This last few days must have been terribly disappointing for the BNP.
Not that we care, but we'd imagine Nick Griffin would have liked something to cheer up the troops after the ructions of the past couple of months and after the resignations of Alans Warner and Bailey from their positions of, respectively, town and real councillor.
Happily, the situation has gone from bad to worse. Despite putting everything into a major fight to win a mere parish seat (so desperate are they for a win of any kind) for dismal Donna Bailey at Upper Beeding, the far-right party was pipped at the post by twenty votes.
Joyce Shaw (Ind): 297
Donna Bailey (BNP): 277
Becky Davoubi (Ind): 196
Bailey, variously described by the creepier than usual BNP as the British National Party Blond Bombshell and brave (why brave?), received an astonishing amount of support for her campaign and cost the local council tax payer a few thousand quid just to prove the party could lose even where it had its own version of Julie Andrews standing for it. Even when the Dail Mail had assisted by printing a two-page puff-piece about her.
James Clayton (see pic), though no blond bombshell, deserved more support from his wretched party than he actually got. No mass leaflettings for him, no double-page spreads in the Mail and no commiserating posts on the BNP website either.
Despite standing for a real council seat (on Wyre Borough Council) and probably being its youngest candidate, the BNP chose to ignore young Master Clayton, which might explain why he bombed at the polls.
Con 769
Lab 339
BNP 222
UKIP 151
So nice to see the BNP failing its young up and comers.
But these results pale almost into insignificance at the latest news - that the High Court has awarded the disputed (see here and here) Burnley seat of Rosegrove and Lowerhouse to the Labour candidate, Paul Reynolds, leaving the BNP's John Rowe with egg on his face and a bill estimated at around £30,000.
Given the BNP's treatment of Sharon Ebanks (and she was only stuck for £5000 after following the party's advice and taking her disputed vote to the High Court), we'd advise Rowe to grab the money NOW before the party changes its mercurial mind and tells him to get lost, or to save time and declare himself bankrupt now.
If the BNP really intends to cover the costs of this wasted case, we wonder how the funds will be found - a raid on Nick Griffin's legendarily deep pockets, a dig into the hidden donations from Civil Liberty or the Trafalgar Club or yet another begging letter to the members. Or maybe it'll just come out of the membership fees paid for this year - a juicy thousand of them.

BNP's "Blonde Bombshell" misfires
Elevating an obscure and unimportant parish council by-election into a matter of national importance, the BNP somehow got itself to believe that the election of Donna Bailey to Upper Beeding Parish Council was a forgone conclusion.
Carried away with the idea that a pretty face and a much discussed article in the Daily Mail (which BNP members linked to on almost every forum they infest) would secure Donna's victory, they seemed to forget that the BNP was also contesting a real election for a real council with real power on the same night in Lancashire.
Having demanded co-option on to Upper Beeding Parish Council (Sussex), Donna Bailey and her vociferous band of supporters forced the council into the needless expense of a by-election when she was refused.
Bailey stood as an "independent", as did the two other candidates opposing her, but it was very clear from the beginning that the BNP regarded her as anything but "independent" - and it seems that the voters of Upper Beeding were of the same mind.
Proving beyond any doubt that Upper Beeding Parish Council were right not to cave in to her demands for co-option, Bailey came second, rejected by nearly two-thirds of local voters:
Joyce Shaw (Ind): 297
Donna Bailey ("Ind"): 277
Becky Davoubi (Ind): 196
A twenty vote shortfall, but, given the hype and the media coverage Donna Bailey and this by-election have received, a real embarrassment for the BNP and its golden goddess, who expected to win this contest by a wide margin.
We await the stock BNP excuses that Donna wuz nobbled.
Back in the real world of real politics that matter, BNP candidate James Clayton took part in a four-cornered contest in Victoria ward (Cleveleys) for a seat on Wyre Borough Council. Last May Victoria ward returned as follows:
UKIP 353
Lab 474
Lab 472
Con 1351 Elected
Con 1150 Elected
Con 1165 Elected
In May 2007 Clayton fought Cleveleys Park ward, coming seventh of eight candidates, with 19.6% (after vote averaging). Last night in staunchly Conservative Park ward, Clayton managed a so-so 14.99%:
Con 769 (51.92)
Lab 339 (22.89)
UKIP 151 (10.20)
BNP 222 (14.99)
Total 1481
The BNP did nibble into the UKIP vote, but UKIP's surviving 10.2% gives lie to the BNP fantasy that UKIP voters are always interchangeable with its own. Disappointed BNP supporters not getting the message that to be anti-Europe is not to be pro-fascist were this morning sourly condemning the UKIP as "ludicrous" and "pointless".
Just like that costly by-election one of their supporters forced on Upper Beeding Parish Council.

Whether or not the BNP will win a seat on the London Assembly, probably Barnbrook, one thing's for sure, the yellow-bellied rebels have fallen for the bait suppied by turncoat Chris Hill, who, although he claims to be a reb, at every juncture has insisted that the victims of Nick Griffin's purges must turn around and lick Nick Griffin's ass.
As anybody knows who have come into contact with this racist loser, Hill is a spineless freak who doesn't have the guts to burn his boats, just in-case the rebellion hits the buffers. If anybody within the rebel camp crawls on their hands and knees, begging to be allowed back into the party, Mr Hill will be this pussy.
On the rebel Enough is Enough blog, he signs off, telling the party unfaithful that they must work with Nick Griffin to help him win seats in London, which should surely seem strange, and cast doubts into the mind of the hardcore "refuse-Nicks".
If anyone within "Voice Of Change" assumes that Nick Griffin is pulling the strings within the rebel camp, surely Chris Hill is your double-agent. A fencesitter until the last minute, how much has Nick Griffin paid him to ensure the rebellion flops?
Possibly tuppence, knowing how much Griffin is a tightarse, but surely Sadie should think twice before entrusting the reigns of the Voice Of Change website into the hands of someone who most definately shouldn't be trusted in the slightest.
Ketlan will be the first to admit that Chris Hill is an opportunist, a mercenary just like Nick Griffin, who would do or say anything just to further his own standing within the white nationalist community.
As someone recently commentated, "the turkeys are voting for Christmas". Only, those brainless rebs haven't just voted to be well and truly stuffed by the One Eyed Monster. They're keen to swim around in the bird-flu infested faeces that is the BNP's griffinite loyalist campaign unit, in the forlorm hope that being nice to griffin will earn long term rewards.
Surely Chris Hill doesn't believe this himself. Like Griffin, he's an educated man, (who dumb as he is), knows what might and definately won't happen.
There's more chance of the Pope turnig protestant than Nick Griffin being victorious in the London elections, only to eat humble pie, and make peace with the rebels.
It doesn't take much of a brain to know that if Barnbrook does well, or the BNP wins a seat or two in the GLA (plus the associated windfall), he can wave goodbye to the likes of Sadie Graham for an eternity.
As the army officers murdered by Hitler during the Night Of The Long Knives will testify, when a fascist dictator gets too big for his boots, all friendship and loyalty goes out of the window. Anyone from the rebel camp handing out leaflets in London for the Barnbrook campaign, will be commiting political suicide.
Plenty of the hardcore tyndallite rebels have voiced such concerns time and time again, and yet, every time this concerns have been raised on the Enough Is Enough blog, Mister Hill has shouted them down, insisting that the BNP dissidents must support the BNP in london.
It thus looks like the rebellion will very soon run its course, as the build-up for the London election approaches, if lily-livered double-agent Hill does his damnedest to ruin the political chances of his (supposed) new friends, by turning them into Griffin's GLA lackeys.
I wouldn't go near a nazi with a bargepole, but, if I shared their poisoned beliefs, I'd sure think twice about capitulating to Nick Griffin and Simon Darby on the dodgy advice of Chris Hill.
So, what is a Nazi cross burning ceremony? You didn't answer.
With what seemed to be the entire nazi BNP machinery behind her + all the free media publicity she received, wannable fascist Julie Andrews still couldn't overwhelm two local independent candidates. Congrats to Joyce Shaw.
These are the four nazi BNP’s supporters (most probably BNP members) who will foot the BNP’s and John Rowe’s £30,000 legal bill:
“The election petition, challenging the declared result of the poll, was taken to court by four voters - Michelle Pilling, Scott Atkinson, Susan McDevitt and Ian Smith - who the court today ordered to pay £30,000 in legal costs bills, despite being told they are of "scant means"”

‘Scant means’! Classic!!! Didn’t the nazi BNP trolls think of the potential legal costs if they lost??? Seems like their unemployment benefit and top tax credits can’t cover the £30,000 legal bill!
Anyway, here’s the rest of the Burnley Express article:
Judges rule in favour of Labour in disputed vote
A HIGH Court battle over a single ballot paper cast in a "tied" Burnley local election was today finally resolved in favour of the victorious Labour candidate by top judges.
But success for Labour's Paul Reynolds marked bitter defeat for his British National Party rival, John Rowe, four of whose supporters are now facing £30,000 in legal costs bills.
The election, on May 3rd last year, for the Rosegrove and Lowerhouse Ward was declared a tie by the Returning Officer, but Mr Reynolds won the seat after lots were cast.
That result will now stand after Mr Justice Tugendhat and Mr Justice Blake ruled today that a single disputed ballot paper had been rightly counted in Mr Reynolds' favour.
The ballot paper had a diagonal mark in the left hand column beside the number of the Labour candidate - rather than a cross in the right hand column - but the judges nevertheless ruled the Returning Officer had rightly discerned the voter's intention to cast his vote for Labour.
The election petition, challenging the declared result of the poll, was taken to court by four voters - Michelle Pilling, Scott Atkinson, Susan McDevitt and Ian Smith - who the court today ordered to pay £30,000 in legal costs bills, despite being told they are of "scant means".
The judges will give reasons for their decision at a later date in writing.
James Clayton is a kid who has been brainwashed by his BNP father, also a failed nazi BNP candidate. This is the second time that James Clayton has failed as a nazi BNP candidate. Is he destined to repeat this cycle of failure politically and non-politically throughout the rest of his life? Is there hope for Master Clayton? It seems a shame to make the decision as such a young to piss away your life in the prejudiced-soaked world of the nazi BNP. But, then again it’s his choice; this is a free country after all. Just hope and pray that the nazi BNP never take over and take away that freedom.
Julie Andrews is just an arrogant and ignorant townie who has come to sow the seeds of fascism and disruption in Upper Beeding. Nobody asked her or the racist BNP to stand in Upper Beeding. The result is that we’ve had this rather pointless parish election at a wasteful cost to the British taxpayer. In the end she only got around 35% of the vote on the back of all the publicity and hype she and the BNP generated. This is the type of bad publicity that Upper Beeding doesn’t need nor deserves.
So, in the past two-three days we’ve had:
1) Two nazi BNP town councillors resign;
2) One nazi BNP town councillor loses his seat through a frivolous court action he launched and four BNP supporters/members facing a resultant £30,000 legal bill they admit they can’t pay;
3) One nazi BNP parish councillor resigns;
4) Two nazi BNP thugs lose a libel action in court and in the process bankrupt themselves; and
5) The nazi BNP failed to get elected to Upper Beeding parish council despite all the resources they poured in.
Not a bad week for anti-fascism, the British legal system and freedom.
Yippee !!!!
I really feared that they would win that Parish Council by-election : very few parish council candidates get two pages in a national daily !! And still they lost
Catastrophic for the BNP
Happy Days for us !
Bloody marvellous and the suns be shining all afternoon.
Even tbe Daily Mail couldn't help this griffin stooge.
Not noticed the Mail running any stories about any of the rebels yet, which is mighty strange.
"So, what is a Nazi cross burning ceremony? You didn't answer."
Who cares?
A double report?
Sorry to be off topic, but have the BNP got their own 'Guardian' journalist? Or, does the state owned, Simon Darby, get special treatment?
"Worryingly, the British National Party believes it will do well if a recession bites. "We don't desire a recession," says spokesman Simon Darby, "but it won't harm us, especially as we've been predicting that the bubble would burst. In a recession, the middle classes will no longer be able to opt out. It takes away the comfort factor, and forces people to see what our multicultural society is really like. Middle-class parents in London won't be able to send their children to private schools. They'll have to go to state schools, and they'll realise that some of those schools are not at all desirable."
The BNP might be called "catastrophist" in their outlook: they reckon economic collapse would give them an opportunity to reorder society. Many on the far left would also welcome a collapse, seeing it, as Marx did, as a forerunner of revolution. But Peter Manson, of the Communist Party of Great Britain, cautions against being too deterministic. "Economic crises provide us with political opportunities," he says, "but they can easily be squandered. In the middle of the 19th century, Marx and Engels were sure there would be an economic crisis in Britain, and they were right. But the revolution never came."

Apparently, Lord Holborn is funding the rebels: -
Who is Lord Holborn, you are all saying?

Personally I like Chris Hill. I think he's tall and good looking!
Even James Clayton's local Blackpool BNP site couldn't be bothered to cover his campaign and the result.
what blackpool bnp site??
Chris Hill's a secret Griffinite weasel who the rebels shouldn't trust.
