Sharon Ebanks' NNP launches attack on BNP's Great White Records

In an obviously organised plan to destabilise support for the British National Party among hardcore nazis, the leadership of the New Nationalist Party (NNP), Sharon Ebanks' little political clique, has launched an attack on the honesty and capability of Great White Records (GWR).

GWR is, you might recall, the record company started up and financed by the BNP (or rather, its members), partly to further the singing career of Nick Griffin in case he ever loses his day job as leader of the party, and partly as yet another desperate attempt to raise some cash - rather along the lines of the double-glazing and life insurance scams.

The idea was that Griffin and a bunch of other fascist squawkers would make loads of bloody awful songs (a lot of which are also penned by Griffin, the polymath) and sell them to the suckers for vast profits, thus providing more funds for the party to peddle its lies and racism. One assumes Griffin got this idea from the days when he organised sales of music via the Blood and Honour gigs - all racist, nazi and violent crap but also extremely lucrative - and we all know how attracted Griffin is to money.

Sharon Ebanks is everything that any anti-fascist would rightly despise - appallingly racist, homophobic and so on - but she is good at being devious. When she first formed the NNP, following her ignominous ejection from the BNP amid the row about the Kingstanding election and its aftermath, she immediately gathered her allies around her and went on the attack - using the Stormfront nazi forum.

Stormfront, though supposedly proscribed to BNP members, seems to be immensely popular with the party hierarchy as most of them (if not all) post on it regularly.

Within a few short weeks, Ebanks and her cronies had exploded in all directions, with accusations of all kinds against the BNP leadership team whizzing about everywhere, including claims of electoral fraud (true), paedophilia against named individuals (strongly worded but this seems to be the accusation that Mark Collett and Dave Hannam tried to chat up what turned out to be a fifteen year old girl at some BNP function - no idea of the truth of this), financial irregularities against named individuals (true), claims of alcohol abuse by named individuals (probably true but not particularly important) and incompetence (true). There are loads more accusations - involving illegal weapons and threats of violence, for example - but we're staying well clear of those until there's more evidence.

Amid all this accusatory activity, Ebanks and her coterie had also found time to get together and form a new and formally registered political party, the New Nationalist Party (NNP), composed mainly of disgruntled ex-BNP members (Ebanks herself, Dave Cheetham, Keith Axon etc), Holocaust-deniers and anti-semites. While the NNP seems to be Ebanks personal revenge against the BNP for its mistreatment of her, it's clear from the pro-BNP postings on Stormfront that the party is nervous of the damage Ebanks, her unaccountable popularity and her party can cause to its claim to be the ONLY group to represent the far-right in the UK.

Having made the accusations listed above, largely aimed at the BNP directly and some members of the leadership team specifically, the Ebanks gang have shifted their targets slightly and are attacking the periphery. The life insurance, double-glazing and skip-hire pseudo-businesses have already died along with the secondhand car business and the mysterious fund-raising double-decker bus but Great White Records is (apparently) still living and still raking in money. And that's where the problems arise because, while the money is coming in, the goods are (allegedly) not going out.

An apparently innocent post by NNP supporter 'Seaforth' got the ball rolling, when he asked if GWR was linked in any way to the BNP. The response was conveniently provided by Ontology (Ebanks) and reads thus:

'The directors of GWR are Nick Cass [BNP Yorkshire Regional Organiser] and Dave Hannam [In 2000, Hannam was jailed for three months for distributing a racist and anti-Semitic leaflet], although John Walker's [BNP Treasurer] name used to be tied to it on their site. They are late filing their accounts and many many BNP members have not recieved their goods. If I were them I'd start making serious complaints. GWR cost the membership £50,000 to set up, and when you consider it's a Private Limited Company it's a bad show indeed, as the company should belong to the BNP members with ALL accounts filed on time and available to them. It shouldn't be registered to private individuals, that's theft.'

Clearly, Ebanks has got what she wanted here, which was to instill the idea that something odd was going on with GWR. Fair enough, we've no problem with that - and there are a number of important questions to be asked. If the business was started with £50,000 of member's money - how was that money obtained? Was it via donations or was money siphoned off from the BNP accounts to start up a private company? The former seems highly unlikely but if the latter, who gets the profits that GWR make, if any? Also, if the latter, where is that transfer of funds on the BNP's Statement of Accounts for the past couple of years?

One of those questions is answered on GWR's own web page: 'The chief benefactors/recipients of money raised by GWR will be the British National Party (BNP) to help them further their political and cultural (?) objectives.' Which leads to a further question - how much has been made and transferred to the BNP thus far? The answer to that one is probably 'not much'. Despite having existed since December 2005, GWR only seems to have mustered up a single CD. Look out Virgin Records, the competition is, er, on its way. Slowly.

In fact, it's hard to see why a company like GWR cost £50,000 to set up at all, if in fact it did. Lancaster has the highly successful Musician's Co-op, where bands can go to practice and record at the cheapest possible rates and which has produced some highly accomplished music and successful singers and groups. Most towns have a similar (though not necessarily as good) facility and most bands will use something like the Co-op when they start up, and frequently when they cut their first couple of CDs. The cost is negligible. Similarly, with the average computer and the availability of high-quality free audio software, mixing tracks and copying CDs costs virtually nothing (100 CDs will set you back around a fiver if you buy them bulk). Setting up a website costs nothing if you know someone with talent and a few evenings to spare, and registering a website through someone like GoDaddy is around a fiver for a year. The point of all this is simple - why did setting up GWR cost £50,000 at all? Give me a few hundred quid and a bit of spare time and I could have a professional site set up and running with a dozen CDs available within a month at the outside. And I wouldn't give any money to the BNP!

The pro-BNP faction on Stormfront immediately leapt to the defence of GWR with the usual attempt at spreading disinformation. A claim was made that Paypal had closed GWR's account temporarily following a complaint that the site was being used to spread racial hatred. As we know only too well, it's almost impossible to get Paypal to respond to this type of complaint - the BNP clearly does spread racial hatred on its site and it still has access to Paypal despite numerous detailed complaints. In any case, Paypal never temporarily suspends accounts - you either have one or you don't. Besides, as was pointed out by Dux90, another anti-BNP poster to Stormfront, nobody who had paid by cheque had received their orders either.

Patently, all is not well at GWR. If Ebanks' allegations are true and the company is taking money for goods and not sending those goods in return, it's getting close to fraud, which carries a high penalty in this country. If £50,000 was transferred from BNP accounts to start up the company, and that transfer is not referred to in this year's accounts, that too appears to be fraud or something very similar.

Are the directors of the company paid? If so, how much? According to Ebanks, the GWR accounts are late in being submitted. Is that so the BNP can tie in its lies with those of GWR? Or is it simply that the BNP are hoping the membership fees are going to cover the loss caused by the financing of the GWR disaster and are holding the accounts back to avoid chaos if the facts are discovered too soon? Is GWR about to go down the same black hole that the BNP's Albion life insurance business went down?

All interesting questions - and all due to be answered when the BNP's own accounts are submitted in a couple of months time. We look forward to it with gleeful anticipation.
