National Party in the third quarter of 2009. Eileen Sheridan-Price, a former beauty queen, gave £5,105 to the BNP in September.

Sheridan-Price says the East End of London was “a much nicer, safer place” when the Kray twins were around. Reginald and Ronald Kray were notorious gangsters who ran organised crime in the East End during the 1950s and 1960s. They were involved in torture, armed robberies, arson, protection rackets and murder to enforce their will. They were both convicted in 1969 and sentenced to life imprisonment.

One can see the attraction of the BNP for an admirer of the Krays.

The other large donor in the period was Charles Hancock, who gave £8,700 in August. Neither name has previously appeared in the list of people giving more than £5,000 to the party. The BNP has still not submitted its 2008 accounts.

Hope not hate

More on the law-abiding cuddly Kray twins here.

  3. What a load of bollocks. I was a kid when the Krays were running things and ALL the locals were terrified of them and their hangers-on. All this bullshit about them being modern-day Robin Hoods is crap.

  4. Mark Collett in the infamous c4 documentary said the convicted terrorist Johnny "Mad Dog" Adair is his hero so the moral of the story is that any terrorist or criminal is fine to be celebrated in the BNP as long as they are white and is far better than any law abiding non white who lives/ fights for the country

Weren't Ronnie and Reggie of Romany-Gypsy heritage? They hardly conform to BNP racial dogma!

  8. I hardly think R + R would give a toss about the BNP, for starters Reggie was gay and the twins were always hanging around with british black boxers during the 60's in their clubs

  11. I wonder what the twins would have made of the bnps anti homosexuality stance?

I'd have paid good money to watch Griffin telling Ronnie Kray that he thought his homosexuality was a "disgusting perversion".

I'm not sure they were all that principled but I have a couple of anecdotes regarding this I heard from reliable sources. The twins grew up in Bethnal Green in the 1930's. At that time this area was a Blackshirt stronghold and the BUF did have a block of support within the local population. Because of their dark complexion (especially Ronnie) the twins were subjected to playground abuse and teasing from some classmates for being "Jewish" (they weren't). Fast forward to the early sixties when Oswald Mosley made an attempted comeback to the British political scene. He was interviewed on BBC TV and Ronnie watched the interview round his mum's house in Vallance Road. Upon seeing Mosley on the screen he remarked to one of his cohorts, "They should have hung that c*nt during the war".
