Electoral Commission to fine BNP - again

From the Electoral Commission website, July 29th:

Regulatory Action

The British National Party and the party’s Regional Accounting Unit were both granted an extension to the deadline for submitting their statements of accounts. Both have failed to deliver their accounts within the extended deadline so the party will be fined a minimum of £500 and the accounting unit will be fined a minimum £100, this figure will increase if the accounts are more than three months late.

Peter Wardle Chief Executive of the Electoral Commission said: “Political parties play a crucial part in our democracy. But, now more than ever, voters need to be confident that party funding is transparent and that parties will comply with the law.

“While we are disappointed that the British National Party and its accounting unit have failed to submit their accounts on time, I’m glad to see that the majority of the large parties and accounting units have understood the need to ensure their accounts are submitted to us by the deadline set. Transparency about party finances is one of the key factors that can help public confidence in politics.”

In May, the Commission published the financial accounts of 281 political parties and 483 accounting units whose gross income and total expenditure were each £250,000 or less. Accounting units with income and expenditure that are both £25,000 or under are not required to submit their accounts.

The Commission has published a comparison of the parties’ gross annual income and total expenditure from 2003 to 2008. This is available on our website.

The Commission is currently reviewing all the accounts submitted. Where this review suggests that there may have been any breaches of the law we will raise this with the parties and where necessary use our regulatory powers.

So yet again Nick Griffin shows his utter contempt for the members of the BNP by wasting their subscriptions and donations on unnecessary fines incurred through incompetence, stupidity and laziness. I wonder who he'll blame this time around? Kenny? Oh no, too late....

The party has fuck all in its coffers again. Everything gone just to get Cyclops elected and he'll put nothing back no matter how much he makes. Even the last-ditch plea to get the punters to become gold members (twice the membership fee) fell on deaf ears. Oh dear, I feel the onset of donation fatigue.

So that's a fine of at least £600 for failing to get the accounts in on time plus the forfeit of a grands worth of dodgy donations the other day!

Is the bnp made of money?

Not that the party can rely on the European money bailing them out, according to Cyclops' latest blog.

Another electoral roll back to report tonight, this time from Brinsley (Broxtowe Borough Council):

Con 416 (40.90)
BNP 288 (28.32)
LibD 224 (22.03)
Lab 68 (6.69)
UKIP 21 (2.06)

2007
BNP 439 (43.99)
Lab 295 (29.56)
Ind 155 (15.53)
Ind 109 (10.92)

Sadie Graham's vacated seat, of course, this time fought by her fork-tongued former friend Nina Brown.

Four locals now in the last fourteen days where their vote can be measured against previous performances, and only four disasters to show for it.

I see the laughably stupid Stormfronters are trying to blame the BNP's miserable results at Brinsley on "the UKIP factor". I wonder how it was supposed to impact on the BNP vote when it only managed 21 votes itself.

whats happened to Michaela Mackenzie"

She was sacked by Griffin & Dowson for doing her job properly. There's been a new National Nomination Officer appointed named Tanya Lumby from Birmingham. There has been a lot of turmoil in the West Midlands about this, hence 5 organisers being sacked recently by Griffin. Have anybody notice how much ' positive' region news about the W. Midlands region has been appearing on the BNP website recently, this is to cover up the massive problems in the region.

Why do you think Gri££in is doing an appeal for gold membership? To pay the fines....!

Interesting to see in Brinsley that the Tory won (comfortably) but didn't even stand last time. Maybe the local Tory group was deliberately aiming for the racist vote there?
As regards the late accounts - several years, costing the BNP several grand, for useless accounting. Will a few hundred from the new-found wealth of Europe get a proper accountant in to do them each year, and save the party money? Or does Gri££in prefer them to be done by the useless pet-idiots he uses, who make no effort at all to stop him draining the party white (no pun intended) and provide 'plausable deniability' when things go tits up (again)?

I am sure Gri££in (the man who has never had a proper job in his life), now he is on the Euro Gravy Train will bail out the BNP and pays its debts. LOL

Then again maybe not, he will spend the money having big fat dinners, fine wines and expensive cigars in all the posh resturants on the Continent, whilst still draining money from the coffers of the party to squirrel away in secret bank accounts.

"I wonder who he'll blame this time around? Kenny?"

Oh don't worry, he'll find someone to blame. It's certainly never the fault of Nocholardarse Griffin.

You people have it all wrong
Nick griffin is the most honest politician in europe even the UK.

He cannot help the BNP financially on his meagre wage, accomodation in Brussels is very expensive as is eating out. he also needs good suits to present a profesional image.

Look how many times do you people need to be told? Griffin and Brons have put the UK on the world map even the European map They will ride us out of the recession and pave the way for some success in westminster. Already Nick is changing european legislation regarding been allowed to fix your own bike in europe I am sure no one in the left has done anything like that.

Great. Nazis have put us on the map. Something to be proud of, huh?

"They will ride us out of the recession"

They'll ride us out of fuck-all. Griffin and the BNP have NO idea about economics - witness the constant disaster that is the BNP accounts.

"Already Nick is changing european legislation regarding been allowed to fix your own bike in europe I am sure no one in the left has done anything like that."

Well, fuck my boots. That could change the world, legislation like that. How did we ever manage without Nick Griffin?

Ohmigod, you mean that post WASN'T meant to be ironic? I thought it was a joke but you apparently believe all that rubbish you wrote. Get a grip.

And as for all this waffle about bikes - what are you on about? Everyone I know either repairs their own bikes or takes them to one of many local repair outlets. Nick bloody Griffin has nothing to do with it.

Fuck me, that was funny said...

Lee barnes LLb Hons said...

Can you not see Nicks vision?

Just imagine. Gordon cameron the conservative leader rides a bike to work Boris Yeltsin the mayor of London rides a bikes to work. Now if they cant fix their own bike due to some euro legislation they will consider getting into bed ( NOT IN A GAY WAY) with the BNP to fight this legislation

that is why Nick is so clever. he is about to defeat a euro policy which would be monumental in the history of Bristih politics

Now you know why Nick does,nt have a bike

Interesting to note that a story published on the BNP website explains how “the party was being re-organized to cope with the current upsurge of public support.” and there are “huge changes taking place within the party”.

It would seem that this “re-organisation” and the “huge changes” are a reference to something financial given that none other than Mr. Hannam (Treasurer of the BNP) addressed the meeting in this regard. He apparently explained that grants from the EU are subject to guidelines on how they can be spent (must have come as a shock!) and that “donations to good causes” would come out of the two BNP MEP’s personal pockets.
One can only assume that this means that NOTHING will be flowing from the MEP’s pockets to good causes except for the odd pittance which Griffin will make a big song and dance about. One can interpret this to mean that there will be NO obligation on the MEPs to contribute any of their income from their EU positions to the BNP. So Mr. Griffin now has his income to live high on the hog (pig and swine comparisons just come so naturally when discussing the man!) and the BNP voters are once again left with a cover up story.

It is interesting to note that although the story makes no mention of Mr. Kemp, he is clearly addressing the meeting in the photo. Seems he is trying to keep a low profile while still manipulating the party for his own gains and to promote his rubbish books.

This is such an absurd piece of rubbish that even on the BNP website the “loyal supporters” are asking what the story is about and querying what the “huge changes” taking place within the party are as they are not actually mentioned although this was the title of the story.

You might want to have your eyes checked. The man in the photo is NOT Mr. Kemp.

Nice quote from Stormfront here re' the late accounts

"I agree. It's an absolute disgrace; every year there's a different excuse, and it provides a free-on-a-plate gift to our enemies.

The truth is, there's no dirty dealing, or fraud or abuse behind this, or any of the other things our enemies will allege.

It's just 24 carat, gilt-edged, rank incompetence."
