Councillor could be forced out of BNP

A Dewsbury councillor may be expelled from the British National Party after offering his support to an internal rebellion. But Dewsbury East councillor Colin Auty, who was elected in the May 2006 elections, said ongoing party issues would not affect his work in the ward.

He said: "At the moment I'm just carrying on doing what I do, the vast majority of which is ward work. It won't interfere with anything else. I'll just carry on."

Mr Auty, whose term ends in 2010, was one of more than 60 party members to add his name to a blogging website set up by a group using the name The Real BNP. It called on party leader Nick Griffin to reinstate six expelled party members, create a formal management system and eject two BNP members that they felt were damaging the party.

At the weekend a post on the official BNP website said there would be an amnesty for members to withdraw their support for the rebels, with the promise that their 'misguided low level involvement in this whole regrettable affair will be discounted and their prior positions and good standing restored'.

Two weeks ago Mr Auty was also at a regional party meeting in Leeds which reportedly descended into chaos after fighting allegedly broke out between some members. On Sunday an anonymous post on the Real BNP blog said members who had heckled Mr Griffin at the meeting had been sent letters expelling them from the party. But Mr Auty, whose name remains on the website, said he has not received any letters or other communication telling him he has been expelled.

He said: "At this stage I don't know what's happening. I haven't received anything yet. There were certain people that have had a letter for what they termed disrupting a meeting. As regards to the so-called rebels I don't know anyone who has had a letter from that. I just voiced what I believed were my own concerns. I stand by what I feel is right for the voters more than anything else. I'm here for the public and if I believe they would have concerns then that makes me have concerns. One thing I've said with politics is I'll call it as I see it.

"I think it's really important that even if you have issues with your own party you have got to be honest. It's up to people like myself. If I believe there's something wrong within my own party, it's up to us to make things better and to be listened to."

On Monday the rebel website posted a message to say it would no longer be commenting on internal issues and called on the leadership to drop the threats of expulsion.

Whilst I enjoy watching the BNP self destruct I think that the UAF may be in danger of becoming a tad complacent.

YUP - BNP councilors and Officials and 'organisers' may be voting with thier feet.

But at the end of the day whilst BNP members may treat Griffen and his chums as scum, those BNP Members have not denied thier core attitude.

The FACISTS are still out there.

Forget this at your peril.

Do we need a reformed BNP, without Collett, Griffin & co destroying thier own organisation ?

AUTY is still an elected Councillor until 2010.

FSID!!!

What a fecking joke. The BNP wouldn't understand democracy if it slapped them in the face and, party members certainly don't have freedom.

'Whilst I enjoy watching the BNP self destruct I think that the UAF may be in danger of becoming a tad complacent.'

I can assure you and all our supporters that Lancaster UAF is far from complacent about this whole fiasco - in fact a group of us were talking earlier about the possible ramifications of the past three weeks and wondering if we are facing the formation of a new group of fascists, forming a group running parallel to the BNP, and whether that would result in one or other of them becoming more hardline far-right or less (at least on the surface), or, if the rebellion just fizzled out, whether or not Griffin would take a harder line himself, to satisfy the currently unhappy far-right nutjobs in the ranks.

While we welcome any chaos in the BNP and are happy to stir as much as we possibly can, we always have an eye on the possible outcomes.

All of these people who have resigned, have simply resigned their posts - that's all. They are still members of the BNP and, like it or not, they will still be active in their branches and regions.

The fight hasn't ended, and anyone who thinks it might, even if Griffin, Collett, Hannam and the rest were all kicked into the gutter where they belong, is deluding themselves.

I don't see complacency in this blog Old Sailor, just LUAF giving the pot a stir, but LUAF and you are going to end up with whatever the BNP becomes and there ain't much to do about it.

While there's a BNP or BNP like organisations there's a fight against fascism, end of. Cross bridges when you come to them?

If this goes the distance it'll set them back years on top of the ground they already lost this year. That's priceless to all antis

Back on topic, I wonder how this affects Auty's relationship with Hannam and GWR.

I sort of can't see Auty and Hannam doing a duet

Whilst i do appreciate the comment about us not becoming complacent i believe that as a "community" on this blog we have enough strength and wit to take on whatever comes out of the bnp bun fight.

Auty a prime example of a 'fencesitter' i do hope he suffers with piles.

As I've said from the beginning, the best case scenario is split, split split, fight, fight, fight, but with Griffin and Collett staying put.

There's been lots of claims they are state assets, I don't know about that, but I do know they are assets to our struggle.

Without such incompetent losers the BNP might actually be making significant gains, like the far right have done elsewhere in Europe.

The last thing we need is a credible nazi movement in this country, so I say again, what we need is split, split split, fight, fight, fight, but with Griffin and Collett staying put.

Doesn't this nowhere period between Christmas and New Year drag on?

Anyhow, a couple of nuggets that may indicate Griffin has more on his plate than he thinks for.

On Chris Hill's blog a "midland organiser" begs the rebels to show "direction", and on EiEN somebody calling him/herself "SW official" says:

"There are a number of us in the south-west aching for you to show some leadership and start bringing things together. Please start asap, or this thing is going to disappear like clearing fog."

What is interesting about the comment by the "midland orgsniser" is that he/she doesn't mention Collett and Hannam, but Griffin:

"I daren't resign as Organiser. If I do our branch will fall straight into the hands of the few who are still Griffinite, who will have their paws on all our assets."

And:

"There are a lot of confused people here who need decisive leadership. They need to know that this has a good chance of succeeding. If they get it we can deliver more of the Midlands, but if they don't branches like ours will stay loyal (on the surface anyway).

"The impediment here is Darby, though we haven't heard much from him recently, apart from a phone call. As you know, Darby is superficially affable and persuasive, and that's why we need to get it together before he gets around the region to talk to the members."

Although I have no way of knowing, I have the sense that this organiser is somewhere in the west or western Midlands rather than near Graham's turf.

If any trust can be placed in these comments, then it does seem that an idea of what has happened has filtered down to the general membership, and that at least a proportion of them are wise to Nick Griffin.

Collett and Hannam, or are you referring to some other nuggets?

If you look at the clues the crisis is clearly getting worse, rather than better, for Griffin.

Just look at Daffy Duck (allegedly Collett) on stormfront, I think he's posted at least a dozen times that the rebellion is over, and everyones come back to the fold.

Of course if the rebellion was over then you wouldn't have to make a dozen posts, because it would be over, and there would be nothing to post about, you only have to post that many times when it's far from over.

The guys posting is increasingly desperate, and desperation spells chaos in the ranks.

The guy is an obvious idiot, but if he were not he'd realize that every post he makes, whilst claiming one thing, is actually signaling the complete opposite.

I hope Griffin keeps his word, and makes that fool the leader one day, because then our job would get even easier.

Intelligence, and political savvy, are not his strong points.

"The disgusting actions of this handful of egotistic, money-grabbing band of traitors will never be forgotten."

I like the little comment above from Collett on Stormfront. In BNP speak it means people are donating to the rebels and not the BNP. No one in their right mind should donate to the BNP.

My appologies - if needed - but I will maintain that a British NSP aka BNP has got to be kept under control.

Resigning from office is one thing, but they are still "NUTZIE" councillors.

The FACISTS are still out there.

Forget this at your peril.

It's 23.30 hrs in Old South Wales, give me 24 hrs and the Bardic Sprites may alow me to speak in tongues.

Incidently my late father was one of the first British troops into Belson in 1945. He was still suffering with what he saw up to his death in 2001.

That's what I get. This has sunk down further than anybody realises. I thought the branch you were talking about was Coventry, but I now think it's Birmingham because I get info from them and a lot of them don't think Griffin and God are the same thing.

More info on the south west would be welcome.

Our organiser Lee has gone for Griffin, but that doesn't mean the members do. He just updates the blog. We haven't had a meeting, just Lee making our minds up.

Hi old sailor, as well as this blog it seems we have another thing in common, my late father too was one of the first british troops into Belsen.

He never spoke to any of us about it not even our mother, we would never have known but for the film that was run on TV some years ago, i looked at the screen and said to my mum i know that face it was my Dad that evening was the one and only time in his life he spoke about it. What he told us was enough to give me nightmares for a few weeks, but he lived with those nightmares in silence.
He then went on to do an incredibly dangerous job in civvy street following the war which at times would have given him additional heartache, but not a word.
That is the true strength of character - he fought his nazis with guns and bullets, i continue his fight with words.

There another one on the Enough blog

Great, you've had a baby, congraultations, but let's get back to the real world of politics please.

Remember you're dealing with one of the most ruthless men ever to disgrace British Nationalism. If you or anybody else expects fairness or honour, forget it. Give into the urge to compromise and yuo will be destroyed, and deservedly so.

Griffin has to go and you know it.

So stop pussyfooting around and do it!

Pissed off South-East fundholer.

They're all wary of saying exactly where they are. Not a surprise.

I wish new years day would get out of the damn way and we could get back to daily posts and updates. I'm missing the activity on this blog terribly.

Can't wait to get back to normal, Spudulike.

If Chris Hill is to be believed the New Year could be a busy time:

After speaking to one of our West Yorkshire councillors this morning, It seems that rather than dying down as Nick Griffin was hoping, the pressure for change in the party will be gaining even more momentum very early in the New Year. But I don’t want to take the wind out of anyone’s sails, so I’ll say no more.

Anonymous said...

I can appreciate the point of wishing the New Year out of the way so that we can get stuck in, i cant wait to see what the woolly rebels will do next.

Can i suggest that we all meet here at 1 minute past 12 midnight tomorrow with a glass in hand sing Auld Lang and then get stuck in.

Just a quick note, do you think it is at all possible that the men in white coats have been and took Barnes away, i know its christmas but a nutter like that would never be as quiet as he has been over the last couple of days, unless of course its been enforced. ALLEGEDLY.

Partner and self will be at a dance, but we'll raise a non-alcoholic glass to LUAF, Ketlan, and all good people everywhere.

Post comments anyway, they'll be moderated by whoever gets here first.

Happy New Year!

I don't want to sound like a Griffinite troll, but the rebels do appear to be more handcore white supramacist than the bnp leadership.

Looking at the rebel's almanac, the "Northwest Nationelist blog", one post referred to a story from the Sun newspaper showing working class shoppers scrambling for bargains at the New Years sales.

The blog's article referred to the shoppers as "negroes", and suggested in no uncertain terms that non-white people were instinctively savages, which is far more racist than you see on official bnp websites.

Also, one of the regular posters n that pureile blog calls themselves "FINAL SOLUTION", which can only refer to the holocaust.

Unknown said...

Northwest Nationalists is nothing to do with the rebels.

Pete Barker is a long-time enemy of Griffin who will jump at any chance of doing him down.

In the remote case that your intent was to spread the Griffin line on here, you should know that we don't care.

Griffinite, rebel or Tyndallite, they all spell "fascist" to us.

I wonder if Griffin is ready for this, looks like its going to be a brilliant start to the New Year for us.

Enjoy yourself at the dance tonight Denise, we will raise our glasses to you and yours.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Apparently, many of Pete Barker’s fellow nutzis consider him to be a police/MI5 informer. Here’s an old posting on Pete Barker from Stormponce entitled, ‘Beware of Barker’:

“It seems that nationalists have finally exposed a wrong un.
For months I have tried to expose Peter Barker from Rochdale (I won’t give his full address here), who was one of the original members of the cause, but who has sold his soul. The evidence is clear. During the Oldham BNP general election campaign a collection raised almost £1500 but when I approached Barker he refused to contribute. However, he did take a photograph of me, which later appeared in Searchlight Magazine. He has constantly denounced any form of nationalism that has become successful. His rantings have been published on another forum, which, quite rightly, the moderators of this forum don’t wish to advertise. Barker has many, many delusions of grandeur. He claimed he was the ex-organiser of Oldham and Rochdale BNP. Wrong! He was never the official organiser but merely a contact and that is why he still retains the Rochdale BNP e-mail address but he refuses to turn over any message sent to this address to the Rochdale organiser. I know because I created an e- mail address and pretended to be an enquirer hoping to join the BNP. I never received a response and the true Rochdale organiser wasn’t sent the relevant details of this ‘new’ enquirer. He continually uses his keyboard to create as much division as he can. He has recently denounced Chris Jackson by writing on the other forum that he is on some kind of payroll. His brother, Chris, was a convicted heroin dealer who died when he overdosed on heroin he bought from Pakistani's and yet he continues to believe that his brother was killed by the government. A number of years ago, a close friend of his needed both Barker and his father to give evidence, which could have stopped him from going to prison. Both Barkers refused to attend court. I have spent a lot of time arguing with Barker which has been a waste of my time. I am sure many of this forums members have had personal dealing with Barker and because I am writing a portfolio of Barkers activities I welcome any nationalists comments”.

Let’s hope that the nutzis destroy each other.
