A recent RWB attendee complete with hardcore nazi Blood and Honour tattooEighty coachloads of anti-Fascists are to protest over the Red, White and Blue festival in Denby, which is likely to attract thousands of supporters next weekend. Up to a thousand police officers will be stationed in the village. There was violence last year and greater disruption is expected this time. It is the BNP’s first mass gathering since it won two European seats in June.
Lee Barron, a trade union organiser of the protest, said that a peaceful march was planned and that violent protesters should stay away.
The BNP advertises its festival as a family event involving historical re-enactments, Morris dancing and a dog show. However, previously there have been complaints by local people about skinheads with vicious dogs descending on their village and playing tapes of Third Reich martial tunes.
Police officers have been granted special powers across the four-day event, which begins on Friday, to prevent more than 20 people gathering in certain areas of the village, among other restrictions.
Residents asked to remain anonymous for fear of retribution for speaking out against the BNP, but told The Times that the party was not welcome. One said: “It is a place of warmth and tolerance and we don’t want to be associated with these people.”
Simon Darby, the deputy leader of the BNP, denied that the location of the festival was inappropriate and said that the presence of two BNP representatives on the local council showed that the party had support. “We’d have the same problems wherever we had it. Its the Left that are causing all the problems,” Mr Darby said.
Weyman Bennett, of the Unite Against Fascism group, said that the BNP rally would be a “magnet for Fascists and neo-Nazis from across Europe”. Mr Bennett said: “We want to make sure that there is opposition.”
The festival, in its tenth year, was moved from Lancashire to Denby three years ago. It will be held on a 34-acre property owned by Alan Warner, a local BNP member.

I think its because of the demo last year Im afraid. If they had moved it, it would like they had lost thats why I (personally) am against this demos at the bnp hatefest, like i said last year, its better to have 1000 to 15000 of the most dedicated bnpers on a field in the middle of nowhere preahcing to the converted than it is to have them leafletting or campaigning amongst the general public.
Dont spose many will agree with my view but I feel this demo is counter productive - especially if there are more arrests this year.
Why not have a weekend of leafletting in Warners area - isnt he a councillor?
Maybe Martin Wingfield will lead the BNPs charge..... Like he did the NFs once, yeah i ofund it hard to believe but heres aphoto of the "respectable" wingfield apparently with a chair ready to 'have a go'

I agree with you completely. Let them have their family get-togethers, because at least at that time they are not making trouble for others outside.
From what I have seen of past BNP festivals the RWB is another opportunity to rip-off the poor members.
There are all sorts of tatty merchandise and services on offer, let alone paying for some of the 'attractions' and exorbitant mark-ups on food and bevvies for the captive BNP audience.
In addition for ever-changing (increasing) charges for membership, and a constant stream of begging letters from the highly-paid Nick Griffin, the members are inundated with requests to support other BNP ventures from the racist tat sold by the likes of Martin Roberts to rip-off music from various artists assembled and marketed by BNP; from white racist books by Arthur Kemp (marketed as essential reading for all members), to fortune telling and rune readings by the batty Odin worshippers.
RWB festival is really Ripoff Whites Beanfest.
Make the BNP twats pay for the policing of this hatefest. Put a levy on every vehicle and person attending; no payment, no admission. Plus (strip)search every vehicle and person entering the site, just like they did for the power station protest last year.
Why should the us True Brits and the good folk of Derbyshire have to foot the bill for this rabble of Nazis?

Exactly Barbara, let them waste their time in a field at least it stops them canvassing and leafletting for a bit.
Its late and in my original post I meant 1000 to 1500 not, hopefully obviously, 15000. That would be a dream for them, they havent even got that number of members
