"Clammy, sweaty hands" - Shelley Rose accuses Dowson - claims "nightmare" at hands of BNP "spy hunters"

... however, we can not substantiate these claims, and republish this video only as a matter of interest and information for anti-fascists studying the current situation within the BNP.

  1. If even a part of that's true, then he really is a squalid, grubby little specimen.

Hope he remembers to pick up some flowers for the Wife later.

  2. @Andy

I expect the video to disappear very quickly.

Clearly, this is going to get very serious.

  3. Good thinking - I'm sure someone will have downloaded it for future reference (notice it's already disappeared from BDF).

  6. Well, I had to watch it twice, as any Mum with daughters of that age or a little younger will tell you they can spin a yarn for Britain.

But having watched and looked at her face I think on balance the majority of what she was saying is true.

The only part she showed any discomfort in telling was the morning visit in the hotel at the end with Golding and Dowson.

Still what do I know I am only a Mum

  7. Coincidence that Collett was apparently kicked out of the party yesterday and this appearing today?

  8. Dynamite video, along with other dynamite revelations.
Interesting that there was the stay in London, the meal, the Chicago show, the trip to Spain, the stay in Spain to "practice", the trip to Wales etc - are these jollies all paid for by the long-suffering BNP sheeple?

  9. Good production values - it's like one of those News of the World kiss and tell videos! I'm really enjoying watching the BNP self-destruct but I do feel a little bit sad that we didn't destroy it first.

  10. Funny that Colletts name should be raised... I was reading a YouTube thread the other day when he spouted this....

  11. No Surprise here. She is fairly attractive (physically not in terms of her awful politics) compared to most in the BNP where there is a dearth of young people, especially younger women. Fascist parties have always been male dominated. Middle aged men going through some kinda crisis would be drawn to her like bees to honey. Obviously, that doesn't excuse the alleged behavior here but I'm just saying it's not that surprising if it did happen. Those in 'LeftLand' in the 1980's will be familiar with the allegations made against the late, unlamented leader of the WRP Gerry Healy who many feel engaged in similar abuses. Ms. Rose's allegations certainly have the ring of truth about them and they are convincingly related, however, Dowson will respond with things like, "You flirted with me, led me on and why did you sleep in the same room as me?" . This won't go to Court as no chargeable offences seems to have been committed but if it were more serious then a Defence lawyer would tear her apart in the witness box (sad but true).

A few things: How naive of Ms. Rose to think that the BNP could jumpstart a musical career - I'd think the opposite to be true. She also describes Dowson as important in the Party - a strange description about somebody who isn't a party member and was only one for a very short time in the past. The MI5 allegations certainly illustrate well the paranoid nature at the top of the BNP. They all distrust each other and any comradely behavior is mostly tenuous and fake. Most extreme parties, left and right, are just one big split waiting to happen.

I think you're being slightly tough on us. Griffin admitted just after the election that "Labour played a Blinder" during the campaign in East London and Essex. That is disguised praise for the highly effective campaign of HnH and others in the run-up. The factors of the BNP's demise will include, at least in part, anti-fascists.

  13. My God, this is dynamite. Surely the press will get on to this?

The second part of the video is the convincer for me. There are enough BNP and ex-BNP who've been treated like that by the goon squad.

It's more like reading about the Mafia, people trapped in hotel rooms, heavies on the door, people bursting in, phones dismantled and scanned.

    For fuck's sake.

  14. I hope those bnp Crusaders stand by Shelley as the vitriol flows.

Time to be a man, Joey Smith.

On the positive side, she's bloody lucky the Walker bros. weren't involved.

  15. "My God, this is dynamite. Surely the press will get on to this?"

If it was Griffin instead of Dowson then yes but Dowson is unknown except to us and some of the BNP's more active members so I'd doubt if the NoW would run it.

"...WRP Gerry Healy who many feel engaged in similar abuses"

In Nick Cohen's book "What's Left" there is a full account of the sorry WRP saga. Rose's allegations against Dowson, including her subsequent interrogation about being MI5, are an almost carbon copy of the tale recounted in Cohen's book (including the stuff about "Clammy, sweaty hands"). I'm not stating this in order to negate Roses's account (I'm inclined to believe her) but it does illustrate how some "cultish" far left and far right groups can operate in a similar fashion.

  18. for anon @ 4.57, there is a saying, "to understand you have to walk a mile in her shoes"

Shelley Rose comes over as rather a naieve young woman, OK her chice of politics is bloody awful, but, this is probably her first dabble in politics, she is pretty and enthusiastic, and strangely respectful towards those she believes are senior officers in the party.

As has gone on in all political parties and many offices across the land, "they" Dowson tried it on. If she had been perhaps more wordly wise she have kicked him in the balls and out of the bed, but, with his position in the party he intimidated her.

Yes I agree would not stand up in a court, unfortunately many predatory males over the years have got away with the same arguement.

Hopefully some way down the line they will try it on with a young woman who will handle it and hurt him bad.

With respect, I think your cutting her a little too much slack. She is a dedicated far-right activist, of a number of years standing, who is knowingly contributing to a bitter leadership race. The doe-eyed, "Babes in the Wood" routinue should be taken with a large pinch of salt. I don't think youth is a defence here. I've met 19 year olds on the far-right with as much cunning as somebody twice their age.

  21. Just checked around the Nazi fora, and my God they've moved fast: The poor girl's already been outed as everything from a Searchlight Mole to an MI5 deep-cover plant.

    Predictably, Paul Morris (I imagine he'd actually swell with pride if Dowson were to do him the esteemed honour of trying it on with one of his offspring) has launched an attack. A "James Dowson" in the Comments attempts to laugh it off in the following semi-coherent babble;

"Thank goodness McKenzie never said similar things ! now that would be horrid. I hope everyone now sees what NG and the party has been having to deal with for months now. Con-man, fake vicar, terrorist, Mi5 agent, red plant, failed businessman, homosexual, swindler, catholic fanatic, loyalist fanatic! I am amazed these twits think i am so important to merit all these acolades. I even have my own stalker now, yes, he is called 'THE FERRET' You could not write this stuff. Wicked , evil people never prosper, its just a shame some nice people have been drawn in to all this. Remember, LONG RUNS THE FOX."

Can't help hoping he's right, though, and that "wicked, evil people" really DON'T ever prosper.

  22. The washed-up "webels" are no less hypocrites than Nick Griffin's friends.

On You Tube, BNP refusenick Jim Lewthwaite (NatDem) says that he doesn't support racism and nationalism, and yet, carries videos by David Duke which carry claims that black people are mentally inferior.

  24. I do take her side on this, but why on earth did she share a bed with that wierd looking, sweaty old man in the first place?

If Dowson had got his thing on, and she had got pregnant, what would Dowsons view be on this I wonder?

  26. More from "James Dowson" over on the Morris Two Minute Hate Board:

"If she fels assaulted , then I JAMES DOWSON OF ============== BELFAST CHALLENGE MISS SHELLEY ROSE TO GO TO THE POLICE IMMEDIATLY AND REPORT THE MATTER. I cannot afford (nor is she worth the 200 or 300k fees in clearing my name so let her drag ME into court and we will get to the truth. COLLETTS SCRIPT WILL BE MY MAIN DEFENCE . So come on Miss rose, lets get to the real bottom of this right away. This is my open letter and my challange. James Dowson."

It may be him - it's surely illiterate enough. Oh, and elsewhere on the Comments; "Isn't this the girl who's living with 2 lesbian UAF members or something like that?"

Gosh. I'll bet the Nazzers are already getting off on that little fantasy...

  27. In the late seventies/early eighties when I was in my late teens and early twenties I spent some time in N Ireland - I always found the Orange Lodge types pretty much universally rather creepy - 'Clammy, sweaty hands' sums them up very well! - people whose company I felt very uncomfortable with.

IIRC my thoughts at the time were thay they seemed rather grubby - 'nylon shirts and plastic soled shoes....' - I had come from a certain kind of upbringing ;-)

They were completely different to the ordinary people of both sides of the divide - and from what I could see to those more radical groups who wanted a united Ireland.

Their mind set seemed to be very similar to the NF and what the BNP higherarchy is today. Nasty exploitative and poisonous!
