More chaos as the BNP's Dirty Tricks Dept goes out of control

As incredible as it may seem, the BNP seems to be encouraging more havoc to break out just as the furore of the past couple of weeks seems to be dying down. As everyone concentrates their attention on Christmas rather than the chaos in the party, Nick Griffin, never the most subtle person on the planet, tweaks the situation by ensuring that those who heckled him during the recent Leeds meeting are expelled from the party over this weekend, thus pretty much ensuring that things will liven up again and making damn sure that the BNP's Leeds contingent will be forever alienated from the party's current leadership.

Now it emerges that someone in the party has been feeding misleading information to the police in an attempt to discredit one of the original four who were kicked out, Sadie Graham's partner and former BNP security deputy Matt Single.

Over the past few days we've seen a number of extraordinary documents displayed on the BNP website - receipts, Word documents, emails and screen captures - all with the intention of convincing unbelievers that the four original rebels were thieves, liars and plotters. Mixed in with all this nonsense were accusations that the dissidents were all 'Reds', neo-nazis and/or Searchlight moles.

All these accusations seem to have stemmed from the higher reaches of the BNP hierarchy - perhaps directly from Griffin himself. Party members who have been around for a few years remember Griffin's lies about the party's founder and previous leader John Tyndall, then the energetic and ruthless purging of Tyndall-supporters left in the party after his takeover - all of them thrown out surrounded by accusations similar to those encountered by the current band of malcontents.

It's hard to remember that it's barely two weeks since the revelations about Sadie Graham, Matt Single, Kenny and Nicholla Smith broke but that two weeks has been fraught with accusation/counter-accusation, revelations of evidence-rigging, bugging and illegal entry, a constant stream of members resigning from party positions and threats of violence and mayhem against the person at the centre of all the recent acrimony in the party, nazi-sympathiser Mark Collett.

But now there is a new revelation and it could be one too far for those members who have been wondering if Nick Griffin's paranoia and desperate grip on power are getting out of hand.

Matt Single, posting on the dissident Enough is Enough blog, has revealed that the home he shares with his partner, the heavily-pregnant Sadie Graham, was raided by police a few days ago and thoroughly searched after someone had suggested that he had a firearm in his possession

'It transpired that the police had received, very recently, from two corroborating informants that I had an illegal firearm in my possession, and that they would be now carrying out a thorough search of the house, all outbuildings and vehicles...it is my belief that whoever had contacted the police had set us up and had a clear and obvious objective; they wanted Sadie and myself as much to experience as much torment and humiliation as possible. Whoever it was has a good knowledge of the law and knew exactly what to say to the police in order to manipulate them into raiding our home. They knew they needed two or more people to substantiate such a claim to lead to a raid and so they would have needed to have used someone else to help them. It would clearly be a person that would know I would have quantities of security training equipment kept at home and I could therefore possibly fall foul of an overlooked law if I were raided by the police that would obviously scrutinise all my equipment.'

Some people in the BNP, already speculating over at the Stormfront nazi forum over who is responsible for this, have suggested Griffin's relatively new and South African-run BNP Intelligence Dept, more commonly known as the Dirty Tricks Dept, but Matt Single seems sure that the responsibility rests with only one person, Nick Griffin. He continues;

'It has come to pass that for years you have bullied, lied to and intimidated people into getting what you want for yourself. You have used tactics including character assassinations, lies and slander to rid yourself of your internal political critics, and those that offer any future threat to your position. This is the reason why you have actively sought to surround yourself with weak-willed sycophants and people who you can easily control and offer no threat to you whatsoever; people like John Walker, Dave Hannam and Mark Collett, even psychologically disturbed characters such as Lee Barnes.'

Whatever else emerges from this debacle, Griffin's position has been severely weakened since all this started. The illegal entry and possible bugging disturbed many prominent members so much that they resigned in sympathy, the release of personal emails on the BNP's own website seemed only to build on this sympathy for the rebels, but this direct attempt to get the police involved will be seen as well beyond any kind of legitimate political attack and will turn the average BNP member against those who are perceived to have organised it. From what we can see from our regular scourings of the far-right sites, the members are sick of all the accusations flying about - in fact one of Stormfront's more pithy contributors put it in a nutshell when responding to a comment that the whole thing smelled very fishy, by saying 'It's all those red herrings the BNP is trailing around'.

We couldn't have put it better ourselves.

The CUNTS website is losing it. When you take a look at their pro-Griffin propaganda, you hear nazi Blood & Honour songs in the background which shatter any supposed modernist aspirations of Nick Griffin.

A whisper I heard last night from somebody usually reliable, watch out for the Tyndallites. They seem quiet but they've been working out the permutations and doing the maths.

A killer blow from left field on the cards?

The more you read about these events and the more you see on the ‘Enough is Enough’ blog, the more you realise that there is no effective ‘rebellion’ within the BNP. The EIE blog now appears to be little more than a forum for individuals to bleat about how unfairly they are being treated and to claim that they are the true supporters and engine of the Party. In one piece, Sadie claims that ‘the fight is far from over’. Problem is that under this very heading, you see that it is. Sadie, dear, for a fight to continue, you actually have to, well, fight.

Astonishingly, for all their rhetoric, the rebels do not directly call for the overthrow of Griffin. It is not sufficient for this to simply be implied; it is blazingly obvious, as it has been from the start, that there is one real problem with one obvious solution – Griffin. Therefore, any rational person would think that a sensible strategy would be remove Griffin as all else follows from that. Yet, bizarrely, even in the so-called five points of the rebels, it is stated that Griffin should remain as political leader!

I’m not sure what the conclusion is from this. Possibly, there is no effective mechanism or procedure for removing Griffin. In addition, there is clearly no possible identifiable successor, no single person behind whom the ‘rebels’ can rally. The latter point is perhaps not too surprising as the typical BNP activist is unlikely to be the most articulate or cerebral of individuals. As a result, Griffin can appear as a polished speaker and advocate even though, if judged by general standards across the board, he is a complete lightweight.

So, what about Griffin’s strategy? I think this is pretty simple. He’s quite prepared to lose a few councillors and let certain regions implode. After all, the BNP really haven’t been able to sustain any genuine headway at the local level. They’ve had many years to build a more sustainable base in some patchy areas but all the evidence is that they’re not up to the mark in terms of maintaining elected posts. Here is a Party, then, with a small amount of local representation with a leadership hungry for greater exposure. Local performance can’t give this to them, hence the willingness to let the regional councillors go if they wish to. Of course, the more substantial prize is the London Assembly. Just a couple of seat here would give Griffin a much higher profile. Automatically, the noises made by the BNP would gain more media coverage that Griffin would, of course, try to highjack, something which shouldn’t be too difficult given the faces in the London BNP. Were the BNP to be successful here (success equals at least one, but more likely two, elected members), Griffin would see this higher profile as a springboard to European elections.

There is some genuine merit in this strategy as the voting systems for the Assembly and Europe certainly give them a much greater chance of success. The message for the opponents of the BNP is therefore clear. Don’t revel in the current situation and assume that this will bring the BNP down. To do that, you have to stop them in London. My bet is that, should they fail here, disillusionment will really set in. Currently, this is a rat bag collection of self-serving individuals. There’s no mutual trust but, rather like crooks, some perceived common interest. Prevent this from coming to fruition, and the natural underlying animosity comes to the fore. The BNP can be seen to be rotten at the core; it’s far from mortally wounded, however.

Or Griffinite disinformation?

Time for a laugh, methinks:

'Who runs the "covert nuissance tactics" website?'

An old mate of Griffin's - Tommy Williams.

Surely that should read 'A killer blow from RIGHT field'?

More than on the cards, methinks. The current rebels, at least 95% of them, were active Griffin loyalists in the recent election. Many, many abstainers have now moved into the 'very concerned about Griffin' camp, and rebels of all sorts will be starting to feel much more confident. All sources were in agreement that Jackson was not a viable candidate to beat Griffin, being more of a tester of the waters. Get a solid candidate who can be relied on to gain wide support from all sections of the BNP (one who has not yet been purged!) and there is every chance of a close run thing in a new leadership contest. Could this be why Saddie and friends are encouraging all their supporters to stay within the BNP fold?

The obvious problem here is finding said candidate. All names that I can think of have been expelled already, or else are Tyndal loyalists with only limited appeal within the party. The only name that I can think of, who could have wide-spread recognition, is not too closely linked to any one particular faction, who is still within the party and who has a definate 'power-base' from which to build (and who has been strangely silent in supporting Griffin of late) is Nick Cass. Other possible candidates, like Mike Easter annd Richard Edmonds, are deidedly 'yesterday's men' and would stand no chance of winning, only further splitting the party, and the modernisers are just about all in the Saddie camp now.

No doubt things will warm up again in the New Year, especially when the police investigations start giving results.

Barnes is threatening to sue DG for an article posted by Antifascist! Can't this pillock read?

Where's this allegation that Barnes has been making death threats?

"I do not have any money to defend myself over any allegations like these by hiring a solicitor, but I am prepared to sue Denise Garside personally and Lancaster UAF and order their ISP provider to hand over the details of anyone making such an allegation on their site."

The idiot needs to sue Google/Blogger to get that info. But the legal giant doesn't seem to realise that.

And he wants to read his own blog again. The pillock's posted so much defamation against DG she's got more chance of winning in a counter claim than Barnes has.

Twonk.

I've had a good look through loads of posts by both myself and Denise and I can't find any mention of Barnes making death threats, not that we'd make such allegations anyway.

'The pillock's posted so much defamation against DG she's got more chance of winning in a counter claim than Barnes has.'

Very true. The man's delusional.

Let him do it Ketlan. It won't cost you or Denise anything AND you get to make any statement you like in the witness box. Should be fun.

You sussed out that BNP morons were trying to entrap you and I can't find anything saying Barnes was making death threats.

He's lost it.

‘The CUNTS website is losing it’

Indeed, you get the impression that the CUNTS website isn't really intended for public consumption. It's starting to get a bit difficult to present the BNP as a supposedly-respectable party and referring people only to the official website when garbage like CUNTS exists online - or Green Arrow for that matter, with his photos of beheaded children. (When you propagate this kind of stuff in order to discredit the so-called enemy you end up discrediting yourself far more because the shock value is much, much too great.) And how is a potential voter supposed to react at seeing a former BNP activist described as 'mixed race scum'? What value are these dreadful blogs to anyone? They ought to be reigned in, or banned altogether..
Anyhow, Ketlan/Denise, your site has been an invaluable resource - especially over these last two weeks, and I would like to wish you the very best for the new year.

Nobody here is going to lose any sleep.

Good for you Denise. I've never read anything here about the div making death threats. If the div does go ahead you have hundreds of witnesses who'll support you and there's tons we can say about Barnes and the BNP.

Choodle is right, blogs are hosted in the States so if he wants to go tracking IP's down he's got to go to an American court.

I only came to say Merry Christmas! So Merry Christmas to Ketlan, Denise and all fellow antifascists.

Ketlan Ossowski (spelling?) - What do people know about this very odd charactor? Allegedly, he has a penchant for some pretty weird stuff. I suppose it could explain his unhealthy obsession for nationalists.

Do I? Not as weird as getting underage girls back to the BNP's conference hotel though, I bet.
