I had to google 01702 to find out where this place is. Southend apparently. It would be more useful if exact locations could be given in the article text in similar circumstances in future so locals can organise.

What a dump!
A woman answering the phone has just told me that she is the only member of staff present and knows of no Griffin meeting tonight.However, I urge others to continue ringing unless and until Antifascist is able to confirm that the meeting is not happening or has been canceled etc.

About a month ago the BNP scheduled an internal disciplinary hearing against Michael Barnbrook at the Cobham Lodge. I don't think he turned up.

It would be good if people could keep telling us the outcomes of their phone calls, eg, does the woman consistently maintain that there is no such meeting tonight?
The woman has claimed to me that she doesn't know anything about it, that she's just come one duty and that se is there on her own...in 3 different calls, within the space of 2hrs!
I'm not entirely sure whether she's just thick, or if she thinks I am!
Two other people have been told that Griffin is not speaking tonight and a third was asked for his number so that he could be rung back.
The woman is probably a BNP member.
It doesn't look like we were going to stop that meeting but does anyone know the outcome?
