J’accuse! Chairman Griffin rails against his detractors

BNP leader Nick Griffin breaks his silence on the split that is tearing his party apart. David Williams looks at his outburst against the plotters:

Griffin’s appalling lack of judgement has precipitated an internal crisis within the BNP, the magnitude of which has already spiralled beyond his control. Having done so he proceeded to make things worse by simply maintaining a monastic silence whilst his minions scurried too and fro silencing internal debate leaving minor members and voters rather bewildered as to what on earth was going on. Griffin’s failure to provide leadership at this vital time has damaged his authority within the BNP further.

However, in yet another wonderfully ill-judged decision Griffin has now gone on the offensive against the “bitter betrayal” he evidently feels he has suffered.

Griffin lays the blame for this “unpardonable sin of running to wash dirty linen” in public on a small clique of “middle management”. This might be some comfort to his internal enemies who only on Sunday were dismissed as “junior members”. Having been sacked Griffin has now promoted them. How odd. The truth is of course that most of them were senior members of the party who sat on its twenty strong advisory committee. Still Griffin has never been one to let true get in the way of a good lie.

Off on a trip down memory lane Griffin opines how only he knows true pain of self-sacrifice for the cause having once felled trees and stacked shelves whilst leading the BNP in 2001. After Jackie Griffin told the world her husband had never done and honest days work in his life we’d had him marked down as a lazy so and so. To give him his due though, trying to promote race riots in Oldham in 2001 whilst stacking shelves must have been more demanding on his time than we had previously thought.

Ever the martyr Griffin whinges that its “tough at the top” but this ungrateful bunch of malefactors who have it easy have been well paid for doing “what was expected”. In other words, you’ve been paid so shut up. Continuing his astonish rant Griffin states categorically that paid party officials have a “soft ride” and have “no proper checks on expenses claims. No mileage forms or activity sheets to complete. No clocking in. No one holding target setting and review sessions. It was taken on trust.” In short Griffin is openly boasting that under his leadership there has been no internal audit of officials expenses. Where the money comes from and where it goes is it seems of no concern to him. With accountancy procedures such as these the BNP could find itself in dire financial trouble. Oh, wait a minute. It is! No wonder Griffin and his minions have been quick to accuse Kenny Smith of responsibility for the sum of £17,000, which appears to have gone missing. Could this explain why the BNP accounts have not been submitted yet?

And yet, and I’m trying not to laugh whilst typing this, Griffin has the chutzpah to accuse his detractors of trying orchestrate a “palace coup” against him because he was trying to bring their cushy little number to a close!

I must be missing something here. I thought that Sadie Graham and Kenny Smith not to mention Ian Dawson were expelled precisely because they had questioned the financial competence of the Treasury team and indeed the honesty of publicity director Mark Collett.

Clearly Griffin still subscribes to Goebbels’ dictum that if you’re going to tell lies tell a Big Lie. And this one, even by his standards of dishonesty is a whopper.

Griffin has the honesty at least to admit that he wasn’t “blameless” for the splits that tore the National Front apart in the 1980s. He even states that he and Martin Wingfield can “laugh” about it now. One wonders if he found it quite so funny at the time when Nick Griffin said some truly appalling things about both Wingfield and his wife. We remember Martin, do you? And if you do one has to ask, where’s your self respect? That’s your wife he was talking about!

In a final lie before returning to the theme of how bright the future looks Griffin remarks on an e-mail Sadie Graham appears to have sent to Steve Blake which he uses as evidence of a conspiracy to “prove” that Sadie is a “wrong ‘un” who sought to paint his beloved Dave Hannam in an unfair light. In truth all she did was to stop taking the flak for his mistakes by covering for his incompetence anymore. Fair enough you might think.

The emerging rival BNP faction – those that Griffin hasn’t already expelled – was appalled by their chairman’s diatribe against them. Ian Dawson responded for them stating that the “betrayal” was his not theirs. It was his utter failure to deal with the real problem i.e. the financial incompetence of the Treasury and the obnoxious wrecking ball personality of Nazi boy Mark Collett that had brought them and the BNP to this impasse.

Dawson threw Griffin’s words back at him. His claim that they were trying to stage a coup was “a fiction of your imagination” when in fact all they had done was to protest against the BNP being run as “a little boys club” for which they were hounded out by “your South African Intelligence Department” led by Lance Stewart.

Far from them giving succour to “Communist thugs” it was Griffin who had done so by allowing Collett the freedom to parade his noxious views and low mentality in front of TV audiences time and time again. He also pointed out Griffin’s hypocrisy for airing his own dirty linen in public. After all shortly after Chris Jackson’s failed leadership challenge didn’t Griffin label the 10% of the BNP that supported Jackson were “vermin”?

Hitting back at Griffin’s “pathetic” claim that his minions were all well paid for their work Dawson stated that he earned £14,000 a year from the party, a rather stingy salary by anyone’s recognisance which precluded incidentals such as mileage etc. Dawson also claimed that working 70 hours a week plus (considerably more than Griffin no doubt) was not a “soft ride”.

Dawson’s parting shot was to ask after Griffin’s henchman gained entry to Sadie Graham’s home by deceiving her friend and fellow BNP organiser Nina Brown to steal her computer “how any BNP member or Official could ever trust you again.” Given his track record of vicious sectarianism, dishonesty and dissimulation we find it hard to believe that any of them believed Griffin in the first place.

Stop the BNP

I find it interesting that the current defence of Mark Collett is so often that he is a good graphic designer. Even if this is true, the services of a halfway decent designer are relatively easy to obtain. Now I speak as a graphic designer myself, and certainly wouldn't disrespect the profession. But to defend Collett, a total embarrassment who brought the BNP into disrepute in 2002 for his performance in 'Young, Nazi and Proud' (for which he was forced to resign at the time as head of YBNP), on the basis that he's a halfway competent designer, is like defending him because he can drive a van or operate a printing press.

For example - in his post on enough-is-enough at 2.30 pm today – Martin Wingfield referred to the high quality of the new London leaflet (which is pretty impressive, if you haven't seen it). This is actually closely based on the leaflet that was successfully circulated in Barking and Dagenham in the 2006 local elections.

Now I would be extremely surprised if this leaflet was Collett's original creation. And if all he did was manage the layout, well, any competent layout artist could have done this. It certainly isn't worth the high price of having this arrogant arsehole (who is now so unpopular he should go in any case) near the very top of the party.

Perhaps Griffin spent the £17,000 on laptops, phones and bugging devices?

Don't get carried away the leaflet its okay but it is far from stunning nor is it revolutionary.

The "people like you voting BNP" section is not eye catching it has a basic boxy formula that is funereal in its layout.

Room for improvement.

It's so nice to see Martin Wingfield sticking by his master.

Griffin on Wingfield

"Wingfield's "Mr. Nice Guy" image conceals an arrogant self-importance and lust for power of shocking proportions"

I wonder why Wingfield forgave him? Or, may be he hasn't :)

Dear A.,

Further to your text of yesterday I have received from another source the below transcript of a taped (tapped?) conversation between anti-Griffin plotters, who have now, it seems, been purged.

As you say in your text:

"Resignations and expulsions now coming thick and fast following the departures of Sadie Graham and Kenny Smith. It is kicking off big time. Caligula has gone too far".

I'm not sure how the below transcripted conversation, posted on the BNP web site, which covers the setting up of a Blogspot in a way that attempts to prevent a trace on its contributors, is proof of High Treason against Caligula. My informant links this activity in with the "Spies R Us" blogspot. No doubt that is the damning link. I'm not too sure of the in-depth background to all this.

I note that in the introduction to the transcript the BNP web site mentions that Sadie Graham and Kenny Smith have been purged from the BNP, but no mention is made of Matt Single, the other contributor to the transcripted conversation. Has he been expelled too, or do I take it that it was he who taped the conversation and supplied it to Griffin? Who is Matt Single? "Single" sounds to me like an invented surname.

I note that (Griffin's) introductory statement refers to:

".......our Intelligence team -- headed by Lance Stewart, a long-standing British nationalist and a former high-ranking officer in the South African Police........"

Do I take it that "Lance Stewart" is in fact Arthur Kemp, who has joined the BNP's administrative staff about a year ago, and who was once a 'spook' with the South African police?

Can you (and/or Tony and/or anybody else) phone or e-mail me with any background info you may have on any of this?

One thing seems to be certain: if the BNP is convulsed with these kinds of shenanigans; if Griffin is having to set up "intelligence" and "security" agencies to safegurd his position, then the BNP cannot be a happy ship.

These goings-on rather remind me of the disruptive events within the National Front involving Griffin -- not only in the year before my departure from that party in December 1983, but in the two or three years afterwards.

Griffin's power-mad paranoia and predilection for exposing conspiracies to justify further purges and further splits, culminated in his quite mad booklet entitled something like: "The Plot Against the Party", the paranoid and mendacious contents of which were comprehensively demolished in a review by Tom Acton.

I think the text of Griffin's nutty booklet has been digitised somewhere. Do you know anybody who has this on file? It would repay study in the context of this situation.

As you know, thanks to Griffin's antics, the NF experienced a nervous breakdown, the party disintegrated, and Griffin went off to help a gang of Italian crooks and "Catholic Counter-Reformationist" loonies set up the International Third Position freak show.

He left the ITP under a "financial maladministration" cloud, frittered-away a £300,000 bequest from his grandfather, became a bankrupt, and finally inflicted himself on John Tyndall's BNP, posing as a National Socialist hardliner. The rest is history, as recountrd from time to time in my Electronic Loose Cannon bulletins.

Regards,

Martin.

NORTH MAN EXPELLED BY BNP OVER WEBSITE

08:50 - 12 December 2007

A former vice-chairman of an Inverness community council has been expelled from the British National Party, it emerged yesterday.

Kenny Smith, a community council member for Smithton and Culloden until last year, has been sacked as the far-right party's Scottish regional organiser and head of administration.

Party chiefs who fired Mr Smith accused him on their website of "creating and setting up a treasonous blogspot designed to attack and smear fellow party officials".

They have also sacked the party's group development officer, Sadie Graham.

It follows the setting up of the Enough is Enough website, which calls for three party members to be ejected.

A transcript and audio clip alleged to be of a conversation between Mr Smith, Ms Graham and colleague Matt Single discussing setting up the Enough is Enough website, is posted on the BNP's own website.

The BNP refused to say how it got the transcript.

But last night Mr Smith, who is originally from Lewis and now lives in Falkirk, claimed the party is in meltdown, with the collapse in support for leader Nick Griffin in five regions, and six members of the advisory council having recently left.

A BNP spokesman refused to comment last night.

Oh, absolutely agreed. This leaflet will not be displayed in the Design Museum in 20 years time. But its predecessor did the business in Barking and Dagenham, and this one is attracting plenty of enquiries too.

If you've seen it you'll know why.
It's the basic Londoners then and Londoners now idea (and personally I doubt whether this idea was Mark Collett's). Of course, this type of idea doesn't resonate at all among left-wing types, but it sure as hell grabs potential BNP supporters. So its boxy or funereal qualities do not matter so much - although I do agree with you that it is not an example of anything like great design - far from it.

As long as Griffin's the slightest way connected to the bnp im never gonna return.

come around to my house, threaten me and my family with your thugs, and ill go the police.

Nick Griffin's an MI5 Nark, put there by the spooks to destroy the party.

Anonymous said...

Still no mention about the resignations and sackings in the tabloids despite the supposed allegations of a "liberal media wanting to destroy the bnp".

What fucking bullshit. The only "forces" out to destroy the bnp are griffin and collett.

Nick Griffin's bnp are no-longer newsworthy.

With no chance of ever getting any mps in parliament, the media no longer gives a shit what happens to this party of nobodies.

So much for Collett's job as "publicity manager". What a complete waste of money on Nazi Boy's salary for turning the bnp into yesterdays news.

Anonymous said...

Instead of communicating with his members griffin galavanted away to Oxford debating societies with holocaust deniers.

Shows how much the snobbish loser doesn't give a shit about anyone other than himself.

This will never die down. Yes, the bnp is your baby. You will always be in charge of the bnp, until the day you die, which is what you want, but without your soldiers and powerbreakers, you will always be a nobody.

Anonymous said...

griffin will never resign from the bnp.

his ego wouldn't allow it.

Anonymous said...

You're a wanker, Griffin. Just like Collett.

Anonymous said...

In Brinsley, Nottinghamshire recently a Sri Lankan family was cleansed from the area by thugs throwing bricks through the families windows. They happened to live next door to Sadie Graham.

Let's not forget, the fascists who are now independent of the bnp must still be treated with extreme caution. Just because they now know the truth about griffin doesn't mean they are anything less than scum.

John P said...

Well it's up to 38 people who have resigned their posts in the bnp.
Councilors, fund holders, organisers and advisory council members.

From this to this, yes thats been used tons of times from the NF to JTs BNP and probably befoe that too. But that is the content not the design. And the idea was not Colletts

Anonymous said...

a warning is absolutely right. Sadie Graham and her hate-filled crew are still little more than fascist BNP scum: parasites on our society, misfits, sycophants, liars and secret Odinist Hitler worshippers.

They are just as dangerous to our country and society as any Griffinite.

If anything, they all need to be fought with equal vigour and valour.

All this infighting between the BNP neanderthals really shows that there is no unity amongst these so called 'nationalists'. It always periodically erupts. If, nationalism somehow symbiotically unites people, then there wouldn't be this pedantic infighting amongst the BNP morons.

Goes to show how much a fiction 'nationalism' is and how empty the BNP slogan, 'for Race and Nation', is: pointless, child-like rhetoric.

But, then again I'm more than happy to see the losers in the BNP waste away their lives in pursuit of something that doesn't exists and to gratify their passions and hates. It's a pity that most of them will only realise their mistakes on their deathbeds. Glad it will not be me!

Anonymous said...

Maybe Griffin is angry with Sadie Graham because she ate all the pies at the last RWB piss up? Just putting a plausible explanation out there people.

Anonymous said...

Even the Green Arrow is calling for Colletts removal on his latest blog.

Griffins position looks shajier by the day, with his erstwhile proxy mouthpiece now echoing EisE request how can he protect little Mark anymore?

Griffin is alienating himself from even up till now close buddies. Nick and Mark must have a very special relationship indeed

Anonymous said...

Isn't anyone curious as to why this hasn't made the news? Or, why is it the Guardian keep writing nice stories about Simone Clarke?

The BNP is owned by the state

Anonymous said...

I wonder what Sadie Graham's first policy for the 'Real BNP' will be? The repatriation of all white South Africans? Perhaps for white South African immigrants to the UK, she can replace the citizenship test with an eavesdropping test – how to f**k up your fellow racial nationalists.

BNP = Bastards, Nobodies, Ponces. There’s no difference between Nick ‘The One-Eyed Pig Farmer from Wales’ Griffin and Sadie ‘I ate all the pies’ Graham. What a bunch of pretentious gits.

Anonymous said...

Instead of peddling hatred and insecurity in society, instead of joining the bnp, these vitrealic racist losers should have done something useful in their wasted lives, like joined a "meals on wheels" service, helped out an an allotment, or joined the St John's Ambulance to save lives, would surely have been a more rewarding pasttime.

I don't know about whether racists feel remorse for ruining lives. Maybe some of them find religion in a "road to Damascus" sort of way, which is humbling, and to be congratulated, but the past poster was indeed right, most will die on their deathbeds as fruitless, depressed, unfulfilled people, unable to love themselves, let alone others.

Anonymous said...

Indeed! Saving lives with emergency ressusitators with St John Ambulance is far more rewarding than spending all your free time handing out dishonest leaflets about mosque building, asylum seekers, and council house waiting lists.

Don't know if followers of Odin believe in karma, or does "(the fictionally distorted) god of race war" believe by causing misery and suffering to people with darker skin, provide you with rewards in the afterlife?

Those bnp members who are also christians surely believe in the concept of the final judgement and heaven and hell.

"They were black and Asian creatures, and not members of the ayran race, God", the BNP member will utter spitefully, still wrought with ignorance and hate while they are cast down into the pit of demons with more murderous fellow fascists.

Anonymous said...

To continue the religious theme:

It must be fun to see a sour-minded bnp racist taking their last breath in their hospital bed, shitting themselves in nervous anticipation, fearing they will be tortured in hell for an eternity, the unforgiveable sin of race hatred.

"Love thy neighbour".......

Until you're on death's door, it's not too late to make a change, however.

Now the bnp is collapsed, log off the sick and evil Stormfront website, change your lives around, and accept that all human beings are made equal, regardless of race, religion, and nationality, and you'll be a much happier person, and be at ease, not just with others, but yourself.

Anonymous said...

I'd love to see Nick Griffin's "final judgement" at the gates of hell, lol. He's likely to blame everybody but himself for his racism.

Cretins like him give dishonesty a bad name.

The London Leaflet was raised at last weeks B & D Assembly and after much questioning on it Rustem admitted that they had lied on their leaflet..........this will of course be in the minutes of the meeting, and on the next Labour leaflet, and any other leaflet we can get out.

Anyone come up with good headline.

Just managed to catch up on eie, can i please reassure all readers here that there is no way on Gods earth that the diva dicky barnbrook wrote that very lengthy comment.

Its not just that he is a drunk and couldnt see the keys, he cant spell, he cant read, he cant put 2 words together let alone a sentance.

i dont know who wrote it but it was not DD.

Also it was interesting to read that the BNP councillors in B & D will be making a statement before the weekend, and assuring eie that Dicky does not speak for all of them.

Gosh things could get really interesting in B & D.
