News has reached us today that the British National Party (BNP) candidate who hoped to be standing for election in Peterborough has failed to get the required (10) nominations to stand for election on May 6th.
The BNP Candidate for Peterborough was to be Dave Strickson, but it seems he couldn’t raise the tiny number of 10 people to nominate him to be able to qualify to stand in the 2010 General Election. The BNP doesn’t appear to be standing any candidates on May 6th for Peterborough Council either, you can read the full list of prospective candidates for election on May 6th here.
This latest failure to gain enough nominations only adds to a dismal 2010 for the BNP, whom have also failed to get enough nominations to stand a mayoral candidate in Hackney on top of gaining just 2,236 votes across the United Kingdom during 2010 in council by-elections of which the BNP have stood candidates in 12 of those elections.

It's a shame in a way. If he couldn't get ten nominations just how many votes would he have received?

So, BNP rent-a-thug and professional mockney from Essex didn't get nominations in Peterborough. I guess the good people of Peterborough read his interview 10 years with a music magazine in which he boasted of racist and homophobic violence or what he calls "Paki-bashing" and "queer-bashing" as well as boasting of his football violence and theft. And, let's not forget Dave Strickson's music business that sells albums by neo-Nazi bands, his own songs against the police and his recent campaign to boycott Scotland! And, oh on his Yahoo profile Dave Strickson boasts of being a "racist" and admits to his admiratin for French fascist and convicted holocaust denier Le Pen on Facebook. Typical racist, moronic BNP scum.
Mind you I recall a bye election some years ago in Faversham Watling Ward where the Nazional Front scored less than 10 votes.
Which is interesting as you needed 10 monikers on your nomination papers.

He might not be standing in Peterborough anymore but he is still standing in Thurrock.
Does anyone know where I can find the interview that Strickson did where he mentions P*ki bashing etc.
