EDL Plan Arson Attack on LSX Camp

The English Defence League are planning an attack on the protesters at Occupy London Stock Exchange this Sunday, outside St Paul's Cathedral. London Division's Greg Bingham put a call out to fellow London racists calling for them to turn up to LSX and 'move' them. Bingham then went on to make threats about burning the tents down on his Facebook wall.

They appear to want them moved because they are 'lefties' as they describes them. Another more sinister message appeared on Bingham's Facebook wall claiming he is going to comit an act of arson on the protester's camp and some threats to kill three people.

Mick Wittman aka Gil Gould, a regular attendee at demonstrations in the South East also plans to attend.

As making threats of arson on the internet is a prosecutable offence, EDL News have informed the Metropolitan Police of his intentions.

This morning [30th] at about 4am, the camp was attacked by 20-30 EDL supporters [pictured below], who had been demonstrating earlier in the day. I think people are still okay, no one was hospitalised… but protestors where held down and punched and kicked. Bricks where thrown and an occupier was stamped on. The police were called, it took them ten minutes to arrive, by which time the EDL thugs had vanished. The occupiers are understandably fragile today, and attempting to rebuild their camp.

Sikh Summer Camp of 125 kids in Chigwell attacked by racist idiots

Racist thug attacks a volunteer's car

There is a Sikhi Camp for kids from 7+ currently taking place at the Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College in Chigwell, Essex running up until Sunday. The Camp involves the overnight stay of 120 children. The incident took place yesterday afternoon.

At first around 5 Chavs, thought to be from a nearby estate, walked into Khalsa College and caused a significant level of commotion. They attacked one Singh who approached them asking what they wanted. They were then successfully forced out of the College premises by a group of Camp sewadars and a fight broke out on the road outside the College. The situation was diffused by a passerby (claiming to be a off duty policeman), who drove the chavs off in his 4×4.

Around an hour later the Chavs returned in a larger number of 20 tooled with baseball bats and blocks of wood. A small group of Sikh kids from the camp were out on a nature walk and were verbally abused but managed to get back into the college. One of the elder sewadars had his car damaged as the group jumped on his bumper and bonnet.

What mainly happened then was a stand off between the Chavs and the Sewadars around the perimeter of the Khalsa College. The Chavs mainly hurled racial abuse “Pakis, Muslims, razors and other EDL type chants” although they were tooled up to do more. Eventually the Police came and arrested 2 of the Chavs but the remaining were still adamant to carry on. The situation diffused as more Police intervened, however the Chavs still hovered around the area of the Khalsa College.

Around 50 local Singhs turned up last night to provide security to the Kids Camp, something that should have been organised by the sewadars before!!! It is an overnight camp where kids stay on the premises. It’s also concerning as we believe these Chavs must be hovering around the college during the day unchallenged.

There is a very strong chance the local Chavs from the estate will return (in perhaps larger numbers) and it was decided by local Singhs that a strong level of security is to be maintained at the college whilst the Sikhi Camp takes place until Sunday. The sewadars of the Camp should have factored in the security from the beginning even though no previous incidents had taken place in the Camp’s 30 year history.

Labour candidate assaulted by 'BNP thug'

A Labour candidate has been attacked by a British National Party supporter whilst campaigning in Bermondsey

Cormac Hollingsworth was leafleting an estate on Monday evening when he was
punched three times in the face and kicked. Meanwhile the attacker kept up a stream of insults and shouted pro-BNP slogans. Afterwards the victim's glasses were retrieved nine yards away.

The candidate, who is contesting the South Bermondsey ward in the Southwark Council elections, insisted on completing his leafletting as planned whilst police investigate the incident.

"The community is very much against this," said Cormac Hollingsworth who added that he was active in the area and knew it very well.

He was a Labour candidate in Riverside ward for the 2006 borough election and again in the 2007 by-election. He is fundraising coordinator for anti-fascist campaign group HOPE not hate.

South Bermondsey is the only one of Southwark's 21 wards where there is a BNP candidate in the local elections. The party is also contesting the Bermondsey & Old Southwark parliamentary constituency for the first time since 1997.

Violent English Defence League thugs attack lone Police Officer

The EDL constantly say immigrants should respect "our laws", and, guess what... they're right! Why is it then that the EDL refuse to respect our laws themselves?

This video shows a copper (in the yellow hi-vis tunic) being knocked over during a surge of EDL protestors in Stoke on Jan 23. That might have been a genuine accident, but how did these brave law-abiding patriots respond? They punched, kicked and stamped on someone when he was down. One protestor (in the brown jacket) defended the copper while other EDL supporters steamed in to continue the attack - an attack on someone who happens to be a member of the same police force we rely on to protect us from the terrorists the EDL set themselves up to "oppose".

If these idiots had been defending themselves against an unprovoked police attack that might have been fair, but in fact the EDL draw their core support from networks of football hooligans who define their lifestyles around a love of violent crime, so it's hardly surprising people who sing songs celebrating 1960s cop-killer Harry Roberts are totally hypocritical when they talk about respecting British law. No surprise then that EDL co-founder Paul Ray praises the terrorist and mass-murderer Johnny "Mad Dog" Adair and that EDL protestor "Wigan Mike" Heaton was arrested for inciting the murder of Jews in a major police anti-terror sting.

What did the EDL Stoke protest achieve? It tied-up 600 police officers for an entire shift, who could have spent those 4,000-odd man-hours being deployed against terrorism and fighting crime!

BNP fails to find support among European far-right parties

The British National Party’s first foray into Brussels ended in failure yesterday after it was unable find enough allies on the far-Right to form an official group in the European Parliament.

Nick Griffin, the party leader and one of its two newly elected MEPs, has agreed instead to work informally with a loose group of five ultra-nationalist parties, notably the Front National of the veteran French racist Jean-Marie le Pen.

Mr Griffin had pinned his hopes on persuading the nine MEPs of Italy’s Northern League to ally themselves with the smaller far-right parties, but was shunned by the party, led by Umberto Bossi and part of Silvio Berlusconi’s ruling coalition.

The failure to meet the threshold of 25 MEPs from at least seven countries to form a parliamentary group means the loss of up to a million euros a year for the far-right parties which could have been spent on staff, offices and publications in Brussels, Strasbourg and their home countries.

“It appears at present we are below the threshold,” said Mr Griffin, after talks at the European Parliament in Brussels with its key allies from France. He spent two days there with fellow Andrew Brons, his fellow party MEP. “We have to see how the other political groups get on with their negotiations and if they cannot do a deal whether they will deal with us.”

Mr Griffin said that he had had a friendly response from other MEPs and added: “Virtually everyone is here to do the best by their constituents and on that basis we will work with anybody.”

The ultra-nationalist parties interested in working together informally included Jobbik — the Movement for a Better Hungary — Vlaams Belang from Belgium (the Flemish Interest) and Attack from Bulgaria, he said. But despite the increased number of MEPs elected this month from the far-right end of the political spectrum, the BNP grouping could attract only 12.

Besides the Northern League’s nine MEPs, the putative group was also shunned by the anti-Islamic Dutch Freedom Party of Geert Wilders, which won four seats. Although banned from Britain for his outspoken views, Mr Wilders has also expressed his dislike of the Front National and Flemish Interest as he attempts to appeal to mainstream voters in Holland.

Similarly, the anti-immigrant Danish People’s Party, regarded as right-wing nationalist, will not sit with the BNP or Mr Le Pen, who repeated his denial of the Holocaust in the last parliamentary session. The DPP, which has two MEPs, regards itself as more centrist and has been a coalition partner in the Danish Government.

Nobody, however, seems prepared to touch the Greater Romania Party, whose MEPs were involved in the break-up of the far-right Identity, Tradition, Sovereignty group in the last Parliament. They broke up the group after only 11 months in a row with Alessandro Mussolini, the daughter of Il Duce, after she called all Romanians criminals.

The Northern League has been vetoed by David Cameron from joining the new anti-federalist group being formed by the Conservatives with Czech and Polish MEPs. The Italian party may now link with the UK Independence Party as it tries to find at least six allies to meet the threshold for a formal group.

Parties are expected to declare their groupings in time for the European Parliament’s inaugural sitting on July 14.

The reality of racism - gang escape jail over brutal attack

A gang of men who subjected two Polish workers to a “cowardly and vicious” attack before leaving them in a pool of blood have escaped immediate jail sentences.

Norwich Crown Court heard the gang of seven attacked Tadeusz Broniak and Marcin Rapacz after finding them sitting outside the Hog's Head pub in King's Lynn high street. The brutal attack was caught on security cameras and played before the judge who described it as a “ferocious and unprovoked attack on two vulnerable men”.

The victims were repeatedly punched, kicked and spat on and were fortunate to suffer nothing more than cuts and bruises. The footage showed the offenders walking away from the scene, leaving the victims lying on the floor covered in blood.

Speaking after the case, King's Lynn section inspector Colin Williamson said: “This sickening assault took place against a backdrop of drunken aggression. The CCTV footage is shocking.”

Jody Tooke, 25, of Saddlebow Road, King's Lynn; Ben Watson, 20, of Chadwick Square, Lynn; Ben Winchester, 21, of Wisbech Road, Lynn; John Plummley, 22, of Burnham Avenue, King's Lynn; Jack Nesbitt, 20, of Hinchingbrooke Close, South Wootton; Christopher Tibbs, 22, of Saddlebow Road, Lynn all pleaded guilty to violent disorder on November 4 last year.

Liam Wintin, 19, of St Edmundsbury Road, Lynn, was convicted of violent disorder following a trial. Alfie Tooke, 21, of Ouse Avenue, Lynn, who had denied inciting others to use or threaten violence, was cleared by a jury following a trial earlier this month.

The court heard the gang went to the Hog's Head after hearing that the two Polish men had been making it difficult for bar staff and refusing to leave. They were also said to have threatened Alfie Tooke so the gang went to the Hog's Head “to sort out the two Polish men”.

Mr Justice Cooke imposed a year's jail sentence on all the men suspended for two years and ordered them to do a total of 1,280 hours of unpaid work. He said they were all in employment and felt they were all capable of making their way in life as civilised members of society.

But he warned: “Your actions on that night stem from the amount of drink you consumed.”

He said they had acted as “unthinking teenagers” and said: “Stay off drink and think about what you drink.”

The men's counsel said they had all been disgusted by their behaviour. Some members of the gang had written letters of apology to the victims. Benedict Peers, for Tibbs, said: “When he first viewed that recording, he himself was shocked.”

Outside court Insp Williamson pledged that officers would do all they could to stamp out alcohol-fuelled violence. The men's names have been forwarded to the local Pubwatch group to be considered for a town-wide pub ban.

Insp Williamson said: “Alcohol-fuelled violence is not acceptable in this town or any other and a lot of work is being carried out by the police and partner agencies to weed out individuals like this whose lawless behaviour ruins everyone else's night out.”

A new Nightsafe scheme - based on successful operations in Norwich and Yarmouth - has since been launched.

Refugees fear racist attacks on the streets

A young refugee has claimed racist abuse was hurled at him as he was beaten up on Swansea's High Street.Al Haji Kamara alleges he was punched and kicked to the ground in the violent attack.

The incident took place in the middle of the afternoon when the street was filled with shoppers. But no-one came to help.

"I was walking down the street on my way to play football when a group of youths blocked my way and started punching me," said the 21-year-old. "They were shouting: 'What are you doing here? Go home. We don't want you'. They kicked me to the ground but I managed to get up and run away and call the police."

Mr Kamara came to Wales aged 17 after fleeing the brutal civil war in the African country of Liberia. "All my family were killed and I don't have anywhere else to go," he said.

Refugee groups have condemned what happened. They claim it is one of a growing number of incidents in Swansea.

"Al Haji is here perfectly legally. He has been granted exceptional leave to stay by the Home Office," said Tom Cheeseman, of Swansea Bay Asylum Seekers Support Group. "He has settled into the local community very well and is a member of our committee, as well as being the organiser of the Swansea World Stars football team."

Another refugee family say they are being forced to move home after suffering months of racist abuse and attacks. Adel and Latefa Guemar and their three children settled happily in Penlan when they were granted the right to stay in 2004 after fleeing Algeria. But in recent months they claim they have been targeted by young thugs who shout abuse and throw missiles at their home.

"There is another family living not 400 metres away from here who have had a lot of racist attacks. It has got so bad that the children dare not go out of the house on their own," said Mr Guemar.

Asylum support workers are now calling for more understanding and respect for people who may have suffered terrible trauma in their home countries.

"The Home Office is only sending those asylum seekers to Swansea who have a very good case. Anyone else is going straight into detention, so you can be sure that the people who come here have a very good reason for leaving their own countries," said Keith Ross, of the campaign group Asylum Justice. "I must stress that most people in Swansea have been very welcoming, but we are hearing about ongoing problems in Penlan, Mayhill and Pentrechwyth," he added.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the alleged attack on Mr Kamara.
