A steam train has arrived in London carrying a group of people who escaped the Holocaust thanks to a British former stockbroker. The journey was commemorating the transport from Prague of more than 600 children, most of them Jewish, who fled the outbreak of war in 1939.
A vintage train carrying 170 of them was greeted at Liverpool Street by Sir Nicholas Winton, (pictured, above) the man who organised the trains.
