A child is missing, a child is found...

...but the Nutzis are still vile!

When news of Shannon Matthews' discovery was released it was quickly posted on the thoroughly unpleasant far-right Stormfront website. There followed a series of postings along the lines of "So pleased to hear this"; "Great news" and so on.

There were even some notes of thanks to the police - normally not exactly popular on SF ! One poster raised the number of registered sex offenders in the Dewsbury area, prompting a response along the line - "lots of Pakis, lots of Muslims. Know what I mean?" How inconvenient that the arrested man was "indigenous" !

Then a poster identified as "Zippy 14-88" appeared with some examples of "far right humour".

1. "Shannon has now won the Dewsbury under-tens hide and seek championship"
2. "She now has the "opertunity" (sic) to go for the European hide and seek championship, currently held by Madeleine McCann"
3. "Her first words to the police were -
"Have Newcastle won under Keegan yet?"
"F*** off, you've only been missing a month""

Now, I've heard plenty of sick humour in my years on this earth, but I feel obligated to make a few observations.

A. What a prat Zippy is
B. What does this tell us about the far right's adherents?
C. What are we to make of his moniker - 14-88 ? Convert the numbers into letters and we get AD-HH. AD for Adolf? HH for Heil Hitler? I wonder.
D. And what are we to make of the fact that not one SF poster has seen fit to criticise Zippy? A friend of mine was thrown off SF for saying unkind things about Barnbrook - but sick jokes about abducted children, that's fine.

This numeral represents the phrase "14 words," the number of words in an expression that has become the battle cry and rallying slogan for the white supremacist movement: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children." This expression was coined by white supremacist David Lane while in prison serving essentially a life sentence for his role in The Order, a 1980s white supremacist terrorist group that conducted armed robberies, bombings, and assassinations. Lane died in prison in 2007.
