Hope not Hate's first 2008 campaign video

In preparation for this year's Hope not Hate Campaign (which focuses this time on keeping the BNP out of the London Assembly at the forthcoming London elections) Londoners share their thought and feelings for their multi-cultural capital.

Hope not Hate

Time for a quick competition
Watch the video and listen to the great music accompanying it. If you think you know the name of the track and the singer(s), sling us an email (link over on the right) and the first one out of the metaphorical hat gets to win a bright and breezy Hope not Hate T-shirt. Include your size (small-XXL only) and your address and it'll be winging its way to you as soon as we can get to the post office.

UK only, sorry.

Brilliant stuff. Really warm, really encouraging and progressive, likeable and TRUSTWORTHY looking people.

A terrific cross section of race, age and ethnicity.

Who is that singing in the background though? For the life of me I cannot get that voice out of my head and I've only watched this three times!

Congrat to all at LUAF

We'd love to take credit for this excellent video but we didn't make it; it was created by the team at Searchlight. You're right though - it's an excellent job.

Re' the singer. I've no idea but I'd like to know too.

Actually that sounds like the cue for a quick competition. See the post for details. :-)

Fab tune, nice film. But I've no idea who the singer is. :(

Just a question, but is anyone featured on the video NOT gay or ethnic?

A fair point, I think!

Great video, and hopefully Hope Not Hate will sink Bumbrook's arrogant griffinite hopes in the forthcoming elections, if the pussy-footing rebels haven't the guts to sabotage the One Eyed Monster's campaign.

A stupid point, I think. How the hell do you know who's gay?

Gay? Ethnic?

Maybe someone should pop around to Martin Reynolds' house and catch him with his "personal" insertions and ask him!

It looks to me like the meeting reflected modern London.

If it was that "Gay" I'm sure Barnbrook would have been there to strip off and try and make a new movie.
