Emma West, 34, appeared at Croydon Magistrates' Court charged with a racially aggravated public order offence.
She broke down in the dock as a video allegedly showing her racially abusing fellow passengers on a tram was played the courtroom. West pleaded not guilty to the charges and was supported by a number of her family.
Also present were a number of BNP and EDL members and supporters who have no connection to West. Among those present for the BNP were Cliff Le May and Dave Clarke from New Addington and BNP mayoral candidate Carlos Cortiglia.
Clarke is a well known BNP thug who once ran for council and was given a year's community service for assaulting two female pacifist campaigners. David Clarke, who got 518 votes when he stood in 2009 was sentenced on four counts of assaulting anti-racism campaigners.
Clarke, of Dunley Drive, New Addington, pushed and shoved Lorna Nelson-Homian, James Cox, Nigel Green and Silvia Beckett in two separate attacks outside East Croydon train station. During the 2010 general election Clarke was ejected from a JD Wetherspoon pub after a sex act was performed in full view of diners and drinkers.
Hope not Hate
She (quite rightly) gets her collar felt - the PM's friend Jeremy Clarkson gets clean awat for inciting murder
ReplyDeleteEmma West is obviously being well advised by these Neanderthals. She will be out on bail sometime in 2015 then...
ReplyDelete"Clarke was ejected from a JD Wetherspoon pub after a sex act was performed in full view of diners and drinkers"
ReplyDeleteWetherspoons beer is pretty lifeless (an understatement), however creating your own foamy head on the pint in "DIY fashion", is OTT even for fascist scumbags who like getting their tool out and tossing off into their pint of Stella!
LOL!
EDL members release virtual tribute balloon for jailed nazis (maybe also Emma West): -

On Saturday the 21st of January, the NWI and Snowy Shaw's BNP/NF/BPP mates are meeting at Wetherspoons, Piccadilly, Manchester at 21pm, the useless bastards.

Its a great antifacist site lancaster unify. Keep up the excellent work to stop these edl people from getting on top although tommy rob is a joke.
ReplyDeleteThe indadels is where its at although one of them the diddyman is working for special branch which is why he has changed the nwi admin.
Put pressure on diddyman so he loses admin rights.
Thanks
Another NWI grass is David Langhorn.
ReplyDeleteThey're just backing up one of their supporters.
ReplyDeleteTram Woman was an EDLer as well as a BNP supporter.
ReplyDeleteNow as with Breivik she says she's insane.
All racists are insane but cannot get off the hook for it.
I think David Clarke posts on British democracy forum as the guvner.

ReplyDeleteNormal behaviour in the BNP.
I feel there is an unhealthy demonisation of the woman involved.
ReplyDeleteI believe that she is being held in custody, over the christmas period 'for her own good'. (It is alleged that her address is common knowledge, hence the need for protective custody, or whatever it's called.)
None of this looks good, certainly not for the woman involved. And it certainly doesn't sound honest.
Leave her alone and don't use her as a 'political football'.

ReplyDeleteIt's called remand, happens to a lot of people who have been charged with crimes.
It also happens to be a large element of the justice system - the state shoulders the burden of isolating the criminal from the society that they have 'wronged' in part so the society does not seek revenge.
I heard a rumour that this storm that's ripping through Scotland is multicultural, and might possibly be halal too.
ReplyDeleteTherefore I strongly recommend Yaxley-Lennon and friends climb on top of Glasgow City Chambers to protest against it.
Thanks, Disgusted, I do have a grasp of the fact that these things happen. How they happened in this particular case is less than clear.
ReplyDeleteSuperficially it seems that the treatment of the woman is excessive.
Does the alleged crime generally risk (or even merit) time on remand? I don't think so.
If it is a matter of protection, then do so properly.
Some people want to link the tirade to EDL, BNP or whatever sympathies or even to membership. Put up or shut up.
I don't like what the woman did. I like even less the way she is being treated, or apparently treated.
Pinkie, I agree with you. I'm not going to bother with the politics side of it, we have all seen the video, but.
ReplyDeleteIf this woman has mental health issues which seem reasonably well documented she should have been sectioned not remanded. If the medical staff or approved social worker didn't think she was that sectionable then other provisions should have been made. Remanding her really isn't going to help her in any way.
I'd love to see the case notes.

ReplyDelete50% of people on remand receive no custodial sentence whilst 20% are found not guilty. It's not particularly ideal but it is symptomatic of the unending demand for an ever harsher system.

How so?

Not particularly relevant to our discussion, that she happens to be very popular with fascists doesn't implicitly make her one.
I don't like what the woman did. I like even less the way she is being treated, or apparently treated.
That's unfortunate.
It sometimes seems to me that there are some that are 'anti-racist sentiments' and there are some who are 'anti-racist'.
ReplyDeleteHence Disgusted can be indifferent to the woman's treatment. She expressed racist sentiments, and deserves her harsh social and legal treatment, it seems.
Just to repeat, but in another form, Disgusted, what has the woman done that deserves the treatment she appears to be receiving?
