County/local election results here

Any info regarding the county or local elections to be relayed via the comments section to this post, thanks. :-)
__________________________________

A long night and day of County Council election results has seen the BNP fail dismally in its quest to ride the wave of public discontent.

As we publish, the BNP has gained only three county council seats nationwide after more than 600 declarations. For the BNP, Nick Griffin's "perfect storm" never happened, and currently the BNP leader is feverishly reining in his members' expectations. Griffin and deputy Simon Darby talked up those expectations, but now fear the consequences should disillusion set in as the scale of the party's failure dawns on the membership.

Expectations for the Euro elections, to be counted on Sunday, have been quickly revised. Whereas previously BNP leaders were happy to encourage the idea that the party could gain seven MEPs the new leadership line is that the election of just one BNP MEP will count as success.

Whichever way the BNP want to look at it, to gain that one MEP will have cost the racist organisation proportionately more in money, time and effort than that expended by any other party. If they fail, then they will be forced to content themselves with the three most expensive county councillors in recorded history (as Nick Griffin might put it).

However, we're not going to count our chickens before they're hatched and Sunday's results might yet yield a nasty surprise or two. - DG

So far they have Sharon Wilkinson in Burnley and Graham Partner in Coalville wherever that is.

Good idea separating this off from that article.

Just read that Pat Richardson, the BNP's token Jew, came second with 21%.

Just popping out for some choccie biscuits I suspect this will be a long night.

Over 300 councillors already elected and from what I can see the BNP have got 2 and lost their disturbed "Jewish Councillor"

So far 1 councillor out of 300

This quiet revolution is screaming decibels

Isn't she still a borough councillor? If so, they're plus two.

'its the euros that are the important ones these are just a side show'

Not really. As County Councils consume nine-tenths of our council tax, they're pretty important.

Im happy to stand corrected regarding Richardson, but can she be a councillor twice?

She was the candidate for Waltham Abbey yesterday

perhaps I need to brush up on my council politics.

So 2 out of 300 heh?

And they were so confident in Essex

Griffins losing his bottle, announcing that any improvment over the last Euro results is a win. What happened to all the bullshit about seven Euro seats?

irishtony said...

Just posted by Griffin on the BNP website

I FEEL A BEGGING LETTER IS COMING!!!

Despite these fine results, Mr Griffin urged BNP supporters not to be over-optimistic. “We have faced the most staggering anti-BNP campaign ever in the media,” Mr Griffin said.

“This time they have not only used smears, but outright lies in some of the largest media outlets in the country, including The Times, The Daily Mail, The Sun and others,” he said. “The media has the power to influence elections, and this barrage of fabrications, sometimes employing outright forgeries of leaflets, statements and misrepresentation, is bound to have had an effect somewhere.”

Mr Griffin said the BNP was looking to substantially increase its national vote and presence, and the first batch of County Council seats are the first step forward in this regard.

“However, there is still a long struggle ahead to overcome the media’s lies about the BNP, and for that reason all BNP supporters must be cautious against over-optimism. We will be glad to improve upon the 4.9 percent we polled in the 2004 European elections. Everyone must bear that figure in mind as our starting base,” Mr Griffin said.

“One must also not underestimate the medium and long-term implications of the collapse in Labour’s vote in many areas, which holds great potential for the BNP,” he said.

* In the Hastings County Council elections, where the BNP has never before stood, the party polled an average of 10 percent yesterday, a tribute to the team under organiser Nick Prince.

Thanks Denise G to pointing out the stupidity and bare-faced lies of BNP rep, Wayne McDermoot.

McDermott is credited by the BNP as one of the "election supremos", and has helped steamroll several BNP victories in the Midlands.

Now his lies and puerile utterances reveal him to be a man of straw and pathetic posturings.

First he claims that he's going to win the seat, then has to backtrack and claim that he's somehow neck-and-neck with the Tories.

Of course, the reality -even for boneheads like McDermott - is that he has failed - and so has his party.

Since Bonehead McDermott has now so dismally failed and shown up to be liar and propagandist, maybe his fuhrer Griffin will kick himk into touch and stab him in the back as clearly his use to him and the BNP has long since gone by its sell-by date.

BNP leader Nick Griffin said taking the Lancashire seat was a an important win for the party.
"We're very pleased with that because growing in British politics is about being on the ladder and we've already taken seats at the lowest levels of local government and county council is a level we hadn't got to," he said.
"It would be problematic to win a huge number of seats in one go - we're not experienced at that level of government. To grow steadily and get on this rung of the ladder is important."

Political spin at its all time lowest methinks.

what a great day

Yes, if they fail they will need excuses as Irish tony points out. Yesterday Griffin emailed about 'Labour crooks' at polling stations who would vote on behalf of non-attendees. He even got bods to promise to attend the poll as late as possible (would be great if they got caught up somewhere and missed the deadline)

Just hoping that the NW stands firm and keeps him out.

Whatever happens there has been a great concerted effort against them and long may that continue.

“One must also not underestimate the medium and long-term implications of the collapse in Labour’s vote in many areas, which holds great potential for the BNP,” - Nick Griffin

No, idiot. There's very little potential there I think most people will turn to Conversatives mainly and others to Greens and Lib Dem.

So. All these years of Griffin attempting to make the party more respectable and electable, all marketing and spin has not amounted to very much at all. Pathetic.

As usual Griffin plays the victim and points the finger of blame at the media. Yeah right.

We shall see about the European Election results.

I was wondering if there might be a way of using the results from the local elections to forecast the results of the European ones?

I wonder how normal it is for people to only vote for 1 party?

I had 3 crosses to place. All of them for 1 party. My girlfriend does the same.

If that's the norm then I wonder how many people vote for The BNP in the local elections and also in the European ones?

If we have a count of the BNP votes in the local elections... hang on... thinking as I type now.

I had two local election votes, so does that count as 2 votes in the results?

Before the election to cheer myself up I wrote this piece. sorry for copying and pasting it and you dont have to post it but it tickled me. And its starting to come true!!!

Euro Elections The Aftermath.

Six months have passed since the 2009 European elections and very little has changed

Its a far cry from the days of the BNP celebrating about their marginal success with their leader Nick Griffin narrowly winning a seat. We still laugh at their victory cries.
"Our time is coming"
" Nick will save our country soon"
"This is only the beginning"
""The BNP are on the world map now"

Yes I can just see cartographers the world over waking up and going
"Fuck me where did they come from?".

But six months later the reality is kicking in. Richard Barnbrook the BNP's only GLA member has been suspended for 6 months for fabricating lies to boost his popularity. Nick Griffin is living in Croatia and trying to convince BNP members he is needed on European mainland in order to not just save Britain but Europe. New requests for funds are needed as the fight to stop the Muslim invasion has taken on a whole new direction.

Simon Derby has been demoted for questioning the audit trail of Nicks new found income. Mark Collet is now the new BNP deputy leader and members are fighting amongst themselves and creating new parties and new divisions.

The BNP's accounts are published showing serious financial mismanagement. Griffin quickly blames his own staff and a series of purges begin.

A general election was called one month after the euro elections but the BNP had no money to contest this election as all their funds were siphoned off for wages, expenses and leaflets for their failed euro elections. They managed a paltry 1% of the vote

A sweeping Conservative election win spelt the end of the BNP and saw members rejoining the national Front in their tens!.

But still Stormfront the openly nazi website gets comments from hard line BNP members, telling each other that "Nick will save us". "Nick will save the country"

The final nail in the coffin for the BNP was when Lee Barnes the BNP,s legal maestro attempted to redecorate his office using party funds. Members were outraged to find their donations to a fund called "the Truth Office" went straight to Barnes LLBHons medical bills and his office was a public phone box in Hull East Yorkshire.

In his defence Lee Barnes LLBHons solicitor, barrister and legal council for the BNP claimed he unaware that painting the phone box himself was an illegal act as it was Government property.

"This is typical of the Marxist Liberal Commie PC brigade that are destroying our great country. A country that I and my fellow nationalists have worked hard to save" Barnes LLBHons and legal maestro for the BNP was heard to say in the courtroom.
" But you don't work Mr Barnes" The Judge replied. "You are unemployed and claiming benefits"

"And that M'Lord Justice, Sir Mister Judge was the reason I was redecorating my office" Barnes replied. " I was trying to get back to work and show the world what a legal eagle I am"

Nick Griffin was unavailable for comment but deputy leader Collett said

"Mein Gott Englanders"

Anonymous said...

"Gri££in's taken down the message about reduced expectations as a few of the commenters were getting a bit antsy. And it sounded embarrassing."

Meanwhile Deputy Chairman Simon Darby has written on his site, BNP members must be prepared for the party not to win anything come close of play on Sunday due to the size of UKIPs vote

Just out of interest, for those who don't use our forum, where local by-election results are logged, in the four elections on June 4th where the BNP vote could be measured against previous outings, we recorded the following:

Radcliffe West (Bury MBC) -2%
Rosegrove and Lowerhouse (Burnley BC) -5.4%
St Andrews (Havering LBC) -1.24%
Waltham Abbey Honey Lane (Epping Forest DC) +4.08

In Eversley(Hart DC) a first time BNP candidate scored 26 votes, or 2.97%.

I love this quote from Simon Darby (on his blog)

"I'm sat here watching the results come in live on the Shropshire Council website having been totally engrossed by declarations and statistics all day. There are
some healthy percentages and our vote does seem to be well up on last time however my main concern is the potential size of the UKIP vote. With this in mind all of you must brace yourself for the possibility of no BNP MEPs by close of play on Sunday night. I am not saying this is going to happen, I'm just saying that it might and we must all understand that the forces waged against us
are truly colossal."

Yes, because most people hate and despise you and your party.

Landale said...

On Scumfront someone said:

"I voted for one - that's in the centre of the range of the possible, as I see it. I think nought is more likely than one, "

Well they should wake up and smell the coffee = nought is what we hope it will be!

It should also be a clear message to Gri$$in and his associates that his views are un-acceptable and to those who follow him that they need to think about why they find him acceptable - the electorate very very clearly does not find his views acceptable.
