The English Defense League (EDL) that organized an anti-Islam demonstration on Saturday September 5, profusely denies being a fascist group. The motto that they proclaim is “peacefully protesting against militant Islam” and they advertise themselves as a universal body for anyone who opposes “those who wish us harm” and the group invites “people of all colors, faiths, all Citizens of England and the UK” to participate in their activities.
It almost sounds admirable. Who wouldn’t oppose harm-doers? Unfortunately, the issue it is not that simple.
A militant means someone who is combative, particularly in the name of a particular cause. I am the first person to oppose attacks such as those on September 11 in the US or July 7 in the UK. But we are being conned into believing that there is only one type of militancy. Why is it that there is no such term as Christian militancy? The acts of the US government in Iraq are militant. So why is it that we should oppose so-called “militant Islam” alone? Either we support militancy or we do not. If we condemn it then it should be condemned universally, regardless of who is committing the action.
If a nation carries out militant acts then it can only expect that it will face a militant resistance. For fear of being misunderstood, this is not an excuse for terrorism; it is simply logical that if violence is used by one party, the other side will react similarly. In the war-hungry world that we have created, violence is seen as a quick solution to everything, but is actually a lazy attempt, which more often than not achieves little. Violence begets violence. If the English Defense League wants to eradicate militancy then we ought to condemn it universally. This is the first mistake the EDL makes. It targets one group of militants as opposed to militancy in general.
Another problem with the EDL is that it advertises itself as universal, almost as if it wants to seduce Muslims into joining them because the EDL considers that “Islamic Fundamentalists” and fascists “use the banner of Islam to hide behind thus deforming and defacing the religion.” Hold up. According to eyewitnesses, this is the very same group that was chanting anti-Mohamed slogans at their protest. Hardly pays tribute to the true nature of Islam that they are ever so concerned with preserving. Indeed this attempt at connecting to the Muslim community is frankly offensive. Their feeble attempt at appearing decent seems as if it is straight out of Islam for Dummies. Excuse the language class for a minute and think about it: the very term fundamental means “relating to the foundation.” The EDL states that they want to “remove Islamic fundamentalists from our streets.” By classifying Islamic fundamentalism as evil is to imply that Islam is inherently evil. So either they completely oppose Islam and are therefore fascists or they have no understanding of the subject of their discontent.
In addition to this, maybe it is just the cynic speaking, but it is hard to believe that the EDL are actually not fascist. No, it is not because their spelling is painfully dire, although it doesn’t help. It’s because, during their recent protest against militant Islam in Birmingham, England, eyewitnesses saw the members of the EDL “charging down Bennett Hill (an area of Birmingham) throwing beer bottles at young Asian lads.” One can only assume that there must have been a telepathist amongst the EDL supporters, for as a “non-racist organization,” naturally, they would never have dared to assume that simply because the youths were Asian that they were therefore Muslims.
Whichever way you look at it, the EDL are racist. They attacked the group of Asians under the assumption they were Muslims. That is psychological and violent racism. Militant racism, one might say. If that is not convincing enough, then why would “non-racists” do a sieg heil Hitler-salute?
The EDL proclaims to be “non-racist” and “non-fascist” because that is what keeps it alive. Preaching white supremacy will hardly gain them any moderate support. That appears to be what they are attempting to do; appealing to the masses in order to get a psychosomatic stronghold on the British mind. Thank goodness that Britain is a land of cynics and that fascists like the EDL are a very small, albeit ever-increasing, minority.
Solving the problem of the EDL is easy: Get together as many Muslims, anti-fascists, Jews, immigrants and any other characters that the EDL would find unsavory and convince them all to join the English Defense League. Hijack their protests and their meetings until we drive the 100 or so of their hardcore members to the ground. If we join them, they will either be forced to beat us up, thus revealing their true colors – no pun intended – or the group will disappear into oblivion.

Refuting the twisted racist hate of BNP member Vivienne Parker

All of Africa stinks,esp.sub-saharan African which oozes with wickedness and evil behaviour. Alas, for purveyors of civility this is not an isolated, random outburst by Downham Market-resident Vivienne Parker. Not content with drubbing Black people with her caustic BNP tongue, Vivienne Parker attacks Ghurkha soldiers, who have so bravely served our country, in her following posting on The Times website:
“I do not agree with allowing Gurkhas to settle in the UK. They get a contract of service so why should we then be saddled with them and their grannies. Another huge financial drop on the UK taxpayer. If this becomes the normal I think its time to end Gurkha recruitment to the British army for good. Viv Parker, Norfolk, UK”
Given that only a few hundred Gurkhas will eventually settle in the UK and given that they defended our country, why is Vivienne Parker getting bent out of shape by the prospect of a small number of Gurkha soldiers taking up British citizenship? Because the Gurkhas are non-White, naturally Vivienne Parker and the BNP hate them for this random accident of birth.

Unlike Vivienne Parker, the UK Statistics Authority breakdown the category ‘Asian’ and accordingly provide empirically-grounded figures for each of the main three Asian sub-categories as follows:
Indian women (comprised of Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and Christians): average 2.4 children
Pakistani women: average 3.4 children
Bangladeshi women: average 3.6 children

The number of British Muslims in polygamous marriages does not even reach one-tenth of one percent of all Muslims in the UK! Pejoratively referring to Muslims as ‘Islamics’, Vivienne Parker again does not provide any evidence for her unfounded lies. In fact, based on Department for Work and Pensions figures for the number of polygamous marriages in the UK (not all them Muslim), only 0.06% of Muslims are estimated to be in polygamous relationships! The actual figure could be even lower. Vivienne Parker Lie No.3 refuted.

Vivienne Parker doesn’t know what ‘child support’ is! No one in the UK can claim child support from the government! Child support is a private arrangement between two private citizens using their own private funds! Child support payments arise when a child’s parents separate, live apart and the child lives with one of their parents. One parent pays money to the other parent with whom the child lives. Once again Vivienne Parker exposes her own ignorance (coupled with a great deal of arrogance to make any of her claims in the first place). Vivienne Parker is trying to imply, based on her lie that the average British Pakistani family has seven children (refuted above), that Pakistanis are a drain on public resources by claiming ‘child support’ for their mythically large families. Vivienne Parker Lie No.4 refuted.

In addition to her online rants, perhaps Vivienne Parker should stop writing letters to her local newspaper to tell us how much better Spain is then Britain and how unbelievably cheap property in Spain. One would hazard a guess that the Spanish don’t exactly go out of their way to invite BNP parochialites such as Vivienne Parker to their Moorish-tinged Iberian shores. Further, if Vivienne Parker doesn’t like immigrants in Britain, then she’s definitely not going to the fact that immigrants make up a greater proportion of the Spanish population than here in the UK.
Can Vivienne Parker self-hypnotise herself out of her own BNP stupidity?
Vivienne Parker claims to be a ‘transpersonal hypnotherapist’ providing past-life regression services to those persons she describes as having “deep rooted problems and issues”. This raises the serious prospect that she has access to vulnerable persons who could be exploited by Vivienne Parker’s racist agenda. Interestingly, Vivienne Parker describes past-life regression as a therapeutic tool that “is very effective for all sorts of phobias and behaviour fixations”. We suggest that Vivienne Parker appropriate her self-accredited therapeutic skills and self-hypnotise herself out of her own self-induced phobias and behaviour fixations – her overwhelming and neurotic racist obsession with non-Whites. Vivienne Parker may also find the following organisation for hypnotherapists particularly useful: the London-based Prevention of Professional Abuse Network. It is referred to in a hypnotherapist article, Professional Abuse. The article lists six areas where therapists can abuse clients in violation of their professional ethics. One of those areas is racism. The article explains that:
“Racial abuse can be both direct and indirect, and can also be surprisingly discrete. A number of years ago a relationship between a supervisor and the therapist under supervision deteriorated when the supervisor learned that their supervisee was involved in a long term and stable inter-racial relationship. Aside from Jolene Brinklow’s appalling spelling and grammar, one is rather curious with her blog description of her family arrangement when she emphatically tells us that she is “settled with two boys (rats, not kids!)”. I’d hate to think that she and her BNP partner Gary Osborne, both hailing from Banbury, have been breeding like rats. But, given the unforgivably racist nature of Jolene Brinklow’s retarded blog entry, it seems that like every self-respecting rat, she dwells in the sewer.

Red Card for BNP as party fails to make gains
Fears that Heckmondwike could become the first all-BNP ward in Yorkshire were quashed at last week's elections. The far-right party failed to make any gains at the Kirklees elections – despite standing 23 candidates.
Had BNP candidate Steve Cass been elected in Heckmondwike he would have served with BNP councillors David Exley and Roger Roberts – a situation the party’s leader Nick Griffin anticipated.

If we can get a few more seats then we can start to make a difference in council chambers as well as in the wards. I think you’ll see a difference in the council landscape after the elections.”
But despite a strong campaign the party lost out to David Sheard, who has been a Labour councillor for more than 20 years. Coun Sheard said it would have been bad news for Heckmondwike had the BNP taken his seat. He added: “I thought I would beat the BNP, but I knew it would be close and I didn’t think it would be by so much. Now I can get cracking and carry on with the work I’ve started.”
But Kirklees BNP leader Coun Exley said he was surprised by the result.
“I thought we’d done enough, but David Sheard is a very strong candidate and he hasn’t been a councillor for 23 years for nothing. We’ve had a wake-up call, but we’ll carry on with the work we’ve been doing in our wards.”
Coun Exley acknowledged Heckmondwike’s large Asian community could have stopped the party winning the seat, but said any worries about the BNP were unfounded.
“Asian people have nothing to fear from the BNP. I’ve been in for three-and-a-half years now and Roger Roberts for one. People from the Asian community come to me for help and I help them as I would anyone else. If there was any reason for them to fear us, then that would have been an issue by now.”
In Cleckheaton Liberal Democrat Andrew Pinnock was pleased to keep his seat of 12 years.
Lib Dem leader Coun Kath Pinnock (Cleck) said the 2006 result was the closest in Cleckheaton for many years and this time the party was keen that “people in Cleckheaton would show the BNP the red card”. She added: “People in Cleckheaton have seen through the BNP’s promises. We want to put into effect what we’ve said will be done now.”
The Lib Dems hope to make safe and develop the derelict Westgate site, improve the empty Co-op in Scholes and get a route confirmed for the Hopper service bus which has been granted funding.
Coun Derrick Yates (Con, Liversedge and Gomersal) said of his re-election: “It’s a great result for the Spen Valley, not just in Liversedge but especially in Heckmondwike and Cleckheaton where the councillors have increased their vote majority. We’ve sent a clear message that north Kirklees do not want the views of the BNP. It’s a fantastic result. I will build on my work of the last three years, I’ve made a good start and am very happy to be able to continue to work for the people of Liversedge and Gomersal.”
Although Tory leader Coun Robert Light (Birstall and Birkenshaw) was also re-elected, his position as council leader could be in doubt as Labour now has 22 seats to the Tories’ 20. Coun Light said: “I’m delighted to keep the seat. It’s a great honour to represent and help my home villages and to be part of Kirklees Council.”
He added that an administration change for the council would be a disaster as the Tories only took over from the Lib Dems last June. “I think everyone agrees that three administrations in three years is not in the interest of the council.”
Coun Light said the Tories would be looking for support from other parties but ruled out any form of shared administration with the minor parties.

White supremacists blame immigration and Asians for Virginia Tech tragedy
In the wake of the tragic shooting rampage at Virginia Tech, extremists and white supremacists and conspiracy-oriented Internet forums and Web sites have focused on the ethnicity of the killer in an attempt to blame Asians, immigrants and other minorities for the deaths and to spread a message of hate, according to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).
"Extremists are using the Virginia Tech shootings to spread a message of hate against immigrants, particularly Asians," said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director. "They are using the shooter's Asian ethnicity as an excuse to pile on hate against Asians, Blacks, Jews and immigrants. It is yet another example of how the neo-Nazis and haters are seeking to create an atmosphere of divisiveness around the immigration debate and to engender fear of minority groups living in America."
Some white supremacists groups have posted virulently anti-immigrant, racist and anti-Semitic videos on YouTube, the popular mainstream video sharing site, with deceptive titles such as "Virginia Tech Shooting Update" that make them appear as if they were legitimate news clips dealing with the aftermath of the shooting.
Some examples of the types of chatter taking place on extremist sites follow.
• Anti-Asian Rhetoric: Some of the terms used to describe Asians include: "cold, calculating and cruel" and "worthless dirtbags" who "have infected and overpopulated too many parts in America…" One poster on a white supremacist Internet forum wrote that Asians should "Stay in China!" Others refer to Asians with racially derogatory names such as "chop chop," "po chop," and "gook."
• Anti-Diversity Rhetoric: "This is one example of a tragedy that simply would not have happened in a WN [White Nationalist] country. That Asian man wouldn't have been here in the first place," reads a post on a white supremacist site. A post on another virulently anti-Semitic site read: "Guns don't kill people. Niggers, spics and gooks kill people."
• Anti-Semitic Rhetoric: Extremists are discussing the shootings in the context of a variety of anti-Semitic stereotypes, including Jewish control of the media and of the U.S. government, and a Jewish "conspiracy" to repeal the Second Amendment.
• Holocaust Denial Rhetoric: Several posts have engaged in Holocaust denial in referring to the slaying of Liviu Librescu, the Jewish professor and Holocaust survivor who was reportedly killed while attempting to protect his students, claiming that the Holocaust was a "hoax."
• Videos: In an attempt to spread their message of white supremacy and anti-Semitism, neo-Nazis associated with the Vanguard News Network have created over a dozen videos with titles including "Virginia Tech Shooting Update," and posting them on YouTube in an apparent attempt to deceive viewers into thinking they are getting legitimate news stories, when in fact the videos contain virulently racist, anti-Semitic and anti-immigrant messages.
• Protests at Funerals: The virulently anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church has plans to protest at the funerals of the victims, claiming the shooting was God's vengeance for homosexuality in America.
