Police warning to land-owner over BNP rally

Whoops, here comes trouble - the BNP's Red, White and Blue is back
Members of the British National Party bringing caravans to the controversial Red, White and Blue festival in Denby in August could face arrest.

Amber Valley Borough Council has written to organiser Alan Warner, who has hosted the event on his land for the past two years, warning him that he risks police intervention by allowing too many caravanners to park on his land during the festival without a licence. Land-owners need a caravan site licence to use their land as a temporary or permanent park for the vehicles and the council says that the excessive number of caravans at last year's festival exceeded the amount allowed without permission.

In a letter to Mr Warner sent earlier this month Amber Valley solicitor Paul Benski said: "Land may not be used as a caravan site, either permanently or temporarily, unless a site licence is held. To do otherwise would constitute a criminal offence. I must ask you to state in clear terms that anyone entering your land with a caravan is a trespasser who does so without your permission. Anyone who then does so is liable to arrest for public order offences."

Alan Warner, whose home was targeted by vandals spraying graffiti again last week, said: "I have told our party to break off all communication with the council. I think it is absolutely ridiculous - talking about coming on site and arresting people in caravans for trespassing. This is clearly victimisation. Other events in the area like the steam rally have many caravans on site with no problems. It looks to me like they have been scouring the legal books looking for something to get us on and this is all they have found. I will simply not allow them on site to do this."

A spokesman for Amber Valley Borough Council said: "Chief Executive Peter Carney is responding to representations from the Chief Constable and complaints after last year's event from residents about the number of caravans on the site giving rise to traffic and noise issues. He is asking the council to make an order prohibiting a trespassory assembly on the land for the event, following a request from the Chief Constable. This is aimed at preventing large numbers of protesters attending the event, and follows the order that was made last year.

"He is also asking the council to apply for an injunction to prevent caravans entering the site because of concerns that planning and caravan legislation will be breached. This is in the event that the landowners do not give an undertaking to comply with this legislation. This is not aimed at stopping the rally itself."

The proposals were to be discussed by the full council yesterday.

More contempt for the law from the party of law and order (ha-ha).

Fuck the neighbours, fuck the law. Makes you wonder what society would be like under a BNP government doesn't it. Chav anarchy?

Eek, it's Lee Barnes' girlfriend!

Is ray winston now in the BNP ?

Nah, it's the BNP's Religious Affairs spokesman come to discuss the party's views on Odinism and paganism. Note the Celtic Cross on the arm. A dead giveaway.

Enoch Powell would have loathed everything about the BNP and would almost certainly have detested Nick Griffin as the common little spiv that he is.

Dunno, but the shirt is probably made in China.

Wasn't Enoch Powell a dyed-in-the-wool Tory who spoke out against the old National Front, accusing it of being a bunch of economic 'Socialists'?

Caravans invading our green and pleasant land? Surely the BNP would be against that.

I can tell you where he most probably got his Enoch T-shirt, from Calder Designs which is run by the former Worcester BNP organiser Martin Roberts who is now based in Norfolk. He produces them and sells them under the white pride banner. Yes I wonder what clever little Enoch would have made of these national socialists selling his image for their own gain, eh!

Does anyone know of any other organisation than Calder Designs and the BNP that produces, sells or wears this t-shirt? Is it uniquely BNP? I saw someone wearing one a week ago and just thought it was a Little Englander chav. But if it can be proved that it's a fash emblem then next time I'll pay a bit more attention. Anyone know?

I think only Calder Designs sells it. I looked all over the BNP's website and Excalibur and didn't see it.

The only one Calder designs sells as far as I can see is this one below, its different to the one in the photo and its also available from sportingkicks, the Calder one that is not the one on the photo

After doing a search for Enoch Powell+tshirts the only places that seem to sell them are the BNP, their purveyors of tat Excaliber and a company called Sporting Kicks who advertise themselves as a hooligan shop.
Sporting Kicks are supporters of the BNP and they are based in Illford

Further to my earlier point, I should have put a bet on it. From Eyebrow Darby's blog:
"I wonder if the council would clamp down so hard on a gypsy congregation that set up camp in the area? Perhaps, we should turn up in fancy dress as travellers, they wouldn't dare touch us then, it would be blatant discrimination and wacism wouldn't it?" Jeez!

Calder is one of the few adverts on the laughable British Pages along with the Ace of Diamonds, Kimberly Hotel and assorted other BNP businesses.

RE: Enoch Powell racist tops sold by footba hooligan outfit.

Funny how a great deal of the BNP membership are brainless football hooligans. Says a lot for their mentality!

Maybe the BNP thug pictured is a Chelsea Headhunters bonehead???

I was wondering if the FA might take a dim view of Calder designs selling official merchandise alongside "Golly Badges" , Enoch Powell T shirts, racist badges and generally having a very distasteful range of products clearly going against the grain of everything the FIFA's ethos is of kicking out racism in football.

Just a thought and a very long sentence with lots of commas

Kick It Out if the FA's antiracism campaign.

They need to be contacted.

Thanks for all the info re the t-shirt. The knobhead I saw wearing it was near Tesco's on Ecclesall Road in Sheffield about a week to a week and half ago round about mid-day. Presumably he lives or works round there. It's a big student area and no way an area where the BNP would be strong so he stuck out a bit. I was going to say he's fat, bald and about forty but do I need to?

There is a BNP supporter who lives on one of the roads leading up to the General Cemetery who fits your description, I've had a run in with him in the past in that area.
