Of bullshit-fests and makeovers...

15 Comment (s)
This was the scene outside the Rockware Hotel, Standish Street, St. Helens, where the BNP was holding its EGM at which (surprise, surprise) Nick Griffin is working extremely hard at lying to gullible BNP members to get them to vote for him in the coming leadership challenge - if there is a leadership challenge at all, which some of our correspondents are beginning to doubt.

The usual dossers are standing around outside, with the biggest dosser of all, porky pervert Martin Reynolds, still head of personal security for the paunchy pig farmer himself, over on the extreme left for a change.

Mysteriously, the Lie Lorry was treated to a makeover of strawberry pink and egg white while the meeting was going on. Click on the image to see it full-size. Doesn't it look luvverly. :-)

Cheers to the anonymous picture provider.

Protesters stopped Nick Griffin, leader of the Nazi British National Party (BNP), from speaking at meeting last night.

About 30 anti-fascists assembled at short notice after Unite Against Fascism (UAF) heard of Griffin’s invitation to the journalists' Frontline Club in Paddington, West London. The club was screening the More4 documentary, The Battle for Barking, about the election battle between Labour MP Margaret Hodge and the BNP during the May 2010 local elections.

It planned to follow this with a question and answer session featuring Griffin. Documentary director, Laura Fairrie, and Darren Rodwell, organiser of the Labour Party election campaign in Barking, were also invited to the event which was to be moderated by journalist Sarfraz Manzoor.

Anti-fascists had urged the club not to give a platform to Griffin, but they refused to withdraw his invitation. A determined protest confronted Griffin and his security team outside the venue.

Despite trying to force their way to the entrance of the club by attacking protesters and spraying them with an aerosol dye, Nazi Nick and his minders were forced back. Looking visibly shaken they briefly took refuge in a local hotel before fleeing the area entirely. The documentary showing went ahead without a platform for the BNP.

Taxpayer foots bill for BNP minder

18 Comment (s)
Nick Griffin, the BNP leader, has put his personal bodyguard on the European Union payroll as his party becomes the latest to exploit the political expenses system.

A dozen senior figures from the party make up a BNP entourage of publicly funded assistants. As MEPs, Griffin and Andrew Brons are entitled to claim a combined £382,000 a year to pay for their colleagues’ salaries.

Martin Reynolds, a 20-stone bodybuilder who is head of security and Griffin’s bodyguard, said he “honestly didn’t know” why he was justified in being paid by the taxpayer. He said of his job: “I just do the security side of it and personal assistant stuff and generally looking after him and making sure things are done for him.”

Griffin and Brons are also channelling payments to other “assistants” including Simon Darby, the BNP’s deputy leader, Eddy Butler, its national organiser, Emma Colgate, its national administration officer, and a number of regional organisers and councillors. Some have not been openly declared as working for either MEP and others have unsavoury backgrounds.

Martin Wingfield, former editor of the BNP’s monthly newspaper, Voice of Freedom, is being paid as an assistant by both Griffin and Brons. He served a three-month prison sentence in the 1980s for failing to pay a fine following convictions on two counts of inciting racial hatred with election literature.

Adam Walker, head of Solidarity, the BNP’s supposed trade union, is being paid through Brons’s funds. Walker had to resign his teaching post in 2007 after being accused of posting anti-Muslim comments on the web using a school laptop.

All the BNP hierarchy’s new salaries, which go up to £25,000 a year, are allocated out of a personal £191,000 a year “assistants’ allowance” to which every MEP is entitled. EU rules state that assistants must justify their taxpayer-funded salaries by doing work which is “directly linked to the exercise of a member’s parliamentary mandate”.

John Walker, the party’s deputy press spokesman, confirmed that he was being paid £18,000 a year in taxpayers’ money. He also receives £6,000 a year from the party.

“I am expected to do two days a week for Andrew and two days a week for Nick. And then the other day . . . is for the party,” he said. Walker added that the BNP was “sensitive” to the fact that the rules emphasise all work must relate to the MEP’s role and not the party.

When Reynolds was asked what “specifically” he does for his EU salary, he said: “I honestly don’t know.”

He added: “I never got paid before, all our security was done for no payment whatsoever. I was an electrician.” He declined to say what his pay is now. He said he was not sure if he also received a salary from the party: “I don’t know the ins and outs of my finances, my wife sorts all that out.”

John Thompson, the BNP’s accountant, said the party’s MEPs were using about half their full allowances and explained that the level of salary varied. “The top level might be £25,000 and the lowest £8,000,” he said.

Walker said: “I suppose we are going to publish the breakdown [of taxpayer-funded salaries] but whether they will go as far as individual remunerations I don't know.”

The shower behind the BNP throne

1 Comment (s)
The henchmen behind vile BNP leader Nick Griffin have their thin veneer of acceptability stripped away today.

His minders and hangers-on wore smart suits and ties as they leaped to shield their party leader from a barrage of eggs and anti-fascist taunts this week. But the News of the World can reveal their respectable image conceals a Nazi-saluting RACIST, a depraved SWINGER and a FAILED wannabe councillor who lives with his mum.

The rotten shower were among sidekicks who jumped in to protect Griffin, 49, from furious protesters in London. Griffin and Andrew Brons, who together had just become MEPs in the Euro elections, had been trying to portray their party as a reasonable voice. But we can reveal that their minders' views are every bit as warped as the BNP's policies.

Take JAY SLAVEN, who was seen on camera roughly pushing a bystander aside as he escorted Griffin and Brons away. A truer picture of Slaven, 25, emerges from another photo of him giving a Nazi salute and posing with a St George's flag draped over his shoulders.

The snap features on a Facebook photo album entitled "Forever Brave, Forever True, Forever England! St George's Day!"

Slaven, from Doddinghurst, Essex, tried to make a name for himself by defending Jade Goody's racist remarks to Shilpa Shetty during Celebrity Big Brother in 2007. At the time he claimed the huge row which erupted over comments made towards Indian actress Shilpa was "laughable".

In another rant Slaven, an assistant distribution manager, declared: "I see no possible wrong in wanting to preserve this island race of ours. Racial mixing is not leading to the BNP success, the vast damage done to our nation by successive governments is."

Pictured near Slaven at the egg demo was burly BNP minder MARTIN REYNOLDS, who is Griffin's head of security and a regular feature at his elbow. But Reynolds - married with three kids - is also a regular on the swingers scene and lusts after "big girls". The 41-year- old from Leeds was pictured at the London bust-up in dark glasses. But he wore far less as he watched women indulge in sex acts at a squalid orgy.

Months earlier he had gone on dating website faceparty.com with fellow BNP organisers Mark Collett and Dan Hannam. Reynolds told how he hated stuck-up people and women on diets - and listed his ideal female as "size 16 and above with a good sense of humour and a sex drive to match mine".

Also among Griffin's gang was TONY GLADWIN, who lives with his mum in a 1960s house with a St George's Cross flying from a 6ft flagpole outside. The 25-year-old landscape gardener recently stood as a district councillor but failed miserably to get elected. Gladwin, from Billericay, Essex, has said: "Everyone that knows me knows I am in the BNP. I'm very proud of it. People have made out it's like a secret society, like we should be hiding it."

Another Griffin minder is former London mayoral candidate JULIAN LEPPERT, a postman who is happiest when he is delivering racist scare stories. He said: "We don't want to be a minority in our city, let alone our country. That is what we are going to have by 2055 if current trends continue."

Meanwhile new MEP Andrew Brons, 61, seeks to be the respectable face of the party but 25 years ago he was convicted of behaviour likely to cause a breach of the peace. He and another National Front member were shouting slogans including "Death to Jews" and "White Power".

Exposed: BNP leader Nick Griffin spotted meeting KKK chief Don Black

0 Comment (s)
The far-right party leader met former KKK chief and American Nazi Party thug Stephen "Don" Black at racist conferences in the US.

Home Secretary Jacqui Smith named the 55-year-old as one of 16 more extremists yesterday blocked from ever entering our shores. The former KKK Grand Black Wizard was once jailed for trying to invade the Caribbean island of Dominica with mercenaries. But despite Black's criminal past, Griffin - who is standing in next month's European elections - was happy to be pictured alongside him.

Black, boss of hate-fuelled website Stormfront, was banned from Britain along with other hate preachers, Islamic extremists and far-right US talk show host Michael Weiner.

Ms Smith said: "Coming to this country is a privilege. I refuse to extend that privilege to individuals who abuse our standards and values. I will not hesitate to name and shame those who foster extremist views as I want them to know they are not welcome here."

The UK banned list now includes more than 100 people. Islamic hate preacher Omar Bakri Mohammed, who now lives in Lebanon, is on it.

Griffin was pictured with Black at the American Renaissance conference in Washington DC in 2006. BNP head of publicity Mark Collett and Leeds organiser Martin Reynolds were also present, as was Black's predecessor as KKK chief, David Duke.

The BNP said: "We shared a platform with these people, but it doesn't mean we share their beliefs. In fact, we were arguing for a sensible nationalism."

The Mirror's third Hope Not Hate bus campaign starts this month. Our red double decker will tour Britain spreading an anti-racism message in the run-up to the June 4 European elections.

One Flew Over The Pig Farm: the BNP and us in 2008 - August

3 Comment (s)
Summer arrives with a vengeance and a nicely sarcastic series of articles by our friend Iliacus, who begins the task of inspecting and analysing the BNP's accounts for 2007 - delivered to the Electoral Commission late, as usual. Iliacus points out the highlights, which to the untrained eye, show a party in great financial trouble, as shown by the auditor for the accounts who states 'the financial statements do not give a true and fair view of the state of the party's affairs'.
  • Donation Income falls by 32%
  • Membership income up by 38% (?)
  • Income from commercial activities down by 68%!
  • Deficit for year is £50,000 (against £18,000 surplus in 2006)
  • Current cash accounts in chaos
  • Balance sheet shows net liabilities of £85,000+
  • Party owes £20,000 + in PAYE and VAT - (that's £20k less for schools and hospitals!)
Who is to blame for all this? The party's chairman? Its incompetent treasurer? Perish the thought. Nick Griffin has the answer and says so in his Chairman's Report.
'Oxfordshire police; Labour Party thugs; illegality by Labour Cabinet Ministers; undemocratic thugs from the far-left; local newspapers; the police and the Electoral Commission; third party disparagers; the unions; the Daily Mirror; postal fraud by Labour and LibDem activists; unscrupulous council officials; a small clique of staff and middle ranking officials [within the BNP !]; the violent far-left of the Labour regime; the viciously anti-BNP neo-Nazi fringe. (All listed and identified in Griffin's 'Chairman's Report' as acting against the BNP, and many of them accused of illegal behaviour. Only surprised that he forgot the BBC. Thank goodness he isn't paranoid!)'
Iliacus' masterly summary of the mess that is the BNP's accounts can be read by clicking the links below:

The Accounts (1): First Impressions
The Accounts (2): "We wuz robbed"
The Accounts (3): Figure Skating
The Accounts (4): "and for my next trick"
The Accounts (5) : "a slender merit of providing cosmetic comfort"

Meanwhile the BNP, the party that has nothing but respect for all things British (ho-ho), pisses off everyone by flogging fake Victoria Crosses, thus showing its contempt for our armed forces and incidentally using the income from sales to fund more of the party's extremism and racism. Hero Lance Corporal Johnson Beharry, 28, who won the VC four years ago for saving 30 pals in Iraq, condemned the BNP. He said: “Selling fake VCs is very disrespectful. The honour of the medal and its history shouldn’t be tarnished like this. I take so much pride in my medal and I hate seeing it abused. The medal is not about money or politics and it shouldn’t be worn for fun – that devalues the sacrifice of the soldiers who won it.”

The BNP's Lie Lorry looks to be one of its key moneymakers if the number of begging letters sent out referring to it are anything to go by. You'll recall that the party asked for £30,000 to buy the truck but now they are asking for more to actually put it on the road. No-one in the party (apparently) has the sense to ask why this wasn't factored into the original appeal.

The truth is that the Lie Lorry is yet another of Griffin's scams - remember Boudicca the amazing invisible bus? How much money was raised by the membership for that? Nobody knows, except Griffin and co. And where is the bus? Nobody knows that either. The Truth Truck, being shared with UK LifeLeague, will no doubt appear and will cost the membership dearly. It already has - but this is just the beginning of the scam. And I'll bet there are many more to come.

News reaches us of plans to change the constitution of the BNP to allow leadership challenges to take place quadrennially, rather than annually. There are many changes in the pipeline as Griffin seeks to consolidate his slippery grip on the BNP, many of which are planned for an Extraordinary General Meeting which is to take place at the Red, White and Blue later this month.

The moronic Tommy Williams (he of Covert fame) got in trouble for trying to claim on the nazi Stormfront forum that a bomb had been set off at the entrance to the RWB site. A complete lie that he only told because he thought 'reds' (meaning anyone who opposes the BNP) would get the blame. Silly boy. After a snorter of a telling-off from Nick Griffin, who could obviously imagine the cash-carrying punters melting away into the sunset, Williams quickly printed a retraction, blaming the incident on local children setting off fireworks. Strangely, there is no record of any such incident taking place - not with the police, the local newspapers or any local residents I asked. Am I surprised? Well, no.

Mid-August saw a 700-strong demo against the RWB in Denby somewhat disproportionately policed by 250 officers, many in riot gear. This huge number was supplemented by as many (it seemed) on the BNP's security team. There's a full report of the demo here but one of the highlights was a group of anti-fascists listening to Martin Reynolds, the BNP's then head of security, being told in no uncertain terms by police control to 'breathe deep and calm down' after he called for help in a mad panic. Since then, Reynolds appears to have been replaced by the arrogant Cumbrian and dandy Clive Jefferson. The RWB had a bright spot for Nick Griffin though - he walked away having secured a severance package that could bankrupt the BNP overnight.

At the end of August, the BNP stepped up its production of racially-inflammatory material with yet another leaflet blaming the heroin trade entirely on Muslims via its Preston branch, which seems to have permanently renamed itself the Preston Pals. As usual, the police seem reluctant to take any action despite the fact that there have been numerous complaints about the leaflet. One wonders why...

The month ends with the news that a group calling itself Daten-Antifa has hacked into the servers of the Blood and Honour neo-nazi group, pinching nearly 32,000 items of data on members, their email addresses and their messages from all over the world. While we naturally disapprove of this sort of behaviour, the databank can be found here.

Over 200 protest against BNP conference

31 Comment (s)

The demo arrives...
Well over two hundred anti-fascists attended an enthusiastic and lively demonstration outside the wretched New Kimberley Hotel in Blackpool yesterday, in a protest at the British National Party bringing its conference to Blackpool for the third year in a row. Demonstrators and speakers came from as far away as Oxford and speakers for the day represented numerous organisations including Blackpool and Fleetwood UAF, UNISON, Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre TUC, Barrow and South Cumbria UAF, Lancaster University SAAR, North-West UAF, the NUT, national UAF, Manchester UAF, Gay Activist's Alliance International and the CWU.

The demo began with us gathering outside the rear entrance to the Winter Gardens, where a couple of pro-BNP louts shouted abuse for no apparent reason. We heard a number of speakers there, then marched briskly along the prom, giving out hundreds of leaflets and receiving many supporting cheers on the way to South Shore, where we gathered for the demo proper outside the tatty New Kimberley Hotel, a hazard to humans though not, apparently, to members of the BNP, which tells us quite a lot about the party.

There is a reasonable report on the demo (that sadly includes a moment of Nick Griffin) which you can access by going here and clicking on Latest News Bulletins over on the right. Just select the one for Saturday and there we are.

Demonstrators arriving at the New Kimberley
To stop them making abusive gestures (as they have in previous years) and generally attempting to intimidate protestors, the BNP conference delegates (once again, about sixty of them, according to an ITV reporter who had been inside the rathole) were ordered to remain behind the closed and filthy curtains of the New Kimberley by the police. To be fair, most of them did as they were told, with the exception of bone-headed Clive Jefferson, who seems to be the current head of security and the Cumbria organiser, who stuck his ugly mug out on at least a half-dozen occasions.

According to our man in the BNP's security team, they spent most of the day concerned with the seating arrangements for lunch and dinner - at least until someone asked for a glass of water and nobody could find any. Headless chickens, was the phrase used. Here's a tip for future members of possibly the most idiotic security team the BNP has ever put together - use the tap.

Security spent a good deal of Saturday worrying about someone who was round the rear of the Kimberley, apparently taking photographs of the hell-hole from the back. This caused major panic, mostly because with the police in close proximity the heavies couldn't just go out and beat the crap out of the guy and nick his camera. Jefferson was eventually forced to order the bovine Martin Reynolds to go and speak to the police while his mates took a note of the photographer's vehicle registration number - no doubt soon to appear on Redwatch. Reynolds had no idea how to do this and was humiliatingly lectured by the appallingly arrogant Jefferson on what he should say, how to say it and told in no uncertain terms to get on with it.

Demonstrators listening to speakers outside the 'conference'
A demo is useful for a number of reasons, not the least of which is to let the BNP know (and to continue letting them know) that there is opposition to their fascism out here and that there are people who are prepared to stand up and voice that opposition despite intimidation from the lunatic element of the far-right party. One demonstrator, who was waiting to meet up with some friends after the demo, was abused and spat at by a BNP supporter. Rather than putting her off organising against the far-right party, this has added to her determination to do all she can to fight against it. Demo's are also useful for making new contacts or re-establishing old ones - a fact that was borne out when I got back and realised that I'd collected twenty-odd email addresses and phone numbers to go on our contact list.

Thank you to everyone who made the effort to turn out, particularly to our many friends who travelled from well out of the area. Many thanks also to our speakers who all did a sterling job and our great thanks to the many members of the Blackpool public who stopped to chat or who were driving past but gave us the thumbs-up. Even the weather behaved itself (for a change).

Remember, this 'conference' was the starting point for Nick Griffin's attempt to heave himself on to the European Parliament. They started their campaign for Europe at Blackpool - for no reason other than that the New Kimberley is the only rancid shithole in the country that will take the scum of the BNP for a whole three days. Saturday's demonstration should be seen as the beginning of a massive and unrelenting campaign to keep Griffin and the rest of his party out of Europe. Let's keep them out!

Caption competition time again
Without being utterly filthy, we'd like to see some interesting captions for this lovely picture of fugly-porn star and la-la Martin Reynolds and er, friend, at the RWB. Do try not to be too obscene (though I can understand the difficulty).

A conspiracy revealed and more sackings and purges to come after the BNP's EGM

38 Comment (s)
Here we are again, on the run-up to another Red, White and Blue disaster, with the BNP in disarray and Nick Griffin's leadership looking at its rockiest since the heady days of December 2007, when Sadie Graham and co were booted unceremoniously out of the party amid allegations of email-tampering and back-stabbing that led (eventually) to Manchester Civil Court, though not to any kind of resolution.

Following the December rebellion, when dozens of party activists stood down in support of the Graham clique, there were plans to get rid of Griffin flying about all over the place - talks of a new party, leadership challenges, legal challenges etc - all of which came to naught as the rebels failed to provide the leadership that the rebels and their supporters so desperately needed. Instead, Colin Auty, little known inside the party except for his 'music', pushed incessantly by the failing Great White Records, was persuaded to stand in a pointless leadership campaign, doomed to failure even if it had managed to get off the ground - which it didn't.

This utterly pointless challenge by Auty has inevitably brought Griffin's paranoia to a head and has led directly to his much-publicised attempt to twist the rules of the party to stop leadership challenges being annual and make them quadrennial or at the very least, biennial, thus cutting down on his chances of losing his lucrative post with its almost endless potential for money-making scams at the expense of a gullible membership. The RWB will see an Extraordinary General Meeting take place which will change the face of the BNP and consolidate Griffin's position until he can (as he fully expects to) join the gravy-train of the European Parliament next year without having to worry about distractions like Colin Auty popping up out of nowhere.

This EGM is a direct result of the failure of the Challenge for Leadership rebel team to provide proper leadership when it was most needed, whether inside the party or out. Sadie Graham was extremely well-placed to form a new party immediately following her sacking, to stand against the corruption and financial mismanagement that is endemic in Griffin's BNP but she and her team chose, for some incomprehensible reason that eluded most of her supporters, to continue to give her direct support to the existing BNP - though a BNP without the likes of Griffin, the notoriously-arrogant Mark Collett and bumbling idiot Dave Hannam, both of the latter being much-loathed even within the party itself.

Graham's partner Matt Single, former member of the BNP's security team and an unwitting stooge in another of Griffin's scams (this time to teach people evasive and defensive driving just in case someone attempts to kidnap them - for a fee, naturally), who writes as 'Integrity' on the rebel's Challenge for Leadership blog, has taken centre-stage in the fight against Griffin, banging on incessantly and impotently about how bad he is at running the BNP and how corrupt he is - but this appears to be anger that's still simmering away at the treatment he and Graham received from his former comrades in the security team, who raided the Single/Graham home with the willing help, it has emerged, of Nina Brown - a former friend who had been angling to step into Graham's job, or something similar, for some time. With friends like that, who the hell needs enemies.

Yes, folks, there is NO loyalty to one's friends in the BNP. All this rubbish about the party being one big happy family or like a community is, as you suspected, bullshit pumped out by the ton via the speeches and publications with which the BNP relentlessly showers its membership.

You may recall that the story that did the rounds following the raid was that Griffin's henchmen (Martin Reynolds, who we hear is for the chop next, and his fellow Kray brothers, sorry, security team members) were outside the Graham home, having gone there to reclaim items that were actually owned by the BNP (or so they claimed). Much to their surprise, ho-ho, neither Graham nor Single were at home. While pondering what to do, who should appear but Nina Brown, a then friend of the couple and handy keyholder for when they were away and the cat needed to be fed, who let the security gorillas in to take the goodies.

The truth has now begun to emerge and it turns out to be quite different. In fact, the whole event was stage-managed by Nick Griffin with the collusion of Nina Brown and Reynolds' security team. It was known that Graham and Single were off to attend the South East Christmas social (along with Griffin himself) that weekend - they all knew that - so Reynolds and a team made up of heavies from Leeds and Birmingham met up on the motorway, travelled to Brinsley and arranged to meet with Nina Brown who opened the front door for them and watched as they took the PC (which didn't belong to the BNP), the laptop, a mass of paperwork, printers and so on, piled it into the vehicle and shoved off. And why the need to do all this surreptitiously? Because Single is a thug and if he'd been on the premises, particularly with a pregnant Sadie Graham getting all hot and bothered over what was happening, he'd have caused something of a ruckus which might have done the party even more damage in the long run.

Nick Griffin has no sense of loyalty, even to those who devote themselves to him and/or the party. For years, Graham and Single helped Griffin to hold his position at the top of the BNP and did nothing except remain loyal to him while others were purged, expelled or forced to resign. Then it was their turn and they went the same way. Martin Reynolds has followed Griffin around for years, waddling beside him like an overweight but faithful dog, ready to plod into action should one of his many enemies take a baseball bat to Griffin. And now we hear that Reynolds is on his way out. Nina Brown, who has already earned herself a reputation as an utterly useless parish councillor, is also rumoured to be out of favour and on her way out of the party. And thus is loyalty rewarded in Nick Griffin's BNP.

Even worse is to come. We hear from reliable sources that the EGM is rigged to produce the result that Griffin wants (no great surprise there), postal voting is now allowed, despite (or perhaps because of) the BNP's repeated claim that postal vote fraud is both easy and common, and that those who vote against Griffin's proposals will soon find themselves out on their communal ear.

So no change there then.

Updated: Former Burnley BNP councillor Luke Smith found dead

38 Comment (s)
We've just spoken to the coroner's officer in Burnley, who has confirmed the death of former BNP councillor, Luke Smith. Smith was found hanged in Burnley's Yorkshire Street at around 4pm yesterday. An inquest will open on Friday though the verdict is likely to be suicide. Smith was 26.

The last report we had of Smith's behaviour was when he suddenly reappeared from obscurity a few days ago, after being convicted of attacking a pub landlord. In the article that we reprinted, it was revealed that Smith's mental health was fast-deteriorating and the court was told that he was said to be suffering from adjustment disorder, brief reactive depression and a mental and behavioural disorder due to misuse of substances.

Smith had a long history of football-related violence behind him, and was jailed for 17 months in March 2006 after being convicted of violent disorder in relation to incidents surrounding a World Cup qualifier in October 2004 and later violence in Blackpool. He was also banned from football grounds for six years. This followed on from a two-and-a-half year football banning order, imposed for being involved in over 20 violent episodes in five years. Following his 17 month conviction, the BNP rallied around him saying that he was not a man of violence.

Smith was also one of the youngest BNP councillors, resigning his seat on the then BNP flagship Burnley council (on which they had, at the time, eight councillors) in 2003 following an incident at that year's Red, White and Blue booze-fest, when a drunken and belligerent Smith attacked then Leeds organiser Martin Reynolds (now Head of Security) with a bottle, smashing it into Reynolds' face and opening up a gash close to his left eye that required seven stitches, subsequently dealt with by Leeds Royal Infirmary. This fracas earned Smith his expulsion from the BNP and a three-year ban on holding public office by the Standards Board.

Sunday snippets from the 'quiet revolution'

13 Comment (s)
Our regular readers will recall the incident of Robert Cottage, the BNP member who was not a member. Once the BNP realised that the mad would-be bomber was one of its own, the party stupidly announced that he was not a member in the vain hope that this assertion would cause us to forget the fact. It didn't work of course, because it was untrue.

Now the BNP is trying it on again. Roger Robertson, the former campaign manager for Colin Auty during the recent leadership almost-challenge, has been kicked out for bringing the party into disrepute (like that's possible) but a post on Stormfront claims that he ceased to be a member of the party in January. When asked why the party would hold a tribunal for a member to be sacked when he isn't even a member, the poster (who is, we believe, owl-spotter Simon Darby) declined to answer. Keep on rewriting history, guys...

Oh, they are. The December rebels who Griffin was taking through the High Court have received letters this week from the pig farmer himself, asking that the case be dropped because 'it's your homes at risk' and 'it's in the best interests of' party unity and so on, apparently forgetting that it was he himself who brought the case.

Only speculation, but could it be that His Porkiness has run out of readies? That his real legal advisors (as opposed to the cretinous Lee Barnes) have yet to be paid and are getting a bit shirty? Oh dear, I can feel another appeal coming on...

Talking of appeals, do you remember those bloody awful begging letters that the BNP send out on a regular basis - the ones that look like they should say 'you're a winner' and look like they might have come from Reader's Digest around 1968? We're told these bits of amateurish tat were designed by some Irish advertising 'gurus' who are among the best in their field. Blimey. I'd hate to see the worst. One of our correspondents speculated on the cost of these 'gurus'. We reckon about £4.50 but we'd be interested in hearing your guesses.

Anyway, these letters - probably because the BNP send them out every other week - are not working any more and emails to us suggest very strongly that the membership of the BNP is heartily sick of being scrounged off all the time. In fact, four out of five of the emails we receive now print the name Griffin as Gri££in - the other one prints it as Gri$$in (there's always one) - just showing that feelings are running deep and that the membership is rapidly losing interest in being treated as a cash cow for the Griffin family business. As one former BNP supporter put it;

'These bloody letters are an embarrassment, I’ll not pay another penny so he can go and waste it or lose another blimp'

Is it St Valentine's Day already? If all the rumours are true, we must congratulate Martin Reynolds, the steroid-saturated head of security and smutty pix at the BNP for his apparent new relationship with, we're told, a Ms Diane Smith, an activist and organiser from Norfolk. Also, we're led to believe that nazi-boy Mark Collett is going after older women these days. We're told a romance is blossoming between him and former clog dancer Simone Clarke, Dicky Barnbrook's ex-fake-fiance. Lovely to see that even the BNP can let a little romance into its tarnished soul from time to time. We look forward to reading of a further fake-engagement in the near future. Or maybe even two.

As the world moves beyond credit cards and online transactions, the BNP is reverting to being a mainly cash organisation. Rather than taking money online or via cheque, which would require some records to be kept, this year's Red, White and Blue piss-up isn't, like previous years, a ticket-only affair. Instead, those attending will be required to pay on entry, cash on the door. One wonders why. In the words of the Challenge for Change blog (formerly the Challenge for Leadership blog);

'...is the fact that cash disappears without a trace very easily that makes this such an attractive change to the RWB set-up? Or is it the blithering incompetence of the Treasury Department that has time and time again fouled up so many branch accounts after the RWB and taken months to clear up the mess?'

We believe we know the reasons for the move to cash only. Membership of the BNP is dropping rapidly and the numbers attending the RWB will reflect this, so the party wants to avoid having a record of attendees. There's also the point about cash being easier to move around - a very valid point that, given the party's dire financial position, is probably the main reason for the change. There is though, the anti-RWB demo that is planned for August 16th. The BNP will want to claim that the RWB was even more 'successful' than last year and every other year since it started, despite the demonstration outside. The only way the party will be able to do this is if there is no proper attendance record. Of course, the party will be found out in its lies (it always is) when people start asking where the money has gone (they always do) and the party management has no answer for them (they never have).

And finally, on a similar subject, a word about the BNP's ludicrous and pointless Summer School for activists, organisers and fundholders. As usual, the creepy Simon Darby hailed it as an enormous success, and between them, the party leadership managed to suggest that there was well over two hundred people in attendance. Not so. Just ninety people attended and most of these thought the whole event so poorly managed that they left early.

The BNP - failure wherever you look.

STICKY: A quick quiz for all you BNP members looking in (we know you're there)

As members of a so-called political party, you are expected to know a bit about the party hierarchy, structure and so on. Surprisingly, the BNP chooses not to tell its members very much about what goes on at any level, which is why someone was forced to ask on Stormfront a couple of days ago if Roy Goodwin had been booted out of his job after reading it here first (he has).

Given that your party squeezes as much cash as possible out of you via the high membership fees, the vast amount of tatty merchandise it tries to offload on you, its rubbishy Voice of Freedom 'newspaper' and the Red, White and Blue booze-fest and jumble sale, you might choose to wonder where all your hard-earned pennies are going. Some of these questions are pretty fundamental (like the first one) while others are just interesting (like the questions about Lee Barnes, the party's 'legal advisor').

Seventeen questions, more or less - and we defy you to answer more than two of them without having to knowingly lie.

Nick Griffin

1. How much is Nick Griffin paid per annum and how much are his expenses/travel?
2. Precisely how much does the party pay his wife, daughter, mother and father - and for what?

The rest

3. How much is the leadership team paid, per person?

Mark Collett

4. What exactly does Mark Collett do?
5. And why does the party employ a known Hitlerite and idiot?

Tony Lecomber

6. Is Tony Lecomber a member of the BNP right now?
7. Has he ever been a member of the BNP?
8. Why wasn't he thrown out after he proposed an assassination attempt?

Lee Barnes

9. Is Lee Barnes a member of the BNP?
10. Has he ever been a member of the BNP?
11. Has he really got a law degree?

Phil Edwardes

12. Has Dr Phil Edwardes actually got a doctorate?
13. If so, what is it in and where is it from?
14. And why has he got two names (Stuart Russell being the other one)?

Robert West

15. Has the insane fake-vicar Robert West resigned from the party?

Accounts

16. Where are the full accounts for Great White Records, Excalibur Promotions Ltd and the Trafalgar Club?

Security

17. Martin Reynolds is, we're told, paid more than £500 per week, which is a lot of membership fees. How much is paid for the entire security team including their Kray-twin overcoats, Raybans and bullet-proof vests?

There you go. Now let's see how many answers we get...
