The BNP have told an Asian businessman that his application to join the party will be blocked, he said today
Mo Chaudry, 49, had wanted to join the far-right party to "fight them from the inside". The businessman, from Newcastle-Under-Lyme in Staffordshire, said he was seeking to take advantage of the enforced change to the party’s constitution to expose them.
BNP members voted to admit black and Asian people last month when the party was threatened with an injunction by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).
Pakistan-born Mr Chaudry, who is worth £60 million, runs a string of businesses around Stoke-on-Trent, which has eight BNP members on the city council. He is a star of the Channel 4 programme The Secret Millionaire, in which rich benefactors go undercover to find good ways of using their money.
He said today: "I debated with the BNP’s deputy leader Simon Darby on BBC Radio 5 Live and he told me that my application would be blocked. How can you be more discriminatory than that?"
He added: "People are not racist in Stoke-on-Trent and I have never experienced racism in my time here but the city council has eight BNP members. The good people that don’t vote need to get off their backside and change things."
The EHRC is considering the changes the BNP have made to their membership rules and will be back in court on March 9. EHRC has threatened legal action if the rules are still considered discriminatory.

Of course the BNP has blocked his application. How could he expect anything else? On the other hand, it does show that the BNP stifles any possible dissent in the ranks.
ReplyDeleteSUE :)
ReplyDelete"SUE :)"
ReplyDeleteHe's got the money though it would have been better if he'd kept his gob shut and just tried to join. He could fund someone else though.
Unfortunatley, he has grounds to be refused because he stated he wanted to join to cause trouble. I think this man just thrives on publicity!
ReplyDeleteHe should have kept his gob shut and just joined.
ReplyDeleteHe gave them a reason to block his membership
I appreciate that this was done for the publicity but I hardly think this is the big piece of evidence that we are all waiting for.
ReplyDeleteI detest the BNP as much as the next anti-fascist but if I announced my intention to join the Labour Party or the Conservative Party to wreck them from within I would expect them to tell me to do one.
This won't last five minutes in court. We need to find a non-white applicant who makes all the right noises, accepts he is genetically inferior to Mark Collett, hates himself, wants to be repatriated to a country he's never been to or gassed and then gets refused when he applies to join.
He may attract less publicity, but if we can kick the BNP's arse in court and cost Griffin millions of his members' hard-stolen money then does it really matter that much?
Post taken of theres nothing British
ReplyDeleteThere are so many pointless arguments.Whos British who is not??
The fact is a vast majority of Brits [no matter what colour] have no problem with controlled immigration. Its this flooding in of humanity which concerns people [no matter what colour]
This however has been a taboo subject for so long now that people feel the only person speaking about it is Heir Griffin, and I think they will ignore a lot of the nastier aspects of the party. That is the white people. We all know of second and third generation immigrants who have no one speaking for them. Certainly not the BNP.
Left to there own devices the BNP would be gathering in a pub somewhere in an inner city and the rest of us would be oblivious to them. The political establishment ‘however with there un willingness to discuss major issues have caused the right to rise. We then have the media telling us everyday how bad things are [no blame against them]. So white Brits are seeing everyday how bad things are, but hold on there political masters seem to be the only ones not discusssing it. I know i will vote for the next BNP candidate I can. That will show them.
You want to stop the BNP and save our country; start discussing the taboo subjects. Its a win win situation.
Just goes to show his money must have been made on luck as he certainly hasn't got a brain
ReplyDeleteHe definetly should have remained silent, and set an example for other ethnic minorities to follow, then broken The BNP down, any party would refuse a person who they believe would be a potential threat to the organisations existence.
ReplyDeleteIt was nothing more than publicity stunt, i hope other members of ethnic minorities do not choose this method and choose more tactful ideas.
