The BNP's five days of complete chaos

Harold Wilson famously said 'a week is a long time in politics'. He wasn't wrong but for Nick Griffin, the leader of the BNP, just the past five days must feel like a lifetime. The worst however, may be yet to come.

Yes, it's a mere five days since Sadie Graham and Kenny Smith were turfed out of the party for setting up a web site attacking Griffin's trio of court jesters, Mark Collett, Dave Hannam and John Walker. And if you thought it was longer than that, imagine how long it must seem to Griffin, who must be feeling like the roof just fell in when he least expected it.

In those five days, something around sixty prominent party members have either stood down from their organiser or fundholder (treasurer) positions or resigned the whip as councillors (meaning that they are still councillors but are non-aligned Independents rather that representing the BNP). Just this alone is a huge blow to the BNP, bringing its numer of councillors down to forty-five, a loss of five since the last local government elections in May. Shocking, particularly for a party that claims to be on the route to power.

Those sixty represent far more than their numbers imply. Among them are such luminaries as Graham and Smith themselves, essential cogs in the machinery of the BNP, and well-known names like Chris Beverley, Danny Lake, Ian Dawson, Lee Haggan, Matt Single, Nicholla Smith, Peter Hollings, former Deputy Chair of the party Scott McLean, former Press Officer Stuart Russell and former web site editor Steve Blake. Besides this lot, there are, if our correspondents are correct (and they usually are) dozens more who are saying they are going to resign and numerous members who are simply going to let their membership of the party lapse.

But why all the fuss just because a couple of high-ranking party officers decided to have a go at one of Griffin's blue-eyed boys and got the sack for what was surely a legitimately sackable offence? Mark Collett, the Hitler-worshipping buffoon at the centre of all the original fuss, can only be surprised that there hasn't been an internal revolution against him before now. He is, after all, notable for his startling arrogance and an unerring ability to put his foot firmly in his mouth whenever he is in front of a TV camera but despite taking idiocy to new heights, Collett has hung on in the party for years.

The truth is that there has been an underlying disatisfaction with the way the party operates for some time. This has been mentioned by our correspondents on numerous occasions and every single one of them has pointed to either financial mismanagement (and frequently misappropriation of funds) or sexual shenanigans as the reason for their disquiet. One of them emailed us back in October, stating that, 'once the criminal investigations start (if they ever do), the floodgates will open and everyone will run for cover as it all falls apart'.

This is, I hope, what we're seeing the beginning of now. Since Sunday, when all this began, we've seen a resurgence of the story of the two young girls lured into the Blackpool conference last year by, it is alleged, Collett and Hannam. Matt Single, Sadie Graham's partner and former BNP security team member, posted this on the Enough is Enough blog yesterday;

'At last years conference in Blackpool, I witnessed Collett and Hannam attempt to have sexual relations with two girls that were obviously under the age of sexual consent...'

Strange that a party that is so keen to attack paedophiles and takes up much of its campaigning time talking of the 'grooming' of underage girls should have largely ignored this event, and even stranger that Single should take the moral high ground about this issue now when he has had nothing to say about it for more than a year. Still, news has also emerged that this has been formally reported to the police by someone other than us and the local paper (who were both sent copies of a snippet of film of the event), so let's hope that something is finally to be done about it.

But this isn't all, by any means. The floodgates appear to be opening quite widely at the moment.

The incident where the BNP's security team illegally gained access to Graham and Single's home and stole her personal computer may take on rather more importance over the next few days. Graham states on her blog;

'They took every peice of office equipment in our house, just two items which belonged to the BNP, which I accept. However the computer and the majority of what they took is mine. They knew this but took it anyway.'

Clearly, the security team unlawfully gained entry to Graham's home and the BNP has just as unlawfully prowled through her emails and telephone recordings. But Graham isn't one to take this kind of stuff lying down, as witnessed by her further statement;

'yes the police are investigating and they are well aware of all the issues. They have said that it was definitley theft and entry by deception. I have also yesterday sought legal advice with a solicitor who states that I have various claims against the party if I would want to take it further.'

So the police are being nudged into investigating the allegations against Collett and Hannam and now also the allegations of theft against the party itself. But this woeful story doesn't end there.

As reported yesterday, the BNP is about to be investigated by the Electoral Commission for not reporting a donation of more than £5000 that it was legally required to report. There is plenty of evidence of the donation - the party made a big deal of it on its tedious BNPtv - so any denials will ring just a little hollow. This curious omission from the accounts and the subsequent investigation is also likely to once again bring up the interesting question of why the main BNP accounts are themselves four months late.

As if all this trouble isn't enough to be going on with, Stop the BNP reports that Labour MP Jon Cruddas has written to the Metropolitan Police Commissioner to demand that they investigate what he believes 'are criminal activities involving senior members of the British National Party'. He also raised the matter in the House of Commons and demanded a full debate.

'Jon Cruddas has asked the police to investigate allegations that the BNP leadership have bugged telephones, houses or computers belonging to their senior members. He also wants them to look into the legality of the removal of property belonging to Councillor Sadie Graham.

It is believed that personal correspondence with her electorate is on the computer that was taken by deception from her house and emails were later inspected by senior members of the BNP. “An example can be found at the website http://www.simondarby.blogspot.com/,” write Cruddas. “Simon Darby is the BNP's Head of Publicity, and Griffin's most senior advisor. Nick Griffin has referred to this email on the BNP's main website.”

Cruddas ended his letter by stating: “As I believe that much of this behaviour is illegal, I write to formally request a police investigation in to the matter.”'

It looks like the floodgates are opening from where I'm sitting...

there are 2 major factors for insanity.one is the brain cannot absorb any information at all.the other is simply the brain becomes that over loaded with information it simply breaks down.
Griffin is the latter his brain has overloaded with information and paranoia and the man is on course for a complete breakdown.
So beware remember wako, texas in the early 90s when david corish and his movement collapsed ? what did he do ? locked the remaining members in a farm building and burnt them alive.so if your thinking of going to a meeting chaired by griffin keep an eye on the exit door.

Floodgates? More like Global Warming levels of dirty water!

I notice that on Stormfront Griffin is now posting saying that he has been trying to reconcile the rebels, has bent over backwards to accomodate them and so forth, but has no choice but to expel them and all who would talk with them because they are now working with Jon Cruddas.

Does the man really believe what he says (in which case he should be on some sort of medication) or is lying so ingrained in his nature that he is the Fascist Right's answer to Tony Blair?

Good, let's do all we can to keep them open. Confidence in Nick Griffin is waning drastically. Let's keep it going.

To cap it all, it would be great if Nick Griffin could be directly linked to causing the Bradford, Oldham and Burnley riots through sworn testimony. Everybody knows there was collusion between the bnp and national front at this time, but it was always difficult to prove.

i'd cross the road to avoid griffin and collett and i used to be a senior member of the party as these scumbags are liers cheats and bullies.

and yet, when collett was himself interrogated that time, (You Tube) he was a wimp.

anyone who accepts griffin's absurd offer of reconcilliation is a cowardly pussy.

Anonymous said...

Reconcilliation my arse.

No dissidents ever wish to speak to this wanker again. We've had enough of your eternal arrogance and lies, you ponce!

He's had his chance, and he's severly blown it.

Fuck off to Croatia, Griffin. You're not wanted here, you slimy twat. Tell that creepy Irving friend of yours to fuck off with you, too!

Anonymous said...

Your BNP is history. I no-longer wish to be associated with such a useless, descredited piece of dog turd.

Anonymous said...

Yes, Griffin's now far more than a lose cannon.

He's well and truly lost the plot... BIG TIME!

Anonymous said...

Stormponce is Griffin's final haven, as his house of cards collapses with a bang. Everyone know knows how that site is censored by griffo and collett, and so everyone takes it with a pinch of salt what's written there.

There will never be a reconcilliation, griffin. We all know that, so stop talking shite!

I can't believe we trusted you.

We must have been insane.

Griffin's final act of narkdom is almost complete, his orders of self-destruct from MI5 are almost at an end, but he has one final surprise in store.

Anonymous said...

Come clean about your relationship with the secret services, griffin, then fuck off into the night.

Anonymous said...

Bet you got a kick from destroying the bnp. griffin.

We'll get an even bigger kick when the police arrest you for a multitude of crimes, most of which the lefties dont even know about.

Mouths will no longer be closed.

Your time is up!

This time, when you're on trial, there won't be anyone supporting you outside.

Quick question, anonymous poster no. 2.

I presume you are talking about the posting on Stormfront by "Purging the Droid" - how do you know this is Griffin?

Answers on the back of a postcard, or preferably posted to this blog.

This is all too funny.

Christmas has come early.

Police ought to interview the staff at the New Kimberley Hotel, as soon as possible, surrounding the child abuse allegations. Witholding information will bring damaging disrepute to the hotel, so the witness statements will have to be thorough.

Grooming is a serious offence punishable by lengthy prison sentences

You can also contact the police and ask for 'AWAKEN' on 01253 293933

The police have stated that even an attempt to have sex with someone under age is a prosecutable offence.

I hate to bore everybody, but the icing on the cake this week is:

Harrow Cannon's ward by-election result (% in brackets):

Con 1,208 (56.7)
Lab 389 (18.3)
LibDem 296 (13.9)
Ind 182 (8.5)
BNP 56 (2.6)

Most people, of course, are unaware of the BNP's travails, so that had no effect on the result. The winning Conservative candidate is an Asian gentleman.

Sorry we didn't cover that more fully, but there's so much else going on.

From the Inverness Courier:

BNP man may sue over sacking

A FORMER Inverness community councillor is considering legal action against the British National Party after he was sacked as the head of the right-wing party's Scottish branch.

Kenny Smith, until last year the vice-chairman of Smithton and Culloden Community Council, was sacked from his post with the BNP with another official after they were accused of criticising party leader Nick Griffin and those close to him on an internet blog.

This week Mr Smith and councillor Sadie Graham from Brixtowe Borough Council in Nottinghamshire, received letters telling them they had been sacked for gross misconduct.

Yesterday Mr Smith insisted he and Ms Graham had not started the "Enough is Enough" website to undermine the BNP but to help improve the organisation.

"We are fighting to remain in the party and we have enormous support for that," he said. "There is a code of conduct and we have not broken that.

"We are entitled to an employment tribunal before any action like this is taken and there is also the possibility of legal action."

Party spokesman Simon Darby said as far as the party was concerned Mr Smith's termination was final but added: "He is entitled to a disciplinary tribunal.

"He may consider suing us but we have been sued by everyone and the party is still here."

While I'm here, there are a number of comments in moderation that we would like to use but can't. It's a shame to spend time penning good comments that can't be used for the want of a simple "alleged" preceding direct accusations or suppositions.

If those whose comments haven't appeared here would like to rephrase them, we'll approve them asap.

I have it on very good authority that Purging the Droid is two different people - Nick Griffin and another. I don't yet know the identity of the stooge who posts when Griffin is appearing elsewhere, in other words a decoy, but trust me when I say this is an absolute fact. Allegedly.

Now there are more "Droids" than an episode of Star Trek Deep Space Nine.

Just how long the censorship on Stormponce can continue, is a matter of debate.

The problem with Stormponce is, it's funded and controlled by wealthy American neo-nazi friends of Griffin.

Friends of "The Beast" are ensuring "The Beast" can censure all opponents with absolute impunity.

Anonymous said...

Simon Darby's such a cocky twat, I cannot see any of the refuseniks returning to the fold. Especially when they will be made to say sorry, as the Griffites will never eat humble pie, 'cos their egos are bigger than their nobs.

Anonymous said...

Rumours today that Griffin and Walker are busy transfering money out of the main account. Can't the members ask for the BNP accounts to be frozen?

Who exactly owns Stormponce?

Too many droids to purge, now's for sure, lol. You can't keep your enemies down eternally.

Griffin and co can't keep on stubbornly sacking anybody of use in the bnp.

Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho!

Good tidings, Nick Griffin's former comrades.

Christmas has come early for anti-racists, but it's come even earlier for Nick's "Swiss Bank Account manager" as he shimmies up your chimney with your party subs and fund investments.

And a merry season of badwill to you all.

Feast your "mince pies" on your bank statements, as before long Ebineezer Scrooge will have syphoned away everyrbody's subs into his "top-secret" Croatia House Building Fund, while "syphoning his python" over the bnp's public credibility.

The BNP name will forever be tarnished with Hitler worship, theft, and (alledged) paedophilia, folks.

So remember, if you want Santa to come early for Griffin, Darby, and Collett, sleep tight, don't look under your mattress, and keep your eyes firmly closed as the bnp leadership raid your mattresses.

"Santa Claws"!

Alledgedly, Green Arsehole was up for a share of the syphoned funds, before Griffin escapes to Croatia.

Anonymous said...

@ john p

Green Sparrow is trying to suck up to Griffin because he foolishly suggested yesterday that Collett might be less than indispensible and Griffin took him to task.

The madness of King Nick really is showing through now, he has withdrawn any thought of reconciliation following Sadie's supposed collusion with Jon Cruddas, a nonsensical allegation which Griffin refuses to substantiate. I give them a week.

They have already lost the plot.

Nick Griffin, Mark Collett and Simon Darby can expect pairs of handcuffs winging their way to their wrists, pretty soon.

Bad news, it's in Zimbabwe.
