What is it about the BNP, that they can never tell the truth? Reporting on the BNP's election efforts in Loughton, Essex, Martin Wingfield, editor of the BNP newspaper The Voice of Freedom writes: "Pat Richardson is defending her Loughton Broadway seat".
No she is not. She is standing in Loughton Broadway but has been a councillor for Loughton Fairmead for the past four years. She moved because she thinks she has a better chance in her husband's Broadway seat.
Wingfield continues in similar untruthful vein: "Alex Copland is standing in Loughton Fairmead and hoping to regain the seat formerly held by Pat's husband, Tom". No, Copland is filling the vacancy in the seat Pat Richardson abandoned.
Clearly, Richardson, Copland and Wingfield are banking on Loughton's BNP voters being too thick to notice.
