Case of BNP teacher adjourned

Technology teacher allegedly posted unacceptable comments on forum

A teacher accused of using a school laptop to spread religious intolerance on the internet had his misconduct case adjourned today.

Adam Walker, a member of the British National Party, is alleged to have posted comments "suggestive of racial and religious intolerance" in an online forum between February and March 2007. At the time, Walker was a technology teacher at Houghton Kepier sports college in Houghton-le-Spring, near Sunderland.

Walker, an ex-soldier, asked the General Teaching Council's panel, which was hearing his case in Birmingham today, to stay the proceedings because he was not represented by a lawyer.

Patrick Harrington, Walker's trade union representative, told the panel his client was being denied a right to a fair hearing. The panel rejected this, but granted his request for an adjournment.

Walker, from Spennymoor, County Durham, plans to examine whether he is able to seek a judicial review of the panel's decision that he did not have to be represented by a lawyer. The case was adjourned until April 29 – unless an application for judicial review is made before April 22.

Where's Lee Barnes when you need him?

Surely the legal might of Gonzo should have ridden in on Barnbrooks old nag to save him?

Didnt the petty cash of 'Solidarity' stretch to a lawyer then?

What a complete waste of money.

On the "Solidarity" website Harrington brags "I am no lawyer but I will do my best to ensure that Adam is justly treated."

And then Harrington gets the case adjourned because he isn't a lawyer!!

Brilliant!

Solidarity members certainly get the treatment that they justly deserve!

Squalid by name, Squalid by nature.

That's the beauty of the Squalidarity trade union run by and for the BNP.

Harrington is little more than a barrack roon lawyer who likes to pontificate to all those plebs who want to listen to him. He dreams of sipping wine with the legal and trade union big-wigs and comparing sizes of income but he knows that with his reputation and background he'll never figure there.

So he rants on his squalid little website about how wonderful he is and what he is doing for his members.

Yet when it comes to the crunch there is nothing but hot air left.

Harrington and Walker realise they're on a loser and will never win. This is all a PR exercise for Griffin and Harrington.

Besides, the money-pot for Squalidarity is strictly for the officials and Griffin - not its duped members.

Get real Walker and smell the coffee.
