The LMHR national university tour, supported by Amicus and UAF, has got off to a flying start.
Around 2,000 people have already attended events at Essex, East London, Swansea and Nottingham Uni’s. Each event - using speakers, debates and leaflets - has succeeded in creating or growing anti-fascist organisation both on campus and in the local areas, with UAF and LMHR societies being set up or strengthened - standing anti-BNP campaigns in good stead for the local council and Welsh Assembly elections on May 3rd.
Amicus have also been keenly promoting trade union values of unity and solidarity and the benefits of membership to students coming to the events.
A big thanks to all the musicians and student unions who’ve contributed so far. Watch the Gigs & Events pages for info on future dates.
