Trade unionists and anti-racists in Bridgwater, a town with a proud history of radicalism, are angered by the news a BNP candidate is standing for election in their town.
For the first time in the town's history, the BNP has put up a candidate for the Somerset County Council elections. The candidate is Roger Bennett, who earns his living managing time-share apartments to English people in Spain!
Bridgwater Trades Union Council has organised a meeting tonight (Wednesday, May 13th) to launch a campaign against the BNP. They are meeting at 7.30pm, at the Unity Club, 7 Dampiet Street. Please come along if you can.
